I hired a car for a day. The cost was very reasonable compared to other hire companies. I had no problems with the car. The customer service was excellent and there was no attempt to aggressively 'up sell' extra insurance like I have experienced with other car hire companies. It's also a short walk from where I live so I will most likely hire a car from them again in the future.

Needed a car at short notice for a couple of days and Rob helped me out straight away. No fuss or bother was driving away in about 20 mins after an earlier phone call. Would highly recommend and will certainly use the service again if needed. Thank you.

Very easy rental arrangement, and an neat, very driveable little Fabia, with good performance and excellent fuel economy.

All staff were helpful and professional, with thorough knowledge of the car, and some sound advice.

We had the car for a little over 4 weeks and needed to extend by a day, which was easily arranged over the phone.
Rates were excellent as compared to rental from Manchester airport.

We like renting from them as they are cheap and their customer service is excellent! Always treated nicely by everyone and they will come to you as soon as you enter the door!
The only thing I would like to point out is when they take your card for the deposit, normally no one is allowed to enter the 3 digits from the back of the card but the account holder, maybe in the future make is so people can enter their details on your website or have a screen where they can do it? I found this a bit disturbing hence my rating but again I highly recommend them as they are professional and any questions that I had was answered! Thank you.

Smooth handover process with friendly customer service and no annoying upselling like most car rental firms. Car was modern, comfortable and as described.

The Skoda Kodiaq was clean and ready for collection at the appointed time. It had half a tank of diesel and was to be returned with at least the same amount of fuel. Apart from an erroneous error message about “SOS Emergency error” appearing en route which caused us to check with the dealer and DriveLine service we had no problems. The error reset itself after a short wait with the engine off and did not appear again. My only reservation with the car, hence the 4 rather than 5 star review was that the model of Kodiaq supplied was without the SatNav function enabled. The dealer set up my iPhone with Apple CarPlay and Google Maps to act as a SatNav but it drained my iPhone so quickly, even when connected to a 12v USB adapter, that it was not a viable solution. Luckily I had also brought along my Garmin SatNav and we proceeded to use that. I have to say that not having the factory fitted SatNav option enabled on a hire car was a negative item.

The car was comfortable, easy to drive and did not feel like the very large vehicle it is. The 400+ miles we drove has convinced us that we shall shortly be buying our own Kodiaq.

Brilliant experience. Robert Whittle at the Sheffield Branch couldn’t be more helpful. Definitely would use them again. The cars are well looked after too. Cheaper than enterprise three quarters of a mile down the road.

Katy and Rob were really helpful in providing us with a lovely rental car when it became apparent that they had no car available for us. Katy quickly organised a car from their Mansfield branch which was made available to us first thing the very next morning by Rob.
We had the car for a full week at a very reasonable rate and it fulfilled all our requirements and more and enabled us to visit many family members in the sort space of time we had. Would highly recommend.

The service I had from Rob for the whole experience of a weeks hire was excellent.
Everything was quick and efficient - document completion and signing; payment and the drive away process.
He took the time to show me how all the controls I needed worked amd nothing was too much trouble.
All phone calls and queries were answered politely.
Highly recommended hire at a very compettive price.

We found VWFS more by luck than judgment as we booked late for Christmas. We could not have been happier with their service from start to finish and it was brilliant to find a local company rather than one of the big boys who were quoting ridiculously inflated prices. Pick-up was very straight forward and the car was brand new and very well equipped. Drop-off was just as easy as pick-up. The biggest compliment I can pay them is that I will be using them again when I'm next back in Sheffield and need a rental car.
