This must be the least customer…
This must be the least customer oriented company I have ever seen. On November 22nd I had a flat tyre replaced at their west London workshop. After the Christmas holiday I noticed the tyre pressure was a bit low so I pumped the tyre and after a couple of weeks the pressure was down again. Went to get it checked and I was told the tyre was leaking from the rim. I explained to them that the tyre had never leaked before so this was almost certainly a problem associated with the replacement back in November. I explained I had been a customer for over 25 years and that if I had to pay for the repair I would not be able to come back. The guy still went ahead and charged me for the "repair" so £20 is what customer loyalty is worth to this company. Appalling.
According to UK Tyres the issue in January was new and not linked to tyre replacement done in November. My car is 11 years old and that wheel never leaked before. So I find it extremely hard to believe that after 11 years a leak developed on that wheel one month after it was replaced by UK Tyres. I also explained to the guys that I had been using UK Tyres for 25 years and that if they charged me for the repair I would stop using them. They still charged me £20 so that is the value UK Tyres gives to 25 years of loyalty. Of course the issue here is not the money cause £20 is not much. But it clearly shows the company is more interested in making £20 than keeping a long term customer happy. Very short sighted in my opinion and certainly not a company I want to do business with.
