Don't Trust this Company

I'm giving one star for exactly the same reason other people are doing so. 😡 This $19.99 charge for Thread Heads, which I was never given any information about and NEVER agreed to. I see that it was just added as a $0 charge on my last order, I thought maybe it was a sticker they were including but had forgotten. Today I just noticed this charge on my credit card out of the blue. And thanks to my daughter researching it — and finding others having the same issue — it looks like they signed me up for a subscription without my consent. Unbelievable. it's too bad, I liked their shirts, but this is really crappy business practice. This really pisses me off. 🤬

Good shirt, shady subscription charge

I ordered a shirt on March 25, 2026 using a discount code. After a week with no updates, I contacted customer service and was told it was in process. Later that day (April 1), I received shipping info, and the shirt arrived April 6. It fits well and held up fine in the wash.

The issue came on April 25, when I noticed a $19.99 charge on my card. The shirt was my only purchase, but my order also listed something called “thread heads” as free. Like others, I assumed it was a small bonus item—but it’s actually a monthly subscription for store discounts. This was never clearly disclosed, and I didn’t opt into it.

I’ve contacted customer service to reverse the charge and cancel the subscription. If I don’t hear back by end of day on April 27, I’ll dispute it with my bank and block further charges. It’s a deceptive practice, which is frustrating because the product itself is good. I was considering buying more, but after this, I’m done.

They add on a monthly subscription without telling you

Ordered a t-shirt on 3/20 which arrived on 4/6. It was a nice shirt and good quality. on 4/20 I get billed for 19.99. Turns out it's a membership subscription that starts the following month. Nowhere did I sign up for it and did not see it anywhere on the website unless it's tucked in the fine print which is SUPER SHADY. Will never buy from this company again!

$19.99 "subscription" charge that I didn't authorize

I ordered a t-shirt for my boyfriend in November 2024. He loved the design and it held up well...until I ruined it via a laundry mishap. (Chapstick in the dryer. Don't recommend.) He was sad about it, so I headed back over to Viking Goods to buy a replacement. That's when the trouble started.

I put the shirt in my cart, along with another shirt for myself to get free shipping. When I checked out, my browser extension automatically applied coupon codes to get me the best deal. When I saw the low price after the coupon was applied (now waaaaaaay below the free shipping threshold), I figured I may as well get another shirt and bring the order total up high enough for free shipping. Great, right?

Nope. The price was shockingly low, the shirts came, and everything was fine...until it wasn't.

Exactly one month after I ordered, I just happened to be looking at my credit card transactions and saw Viking Goods had charged me $19.99 earlier that day. What the heck? I hadn't ordered anything else.

I checked my order confirmation to make sure I hadn't forgotten about anything. Nope. But I did see something I'd forgotten about: "Threadheads x1" and the price was listed as "free." I remember being a little confused when I initially got the confirmation, but figured it was some kind of free gift that would be included with my order...a sticker or something.

Uh...nope. I emailed customer service about the weird charge. They replied a few days later, saying it was my "monthly subscription." What? Subscription?

Yeah...you can buy a subscription for $19.99/month to get 50% off at their website. Why would anyone do that? Who is buying t-shirts often enough and in large enough quantities that this makes sense?

Apparently Viking Goods thought this was something I wanted, and added it to my order. My order summary says *nothing* beyond "free." Nothing about how a monthly charge will kick in later on, nothing about how to opt out, NOTHING. I was just signed up for this without my knowledge or consent.

Super shady. We like the shirts, but we will never buy anything from this company again because of the shady practices that

Ordered 2 shirts which took about a…

Ordered 2 shirts which took about a month to arrive. Then they charged me 19.99 a month later for a "subscription" to their website that I did not sign up for. I went back to their website to double check and no where was this subscription mentioned, it's a total scam.

Ordered a shirt in February..good quality but I look at my bank account March 30th and they took out 19.99 for a subscription fee which i did not sign up for..there is no live person to talk to you have to email them with no response ..I advise everyone to avoid this company

19 days and zero order fulfillment

I placed an order for 4 items on 12/1. After 2 weeks, I emailed customer service and asked for order status and a tracking number. They responded 2 days later saying the order was on the way and provided a DHL tracking number link. I went to the link and it indicated it was invalid or incorrect. I wrote again and after 2 days they responded and said:

"Thank you for your patience as we look into your order. Unfortunately, we were unable to fulfill the items on your order, which means that we cannot ship any part of it at this time. We understand how important it is for you to receive your items before Christmas, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

We have processed a full refund for your order. Alternatively, if you’re interested in selecting different items that are available for quicker shipping, you can go ahead and repurchase.

Thank you for choosing Viking Goods, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter."

Really? After waiting 19 days, having to ask 2x about status and providing inaccurate information? Thanks a lot Viking for your poor processes since it does impact my Christmas gift giving! Never again Viking!

Subscription scam

They have a kind of scam that a month after I ordered 5 t-shirts from them, they charged my card for a "Threadheads" subscription. I did NOT want to have a subscription nor did I expect that they would force one on me. And I have will never do business with these guys again!

2 weeks from order date to shipping

Placed an order in December 10 for one item. We live in PA and this is a PA company. The shirt never shipped until December 24 - 2 weeks after the order was placed!!! Nothing saying when the order was placed that it would not arrive in time for holiday. Next time I will spend my money much more wisely and not with this fake home-state company.

Never shipped

Ordered two shirts, never shipped. Customer service never responded to my email either. Pretty bad, considering the warehouse is in the state I live in. I will probably need to get a refund through my credit card at this point.

Sketchy at best.

Similar experience to others. Ordered 15 days ago without verifying the company (never do that). At 10 days, contacted their CS email. I received an email promising shipment “this week”. Have asked for a cancel and refund. Will dispute through my bank. Don’t order, even if some people report getting their merch, this place is sketchy. No employees in LinkedIn. No other news or info on the web.

Waiting for weeks to get two tee's I ordered through an Instagram store front. Still have not received it and can't get any updates from the online website. A day after I ordered, someone hacked my Debit card. I'm guessing these are related events.

The 2 tee shirts I ordered came fairly quickly. About a week. But the quality was bad. Have net washed them yet as my son didn’t like either of them so I guess I’ll wear mine to bed. Oh well, waste of money. Why deceive your customers. Cheap garbage.

Never received merchandise, was met with gaslighting

This was a good company to get merchandise from until it all of a sudden wasn't: I ordered two shirts from them, and after waiting almost two months with no communication or updates, asked repeatedly for a reimbursement. Each inquiry was met with a "They are coming" or "they are shipping in two days!" though that never happened. After being met with enough gaslighting from "Nicole" I asked for a complete refund. Will never order from this weird company again.
