Poor service standards
We have been let down very badly by the staff and service level at this branch. They supplied and fitted a carpet with a fault. Then despite us being amicable and agreeing a discount to be applied against a future purchase, we have been let down badly with the supply of the next carpet. This is despite checking initially that there would be no problem with future supplies. Having got to the 3rd delay in delivery and fitting , we no longer had any confidence in their abilities to fulfil the order, particularly as throughout we have had the chase them as calls have not been returned.

We completely understand your frustration at experiencing multiple delays with your subsequent order and the inconvenience caused by having to repeatedly chase updates when calls were not returned.

Hall and stairs
We have bought all our carpets from United carpets and beds for at least the last 25 yrs, even when on Portwood in Stockport.

So pleased with this shop from start to finish. Really helpful staff in the Hazel Grove store, made the purchase super easy. The fitter arrived as scheduled and did a fantastic job, would not hesitate to use them again and recommend to others. Great price too.

Guess I’ll be sleeping on the sofa then.
Ordered father a new bed with mattress, and also an extra mattress for my bed, took a week and a half for delivery. Was told the 30th of January would arrive, so cleared out old bed and both mattresses outside to be removed. Delivery lads arrived at 5:30pm only to be told that the store hadn’t added the extra mattress for delivery and now the store was closed. The old mattress had been left outside for the day and was a little damp due to weather, so I was sleeping on a small sofa for the night! Not great. I phone the store in the morning Chris said he simply forgot and apologised, fair enough. I also asked Chris for a small discount for the inconvenience or for maybe a couple of pillows to be thrown in for the inconvenience, to which he promptly rejected and told me to contact head office instead which I did. Head office wasn’t interested either and told me to contact the store. They’re clearly not interested once they have your money. Mattress was delivered later that day. (31st) day after. Delivery lads were great. But as a company very Poor, zero good will gesture, not interested in my inconvenience, wish I’d gone elsewhere. Won’t be using this company again, shame for them as I was planning to make further purchases. But certainly won’t be doing. Do not recommend.

As previously discussed with both the store and Head office, the mattress was arranged to be brought to you the next day due to the late time it was and having no drivers available. We would never advise a customer to put the disposal outside in case there are any issues with the delivery, so that you are still able to use your own product.
We offered our sincerest apologise for this issue and provided a resolution the next day via the store. We can only apologise for the inconvenience caused but can ensure all items have now been received.

Low cost and perfect service
I went to several carpet stores in and around south Manchester and United Carpets was the cheapest. They gave me a price which was very agreeable and booked me in. On the day the carpet fitter arrived and went about doing his job. Zero complaints. Got exactly what I paid for with no surprises.
