TURBOSQUID owe me $26.00 since 5 years. I closed my account after considering that I was paying too much of their royalty (Lost most of my money with their royalties cost) and instead of sending me kindly a check like as I strongly asked, they sent the money to my old and closed paypal account where I cannot access or get my money. They told me that it's not their problem. Please stay away from them, they steal 40% from the artists.

Here's the previous message from them:
Your royalty amount is 40%; Therefore, your balance is currently $26.00.

TurboSquid is one of my best sites to buy and sell 3d models

I just wanted a $10 model to experiment with in Blender. Chose one, added to Shopping Cart, paid, and then got a message that I'd have to wait ten minutes to download my purchase because it is being 'reviewed' (?)
I then got an email asking me to send/upload a jpeg of my driver's license (!?) which they would then additionally review (for a measly $10 purchase!?)
I've been making purchase online for over 10 years, and never once been asked to send ID through for verification, before they'll 'release' the product I've just bought!
I went to a similar site, purchased, and downloaded a similar (and cheaper) model, all within a minute.
TurboSquid - Clearly a SCAM. AVOID.

Turbosquid took my $40 and I never got the model I bought - no reply to anything via web site or customer service, have had to resort to Paypal to try and get a refund. - Don't buy frpm Turbosquid you will lose your money!!

I was hoping that all the hate against Turbosquid was wrong. It's perfectly correct.

Aside from making ridiculous requirements out of nowhere: if you created the project in Blender, they want you to pretend that's what you rendered it in, even if you didn't.

Go ahead and upload STL files. Then they'll wait a day and disable the project. When asking why you'll get the answer "We'll contact you if we need to".

HUGE take from artists, less website functionality all-around in comparison to CGTrader or SketchFab. The UI is AWFUL and requires use of an incredibly unsafe version of Flash. Want to use their uploader? You'll have to use IE, Edge, or Opera! What??

I need to get at my drafts right now. Can't. Just taking me back to my published page. I need to apparently suddenly fix half of my projects out of nowhere.

Just had all of my projects suddenly taken down with "Overlays on all images" because there is a TINY overlay on the upper-left. They suddenly all have the "No wireframes" complaint despite being up for ages. Okay.

- It requires much more work to post.
- You will probably have to lie about the renderer if you didn't render in the program you modelled within.
- It may just be suddenly taken down without warning.
- Despite looking through all of these projects, project after project after project, none of which have any wireframes, half of mine are taken down because there's no wireframe image. So it's kind of arbitrary apparently.
- They will take MOST of your profits. As if they have done the work to account for that. Their uploader can only take ONE FILE AT A TIME if you don't use a browser that can use an insecure version of Flash that other browsers have rightfully disabled.

TurboSquid are a Draconian Institution that deserve all the bad press that can be heaped on them. They are outdated (the Website is atrocious), the treatment of their 3D Artists is appalling (the Royalties are the worst out there) and they cannot handle healthy competition. They deserve to go Extinct, like all the other Dinosaurs. Use CGTrader instead - they look after their 3D Artists....

I've been engaged with Turbosquid as a buyer as well as a seller for almost 9 years.

Whenever I had a question or issue, I've received an immediate response from their friendly support team. They're one of the best.

As a seller, I've been amazed how they're able to analyze the future in industry and make timely investments to provide their artists and customers Trainings, Automations, New tools, Pipelines and Quality Standards. Initiatives like Stemcell, Pixelsquid, Syndications and Checkmate standards are some of these unique features of Turbosquid.

Turbosquid takes 60% of your money you make from 3D models, and has one of the WORST modelling publishing systems I have ever seen. It's clearly banking off its name and not providing developers any incentive to use the platform. I'd rather go with the Unreal Engine marketplace (88%) or CGTrader (70%).

I was a seller on TurboSquid for a number of years, but their unethical business practices and desire to force any competition off the market by any means necessary, even if it meant stepping on their sellers and customers while paying the lowest royalty rates of anyone, drove me away eventually.

I used Turbo Squid for about 10 years now and it is the best 3D models website I know.

Turbo SQUID is a terrible company they literally will take money for an 3D model you pay for and not give you the item. There customer service sucks even more chat support online is useless no number to contact anyone and if you call all you get is an answering service. Many good things come out of Louisiana but TurboSquid is not one of those things they are a terrible company in every sense of the word use other means to buy 3d models not TurboSquid!
