Operating since 1999, Websleuths operates with a focus on truth over rumor, facts over speculation. Our moderation team works hard to make sure that posts that appear on our site are backed by real journalists, investigators, and law enforcement. While the rest of the internet spins out of control, chasing speculation and conspiracy theories, Websleuths remains stalwart in our conviction to operate with integrity. One of our most popular sections is our Missing Persons category. There, our sleuths share information about cases going back decades. If you're more interested in current cases, you can always browse through our New Posts area at the top of every page and keep current on the latest stories. We hope you come and visit us, say hello, and learn for yourself why Websleuths remains the internet's most trusted True Crime forum!

Another scam websites. Once you signed up you cant delete the account.
A bunch of community individuals who have random delusions, assumptions, and nosiness, combined with the inability to source well, to read sources with detail, or to discuss in ways with any substantial contribution outside of basic, superficial discourse. It’s the opposite of what the site name implies. You can find infinitely better “web-sleuths” on Reddit or Discord. The members are useless for the purposes intended, with all due respect.
I just get the "Sorry, you have been blocked
You are unable to access websleuths.com" message by Cloudflare.
I don´t recall having visited this site in 20 years or so.

After recent discussions I have seen, Websleuths seems to be nothing more than a front for obtaining monies and taking advantage of kind, well-meaning people. There are quite a few deep dives currently being completed which are bringing information to light. Whilst I used to enjoy watching Websleuths I will no longer be participating. I hope the truth comes to light.
EDIT - My actual personal information was hidden due to your employee admitting she looks at members IP addresses and obtains their personal information. Why would I want you to have my actual phone number/address? It is not a targeted attack and I am not affiliated with any content creators. My opinions are my own based on the many public record documents that are widely available.

Rejoined the site 2 years later. Banned within days. This site needs removing from the internet. The moderators get some sick enjoyment from deleting posts. Nothing has changed since I last went on here 2 years ago. Spent 2-3 hours pulling evidence from legitimate sources and posting it on the site? Yeah, it'll get deleted. I spent around 3 hours researching a very small part of a case, but the facts of what I found clearly upset one of the mods and they deleted it. I know a friend who was on this site and got banned. The bottom line is, unless they agree with your posts, or you "donate", they'll eventually delete comments / warn you / ban you. A truly awful environment run by internet-addicts who clearly have no real job and sit on the website 24/7. The poor reviews on here says it all.
I agree with the other posters concerning websleuth. It appears to be a fraud. Although I have the most intimate information about a missing person and posted a slew of details (5 or 6 posts in all) that anyone and their brother could look up and verify as factual, suddenly my time to post on that site was erased with the notice that I did not include links (something NONE of the other commenters had to do). Firstly, had they had the consideration to ask me to include online links to verify my words, I surely would have entertained that request; but Secondly, nowhere in their TOS do they specify that our posts will be deleted without links (in fact, just the opposite). This is a site probably set up by the predator system (think hard, you know who they are; rhymes with facebook, youtube, reddit, and all the other 14 eyes countries <---wikipedia if you aren't aware). There remains only 1/6 of my websleuth information available (was the other posts too graphic, contain too much information?). Either way, the visitors to that site will assume that all I said was contained within that one solitary "allowed" post concerning the missing cretin.

Web sleuths will not accept any info not already on the internet they can't confirm is already not on the internet. I am a retired County Investigator and now a Private Investigator and operate my on FB site Northern WI missing persons and unsolved crimes. I was banned from the site basically because I knew too much made them uncomfortable. The only up point is there members do appear to care about missing persons and some will consolidate links to missing person sites valuable for actual investigators to look at to do the real investigating

Worst group group ever. People who used to admin and co run the group left because they could not get along with those still running it. There jealous of anyone knows more then them., punish people for not going against there tos. crazy couldn't run a group in a bucket. its chalk full of bullies and folks who have butted into crime victims lives. bunch old house wives that never solved nothing. and think there all that because they were mention on tv a few times. put there nose up on links from youtube or facebook but use those places them selves hyprocrites. think they are the center of the universe. there so abusive to folks. they need to be taken down .dont bother with them. failure of a group.
Very bad site, especially for those witnesses who’ve witnessed a very bad crime. Websleuths denied things, have evidence & screenshots. I’d stay away from them. Is it time to shut the site down?
If I could give Websleuths a zero, I would. Being a member at Websleuths feels like standing in line for soup from the Soup Nazi (Seinfeld episode). Every time you post, you live in fear of the power-hungry Karens who pose as moderators. If they don't like you, your post gets removed and you get banned, usually without explanation, but occasionally you'll get a knuckle rap via a private message you can't even respond to. They don't care about actual justice, only being an echo chamber for everyone who thinks the way the administration thinks they should think, all while begging for money.

