So so bad
One of the worst customer service experiences we've ever had.
2 cancelled fittings on the day they were meant to come, so had no flooring for 14 days.
The person on the end of the phone never had a clue who we were and what was happening.
No apologies, no offer of a discount for the inconvenience.
I would stay away from these cowboys - we actually thought we'd been scammed as it was so bad and started to contact our bank.

Good all round experience
Good selection in store, accomodating with planning fitting, Fitters arrived on time and were in and out no problem no messing happy to work around my impractical bed! really quick efficient, nice carpet cant fault the whole process and free fitting aswel so splashed out on underlay

Previously had carpet and LVT…
Previously had carpet and LVT installers do a good job. The last installer was rude, spent a lot of time outside smoking, left rubbish behind, and a part of the LVT in the middle of the floor lifts up when you stand on it. Went to shop to ask them to look at it. Said they'd call and never got back to us. (This review is three weeks after requesting a visit.)

Great carpet and great service
Today I've just had the carpet fitted on the stairs and landing. The carpet is very good quality and the guys who fitted it, were friendly and very efficient 👍 This was the third time I ordered the carpet from United and definitely would order again. Thank you! 😊

The fitters did a great job efficiently, but the wait for the carpet and lack of store communication lowered the overall experience.

Fitter ruined my skirting board not…
Fitter ruined my skirting board not just in one place, but in several places to make a long story short both norrie mackie (the owner) and the fitter came to my property to view the damage and proceeded to give me the run of the mill excuses, the fitter didnt want to own up to the damages and behaved unprofessional towards me during the visit. In the end i didnt recieve any compensation, both the fitter and the owner should be ashamed of themselves. This company takes your money with a big grin, but when problems arise they dont want to hear about it and blame you!

I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the result of the investigation into your issue.
Excellent customer experiences are what we strive to achieve every time, however on the rare occasion that issues do arise, we are quick to rectify them. On this occasion, and as discussed with the store owner and independent fitter during their inspection in your home, they were not able to attribute any damages to the work undertaken. They were therefore unable to offer you any compensation.

New vinyl flooring for kitchen
Wanted new vinyl flooring for kitchen. Really good in store advice, ordered samples online which arrived very quickly. The guys who took up the old vinyl and laid the new did a great job. The finished result looks perfect! If you are looking for new flooring in Nottingham, United Carpets & Beds, Ladybay Retail Park, should be your first port of call!

Shane
Visited the Lady Bay branch on 30th May 2024 30 minutes before the store was due to close. Shane was there on his own and went through a range of carpets for a bedroom Tapi Carpets failed to give a competitive price on. He was extremely personable and I was able to quickly choose carpet and underlay with fitting before the store closed. I will now use this branch for all of my buy to let properties.

Left mess
They was very good with measuring up and talking to us about how long it would take to get the carpet fitted but after the first contact we had no more it took 3 weeks fir the carpet to arrive we was not informed what was happening or why it was taking so long. When the fitters came the left all their rubbish cut offs and mess all over the carpet so I had to try and clean it up when I have terminal cancer I was so upset that they just left so much mess it made my experience awful unfortunately

I have spoken to the store regarding your experience and they said they did advise on the carpet delay due to your carpet being a special order and needed to be ordered in and that is why your carpet took longer than usual to arrive in-store.
Our independent fitters should leave all off cuts bagged up ready for disposal however we do not offer a waste removal service and this should of been made clear at point of purchase.
