Would Recommend

Bought a couple of Velux branded blinds. They arrived in about two weeks. No issues at all. Got responses to a couple of email queries that I sent.

Arrogance personified!

I spoke to a person first of all and told them the details of the blind I wanted. She seemmed veru short of listening skills and urged me to send an email rather than note down my requirements. 4 emails later from between me and the MD of the company asking stupid questions I was eventually told to purchase the blinds locally. What was all this about? what a shocking company to interact with

After years of the wife complaining…

After years of the wife complaining about not having black out blinds I finally decided to give in and open my wallet. I had to buy four black out blinds to fit our M04 Velux windows. Having seen the price of Velux windows i decided to shop around for an alternative that fit the window. The blinds I bought from Vale were exactly the same but without the price tag. Vales customer service was excellent and the blinds are superb. We now get a better nights sleep but the wife's still miserable!!

Excellent and prompt customer service

I experienced an immediate fault with a non-Velux branded blind. I left Vale Blinds a voice-mail and they emailed back within a day. After explaining the problem with the blind, I got another email saying that they understood the cause and confirmed that a refund would be processed. I re-ordered from Vale, deciding to go with Velux.

Excellent and prompt customer service. Couldn't have asked for more. Which is rare these days :)

Shutters and blinds - excellent all round

Just had front of house fitted with shutters.
Excellent service, good communication throughout.
Excellent quality, very well fitted.
Exceeded our expectations, hence 5 star review and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Had blinds fitted in kitchen, experience as above.

Highly recommended!

We ordered some blackout blinds from Vale and I must say the quality is superb! Really easy to install and pitch black in the room. We've had a couple of different sets of blinds from other providers and Vale is by far the best we've had. Great customer service throughout a really challenging time! Would highly recommend. Thanks Team :)

Excellent

I was delighted with the service from initial measuring through to installation of curtains and blinds, Philip was quick to respond, knowledgeable, and was able to identify a number of fitting issues which needed to be planned for, it avoided issues on the day of fitting. The quality of the curtains and blinds was excellent. The price was competitive but not cheap, overall I would give a strong recommendation, and would absolutely return in the future.

Non-existent customer service - avoid at all costs

We bought a remote (battery) powered atrium blind. Despite Vale's claims that this was easy to fit it certainly wasn't.The instructions received are fragmentary and did not cover the type of blind bought. When clarification was sought further instructions were sent quickly enough, but these also did not apply to remote battery powered atrium blinds. In particular the blind itself contained no facility to tension the strings along which the blind has to run. Getting that tension correct is central to the blind's operation. We contacted the copmany several times. Despite a promise of help from their 'technical department', no reply has ever been received. This is a husband and wife team running a shop selling other firm's products and with severely restricted knowledge of what they are selling... rather a contrast to a glitzy website. The goods certainly arrived promptly, but Vale's interest in you as a customer largely and meaningfully ceases on that date. Given that these products aren't cheap to buy you would probably be better not to buy online.

Quick and on time delivery, quality product and excellent customer service

Just over a week ago I ordered 3 vale blinds for my velux windows.

Today they arrived and unfortunately one of the blinds was slightly damaged. A couple of emails and an hour later a replacement blind is in production and will be with me in a few days. My problem was solved with no fuss, very quickly and very politely, brilliant customer service. Thanks Sharon.

I went ahead and fitted 2 of the blinds, they fit perfectly, are very easy and quick to fit and look as good and work just as well as the one original velux blind I had.

All in all a very good experience and Vale Blinds come highly recommended by me.

Poor Customer Service!!

I was extremely disappointed with the service from this company and whilst I understand that they order blinds from the manufacturer, I am their customer and expected to be provided with good customer service! I ordered 2 blinds which I had to chase a delivery date for and came at the very last point of their 2-3 week estimate. When they did arrived one of them was damaged. After an email I was told that Keylite, the manufacturer, was dispatching a replacement part that would be delivered to me on the Monday. By the Thursday they had still not arrived and after a second set of emails I was told that the parts had been delivered to a neighbour the previous day. I had been given no indication that this was the case. I made several requests for financial compensation for the considerable inconvenience which have just been ignored!!!

Velux is quality

The correct Velux blind arrived on time. It was well packed with clear instructions and all the necessary components. The blind is high quality and performs very well. I needed to replace the original blind and following the precise instructions and viewing the YouTube Velux video, did it without any problems. Velux is quality and the blind replacement underlined the old adage of you get what you pay for

Excellent Service

I've ordered several Luxaflex blinds from Vale Blinds and I've been very happy with the service. They have answered email queries very promptly (much faster than most companies) and seem very knowledgeable. The products I've purchased are advertised with a good discount at a sensible price.

It seems that Luxaflex don't provide any tracking details when orders are dispatched, but I managed to obtain a delivery date recently by contacting Vale Blinds who appear to have a very good working relationship with this manufacturer.

I recently needed some parts replaced under warranty and this was handled very professionally.

This company will continue to be my first choice when buying blinds in future.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service
They failed to provide adequate customer service when things go wrong. I ordered a flat roof blind , firstly had to chase for a delivery date, when finely arrived, I booked in the job for that weekend , I found that the fitting instructions were totally wrong , they clearly stated that the side rails were pre drilled, they were not this made fitting much more difficult having to mark out and drill holes into the rails.
Also essential fittings were not present, I had no alternative than to go out and source theses, as the job needed to be completed that weekend.
I relayed these issues to Vale Blinds through email, and felt that some sort of goodwill gesture would be appropriate at least to cover my cost of time and effort drilling the side rails and obtaining fixings to complete the job, this was ignored, they did agree that the wrong fitting instructions had been sent , and that they had not done this for several years , strange they still had copies after such a long time, this was hard to dispute as I copied the instructions and forwarded them to Vale Blinds.
I sent a total of eight emails, every reply ignored my request for compensation, considering I spent nearly £500 on this blind , and to receive such dreadful customer service is disgusting.
This is not a isolated case as there are many negative reviews on Vale Blinds and all of them quote the number one issue of poor customer service, we all can’t be wrong can we, this is such a shame as the product is good it’s just let down by some of the worst customer service I have come across.
I will never purchase or deal with this company again, and will not be recommending them to the many people in the trade that I deal with.

We pride ourselves on good customer service and if we are informed of any problems at the time, we would always offer to help in any way we can.
You emailed us approx.. 2 weeks after fitting the blind. If you had notified us of the missing screws at the point of realising they were missing we would have been able to post these out straight away. Again, we can always email you instructions or guide you through fitting if we are asked. Fitting instructions are also available online.
As you know, we have replied to all your emails apologising and offering help.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Poor delivery service

I ordered a 'next day' blind last Thursday and despite calling to check it would definitely be delivered the next day it did not arrive. I called Vale and was advised that it would be Monday. On Monday I was told that it would be today (Tuesday). I used the next day service, made sure I ordered before the morning cut off time and called to check. If the blind arrives today it will be 5 days. The blind was needed for a Velux window for a new tenant of mine. I am embarrassed that his first experience of me as a landlord is now a series or broken promises. Would avoid this company if your order is time sensitive.
