In relation to the carriage charge, we appreciate where you are coming from. Its unfortunate that due to the long lengths national couriers class it as "ugly freight" and charge high rates for carriage. We do subsidise the carriage charge to try and make it more reasonable for our customers.

Mistake quickly rectified
A mistake was made ordering coving. I spoke directly to a helpful person in the sales office. who was helpful in rectifying the error, and kind to waive an additional charge wich they weren't obliged to do. Companies like this are few and far between

The quality of the product is excellent…
The quality of the product is excellent - some other brands are too soft and can be dented easily but this one is a hard finish so theres no need to fill dents. My order arrived and was very well packaged - unfortunately one of the pieces had a fracture through the middle but i e mailed customer support and they responded really quickly and got me a replacement straight out no problem so the customer care experience was first class.

The product itself is great and was easy to cut and install, really looks great. I was 1m short on the room in the end and asked if I could have one length to finish off but was told that I would have to buy 10 more lengths. The reason given is that a pack of 10 cannot be split. So left me with no other choice but to order more to do another room that is not required and will sit in storage. I ordered 13 so the pack must have been split to make up this order. I would recommend the product but advise that you should order much more than you need especially if you have alcoves and allow for any mistakes because you will be forced to buy a further 10 lengths.

With regards to the Minimum order quantity of 10 lengths, this is only on a handful of products due to the material being less dense than others so travels much better with multiple lengths. However, for most products you can order 1 length if need be.
We appreciate your advice which is correct, we recommend that customers measure accurately and order 5-10% extra metreage to allow for wastage and mitres as we understand it can be frustrating ordering an extra 10 lengths when only 1 metre is required.

Beware of Measurements and Customer Service
We ordered multiple 2m lengths of moulding, expecting exactly that, but each one arrived several centimeters short. While this is apparently stated in the terms and conditions (our mistake for missing it), we feel that if something is advertised as 2m, it should be 2m.
This caused major issues, as our measurements were tight and the shorter lengths left us short on material. The real frustration began when we tried to resolve the issue. The customer service support felt non-existent, and getting any kind of resolution took a huge amount of time and effort on our part.
Eventually, after spending a lot of time chasing this, they agreed to cover shipping for a new length—which we still had to purchase ourselves. They blamed their supplier (ORCA in our case), but as a customer, that’s not acceptable.
The product quality was otherwise fine, but due to the misleading sizing and lack of support, we’ll either go straight to the manufacturer next time or find a more reliable supplier. Would not recommend UK Home Interiors.

Thank you for your review. We’re genuinely sorry to hear about your disappointment and would like to clarify a few points from our side.
Our mouldings are listed as 2m in length, with a small manufacturing tolerance of up to 2% as stated in our terms and conditions. While we understand this was unfortunately missed during your planning, it is an industry standard and is noted to help avoid situations like this. Having sold these mouldings to the UK market for over 25 years, this is the first time we’ve heard of an issue like this. We have not been able to verify this, nor have you been able to produce photographic evidence showing the discrepancy.
Upon your first contact with us, we immediately dispatched a free of charge 30cm length to help cover the shortfall (4cm in total) while we investigated the matter with the manufacturer. This offer was declined by yourself, with no explanation. We understood your time was limited on the project and whilst we were still waiting on clarification from the manufacturer, you suggested you’d want to purchase a full length but wanted free shipping. You also raised a concern about not wanting multiple joins which we advised that our Jointing Adhesive is designed to weld the joins together to make them hard to see, but you did not want to use this. Eitherway with a 30cm piece or a full length, the number of joins would be the same.
Although we had not received compensation from the manufacturer and despite no photographic evidence showing the discrepancy was provided, we agreed to your request as a gesture of goodwill in order to resolve the matter swiftly for you. We are still yet to understand why the 30cm sample piece we initially provided was not enough to cover this shortfall.
We do take customer concerns seriously and always aim to offer fair and helpful resolutions. We do believe in this case we have gone above and beyond what is expected of us. It’s not typical business practice to supply products free of charge without any evidence that the company is at fault. Should you provide adequate proof, we will, of course, review the case further.
Excellent product with great delivery
Excellent product with great delivery. The Art Deco Cornice 7 was easy to fit, adhesive held well immediately due to the light weight of each section, cutting mitres was easy and cuts very clean/sharp, completed a large room very quickly. Would recommend
