Interesting timing…
Having looked more closely at the review history, something seems very interesting.
For a company that presents itself as such an experienced, professional and highly regarded organisation, there was apparently no review history here whatsoever — no five-star reviews, no four-star reviews, nothing.
Then, following a genuinely negative customer review, suddenly two glowing five-star reviews appear within days of each other.
Even more interestingly, both reviewers have only ever posted this single review on Trustpilot, and both have a direct connection to VOLI's body corporate management business — one identifying themselves as a body corporate committee member and the other as an owner living in a complex managed by VOLI.
I'm certainly not suggesting that either person isn't entitled to their opinion. But for such a “great company”, as Jean describes VOLI in her review, having no review history whatsoever and then suddenly having two glowing five-star reviews from people connected to its managed communities appear immediately after a negative review is, at the very least, rather curious.
VOLI's own website says:
“We believe in building long-term partnerships through trust, transparency, and genuine service.”
Trust and transparency are important things. So too is having a review history that gives prospective customers a genuine picture of people's experiences — good and bad.
I think I'll leave readers to look at the sequence for themselves and draw their own conclusions.
A five-star review is easy to publish. What matters much more is how a company behaves when someone gives them one star.
