I have used this company for car hire in Florida and UK for the best part of 20 years. I have never had a problem with the booking or the pick up process and on the few times that my plans have changed and I have cancelled a booking the refund as been quick and painless.

Booked a rental car from Washinton DC with a drop off in Orlando. Paid for 500$ for the car. Made to pay an additional 350$ ( :( ) when i dropped off the car for a one way charge. When i complained to USCH they stated that they made it clear when i booked the car that the additional charge would be due on drop off. However, on the purchase screen & final invoice from USCH it said no such thing, it stated the fuel, insurance and hire charges but no mention of the one way fee. My point is they porposely omit it from the final invoice to make you think that the car is cheaper than it is. Worse, at the top of the invoice it states TOTAL charges, which leads one to believe total includes att he charges...wrong. It only includes the charges from US Car Hire and not the 3rd party, This does not happen when using RentalCars.com which i have used for years. Here the one way charge is fully visible on the final invoice and when paying up front. Transparent & fair with no surprises.

Gave 2 stars as up until this point they provided a good service i felt.

Used on several holidays , always zero issues.

After pre booking our hire car through Expedia and paying what we believed was the $160 USD for the 2 day hire, when we received the final account on our Visa card provided at the Thrifty counter, we had actually charged a further $246.38 USD fir the 2 day hire. When I have contacted their customer relations email (impossible to speak with a human) about the over charges, they have informed me that the extra fees are their “Value Add” services that I had agreed too when I picked up the vehicle and handed over my credit card a fir the deposit. They have also informed me that I was charged insurances for 3 days as I had returned the vehicle late at 12.56pm I have contacted them once again and provided the receipt for the Uber I took after dropping the vehicle off and it clearly shows the time being 10.18am. I have received no further communication from Thrifty since sending the Uber receipt despite clearly being overcharged. Do not use Thrifty/Hertz

TBH, thought the price was too good to be true as it was far better than anything else we had seen, and was expecting problems when we got to Orlando... but it was true, everything was great. I had a query before we travelled and Carolyn dealt with it quickly. Will be using them every time now.

Best price I could find for the car and dates I wanted by some considerable margin. Includes all of the extra coverage options Alamo offer as standard. Everything went perfectly smoothly, no unexpected charges.

I have used this company 3 times when going to Florida and our up and coming trip to LA. Very competitive rates no hidden charges when collecting the car and every car we've had has been upgraded for free. Very easy booking procedure and a good iPhone app. Very happy customer! highly recommended.
