Very glad we used WH COX, they made the removal very easy and relaxing. A great job would definitely recommend.

The staff in the office were friendly and answered queries quickly enough. Usually I could get an answer on the phone.
The removals men were actually sent from the parent umbrella group in Acton. I chose WH cox as they were local to me. I wasn’t told they would be subcontracted sort of.
The packing crew were fine. They broke a vase and framed mirror neither were important so wasn’t worth claiming on the insurance. Got a bit stress about fitting it all in the lorry as they didn’t see the house themselves and kept asking is that going too??. Unpacked into the new house fine and collected boxes to be recycled

Great removal company reliable trustworthy and efficient. I’ve used this company since 1986 for all my moves. They take the stress out of moving and do the work all in a day unlike some other firms.

W.H . Cox took our furniture into storage for 2 years. We recently had our furniture returned and everything was as it was 2 years ago. A good service with friendly and helpful people on site.

I chose to have packers, but only one person did the packing which took 6 hours.
The unloading the other end was pretty random and I ended up with the kitchen piled high with boxes, so I couldn’t access the cooker or the fridge! I don’t think I would bother with packers, if I choose to move again, which I have no plans to do in the foreseeable future!

The whole team were fantastic and made the whole process very smooth. Easy booking process and they guy was lovely who came to quote and it took about 10 minutes in total. We moved over two days and Pete was extremely experienced and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend WH Cox and Son Removals to anyone, in fact my friend had used them twice and recommended them to me. Thanks to all in the W H Cox Team, super job!

Just did a great job with no fuss. Sent in back up team when needed. Ideal service with a confident and easy going appro9ach (at least that's how it looked!). Recommended

So helpful, cheerful and professional from start to finish, despite trying weather and a host of other challenges. I cannot recommend these guys enough. They made what could have been a very stressful day purposeful, amicable and calm.

On a hot day, the removal guys worked really hard and kept their sense of humour. The move was done quickly and pretty efficiently.
Sadly however, in their haste, quite a few things were left in kitchen cupboards and drawers, and there was some poor packing in some boxes (eg. an orchid, unprotected, at the bottom of a box)
But apart from that, a good job.

Several good reviews on this company ("WHC") This will not be an addition to the list.

i) I should have heard alarm bells from the start. My first conversation with WHC consisted mainly of the woman in the office dictating to me what I could and couldn't do in a highly negative manner not designed to promote good PR.

ii) Eventually we visited the office and sat there and watched whilst they diarised a date for collection of our goods. Some time later when, we 'phoned about something else, we discovered that they had
cancelled it without prior reference to us on the basis they "hadn't heard from us". Too idle to pick up the 'phone and enquire why they "hadn't heard from us" presumably.

iii) As a result we had to have the majority collected one day and the remainder on Completion Day, 2 days later. It was fortuitous that the goods were going in to store otherwise chaos could have ensued.
The one good aspect of this whole debacle was the men who came to collect the goods-they were polite, helpful, efficient, apart from one to whom I had to lend tools to dismantle a bed, and cheerful.

iv) Some months later the day arrived for delivery of our goods to our new home some 70 miles away and this is where the trouble started.

At 10.00 two vans arrived plus two men, the third having gone off sick apparently, who proceeded to offload our goods at lightning speed,
actually running around like men possessed, despite the fact this was their only job of the day.

Result???

a) piece of decorative gilding knocked off an antique mirror. They didn't bother to bring it to our attention but just dropped the piece in a pine box containing tools. Had I have not needed one of the tools the following day the broken piece could have lain undiscovered for weeks thus negating my ability to make an insurance claim.

b) piece of cornicing knocked off a wooden wall unit. Again not mentioned and discovered much later stuffed in one of the drawers in the unit

c) 2 slats ripped off a wooden garden bench which had been renovated only months before.

d) last, but most serious, the head knocked off an antique
marble statue. This could not be "forgotten" as I watched the operative unloading it and heard the thud as he dropped it.

Ah! I hear you say, no problem it was all insured and WHC sorted it all out for you.

Wrong!! It IS insured but WHC just email you a claim form and you have to do all the work making the claim and negotiating with the insurance company, something they don't tell you. When I queried this with WHC they stated that as the goods are not theirs and they do not know their value they are not able to send details of them to the insurance company. I pointed out that such information would be readily available from me but to date have not received any reaction so the point obviously escapes them. It didn't help the situation when the last piece of correspondence from WHC stopped just short of accusing me of fabricating the whole affair and stated also ".. our crews are professional Removal men, so they endeavour to complete each removal job in a professional and careful manner" a statement not supported by the facts in this case.

Now, some 9 weeks later I have received agreement for two of the damaged items to be repaired, no thanks to WHC and due solely to a lot of work by me, so to put it in a nutshell, if they damage your goods they wash their hands of the whole affair and leave you to sort it out.
I shudder to think what you would experience if the insurance did not cover your repair costs and you had to resort to claiming on WHC for the difference.

All in all a unfortunate experience with the one good aspect wholly negated by the remainder. Moving house is stressful enough without a removal firm making it worse

Great professional, prompt, friendly service at a very competitive quote. Simple and efficient process from initial quote to removal day.

Do not hesitate - simply book these fantastic guys. So experienced, polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble (not even huge sofas and lots of flights of stairs) and they kept me informed on everything.

I booked at short notice and Alex simply fitted me in and sent two great guys and a luton. All completed in four hours from start to finish and anything they had to dismantle and positioned and put back together for me.

Simply brilliant on every level.

We had a piano moved for us from Shepperton to Wandsworth by Pete and Ricky. Both of them provided a superb service - they went the extra mile and suggested using a cloth under the piano legs to stop the weight denting our floor. I was very impressed and will certainly recommend the company to others!

I had some furniture to move internally. They were helpful, flexible and the work was done quickly, efficiently and cheerfully.

Fantastic service, fantastic team (Lee and James). Couldn’t recommend them more highly. From start to finish we were moved and unloaded within 4 hours. Would use them again.

I’d not moved for 50 years, so this was all a bit of a new experience! A friend recommended Cox’s to me but I wasn’t sure what to expect in this frenetic world of ours, where everyone’s in such a hurry to finish the job as quickly as possible. However, thankfully there is still some old-world courtesy and willingness to be helpful, as my move proved. 4 friendly and efficient young men arrived on the day before The Move to pack up the accumulated rubbish of 50 years, and didn’t turn a hair at the mammoth task ahead of them, having it beautifully packed into 54 boxes in what must have been record time - incredible!
The next day they arrived punctually and, without any fuss, managed to pack everything into their van in about 4 hours, and finished delivery in another 4. This was all done with such efficiency, kindness and cheerfulness, it took away much of the trauma of moving at 82! All the boxes had been clearly labelled, and I was asked exactly where I wanted each piece of furniture to go!
I cannot recommend Cox’s highly enough! Thank you so much for your help in allievating an old lady’s nightmare! 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
