This dental insurance company pays out about 40% of the cost of a cleaning and my dentist charges less than most of the dentists in my area. Even worse they paid only 34% of the cost of a filling and that was after deliberating whether they would pay for it at all.

After trying for 6 months I have not been able to successfully get my claim filed. I have filed on line, I have mailed everything in, I have tried calling. I have also repeated every possible method to submit a claim each month. All I get back is they haven't received anything and sent to use a non-functional website.

As a military member paying for monthly dental and then paying fully out of pocket with no way to dispute it this is the WORST customer care possible. I am not even sure how they are in business. Shame on them.

I have had no issues with this company for dental insurance. We've got the Elite Plus plan through my husband's employer. It covers regular cleanings and exams at 100%. And covers 80% for most other things. They're accepted at many places I've looked into. So far, so good.

This review is several months late because I thought I would need to create a special Trust Pilot account, and it gradually got buried at the bottom of my to-do list. All the same, I have permanently ended my plan with iDental of United Concordia. Your service has proven dishonest. About 17 months ago, I had a dentist's appointment. When I arrived, I found they discontinued accepting iDental, and I went home without service having wasted a trip. That I could tolerate. I could put the blame on the individual dentist for doing a poor job of notifying me. What happened the following time is a different story. This time, I had called in advance shortly before my appointment to confirm iDental was still accepted (at the new dentist) and it was confirmed on the phone. Beyond that, there were exactly 10 dentists on your website shown to accept the plan at the address I went to (1329 E Tennessee St, Tallahassee, FL 32308). Of course, when I get there, I am told my plan is not accepted by any of the dentists actually at that location, and my plan expired a few days later with me being unable to make other arrangements in time. That's two wasted trips and a whole year of my plan wasted.

I had contacted support about this, and they didn't even have the decency to respond. However, there was never any hesitation for your company to pester me with offers of promotional "discounts".