I posted a flyer for a Jane doe that linked a 50 year old missing person and an unidentified person and I got banned because I didn’t get it off of the internet!
They deleted the picture. WOW I am sorry for all of those families that may have hope because that website has probably done more to prevent any crimes from being solved.

Sadly this site is moderated by a group of outcasts and misanthropes who are more likely to commit crime than solve crime. The lunatics control this asylum.
Just a bunch of people with too much time on their hands and play wannabe detective. Nothing but rumors and trash talk about people THEY think are guilty - whether or not law enforcement does. The owner, Tricia, picks the side that will make her the most money and then lets them run wild, banning those that don't agree. Crazy place!

I was just banned because I contacted friend of missing person offering to help research, get the word out, anything I could do.
All family of said missing person live overseas with English NOT first language. I have capability to find out stuff so volunteered to help. First I received 3 day 'time out' – sit on the naughty step for 3 days and think about rule I broke (in Kindergarten are we ??)
There was a side group chat where I could still post – members invited others...unfortunately at least one wrong one was added. Reported me for continuing to offer help whilst knowing it's not “allowed”
There are good, lovely, kind-hearted members there who genuinely want to help BUT owner/mods don't ALLOW you to actually help. It's a dictatorship of the highest degree (think North Korea) Power tripping individuals....guess I shoulda known I was not gonna last long there!
If you get attacked and talk back, especially if you don't have the opinion that Websleuths favors and are not a regular poster, your posts will be deleted or edited. Only your posts, not the posts attacking or mocking you.
As others have said, there is no sleuthing allowed, just links to newspaper articles and a few random youtubers (for whatever reason, why are a few hand picked random youtubers allowed as sources?).
The owner whining on stream the last couple of days about how law enforcement won't let her and her great forum help with cases ... that did it for me, it's ridiculous. How can a bunch of random people on the internet solve any crime? A lot of them can't even read and understand a legal document and only post for the drama (of the crimes and on the forum), if anything, LE has to stay as far away from them as possible, they'd just make investigations more complicated thinking their opinions matter and bugging LE with them when they don't even have any of the evidence.
I rarely posted for the reasons stated above and stopped lurking years ago (just look at cases that I'm interested in, if there are new developments, once in a while) because even when lurking, you usually only get posts that go in the direction that Websleuths wants and there is almost no discussion going on, seems like a lot of posts get deleted and a lot of people with different opinions are run off, so even lurking is just watching people agreeing with each other, sometimes for years, while being toxic with people who don't share the same opinion until they got rid of them.
But hey, maybe they will solve a crime one day by being toxic and posting links to news articles.
Somebody posted something positive about Trump in a Trump thread and got absolutely eviscerated by and condescended to by the sad old biddies suffering from an ugly case of terminal TDS. AZPistonsGirl was especially nasty and provoking which is probably a good sign that she should put down the box o wine and step away from the Internet.

I registered for their website and was on for a day and the next day they banned me for advertising and I did not advertise. I want on a live stream to ask for help and they didn't care enough to check into this. I even emailed and ask for help no reply what so ever. This is a joke and sad to see that I am not the only one who thinks this site is BS.

The utterly pathetic "mod" SillyBilly is still on a power hungry trip modding according to them and their buddies' biases. The Trump indictment thread has had almost all the pro-Trump posts deleted and all of the anti-Trump posts remain including the ones name-calling and defaming Trump supporters. Don't go to Websleuths thinking you'll get open unbiased discussions.
A website called websleuths but u can't sleuth ..
Unless ur quoting from a verified source , which is a newspaper
That's not sleuthing....
Victims sister stated a fact I posted the fact and was then told off for posting the fact ..
Was a member for many years
Wont bother going back , money grabbing and power hungry

Respuesta de Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community
Real sources are not allowed on websleuths, you can post crap about victims families calling them liars but if someone posts facts refuting that their posts are edited by the mods.
Go somewhere else, the moderators on websleuths are very bias a immature.
