From the moment we instructed Sam and Lee-Anne to support us during our sale and purchase we knew we were in the best hands. As a first-time seller, I couldn't have asked for a better property lawyer than Tracey. Tracey made what could have been a stressful process feel straightforward and manageable from start to finish. She kept me updated every step of the way and dealt with any issues quickly and efficiently. Whenever I didn't understand something, she took the time to explain it clearly and always provided reassurance. Her expertise, attention to detail, communication, and support were outstanding.

I'd also like to mention Tracey's legal assistant, Kerry, who was equally fantastic. She was always helpful, friendly, and quick to assist whenever I had questions or needed an update. My mum purchased a property back in July, and the lack of communication and complete disregard for her concerns from this solicitor has been appalling.

Despite numerous attempts to get an update, nobody seems willing to respond. We emailed Natasha on 29th September to formally raise a complaint, and we have still received no reply.

My mum is understandably anxious and worried, especially as this is such an important matter. To make things worse, she has now been fined £100, which has only added to the stress and frustration of an already unacceptable situation.

Buying a property is a huge financial and emotional commitment, and the very least a client should expect is basic communication, updates and a response when a formal complaint is raised. Being left in the dark for weeks, with nobody taking responsibility or providing reassurance, is simply not good enough.

It is incredibly disappointing that my mum has been left feeling this stressed and ignored during what should have been a straightforward process. We expect someone to take accountability, respond to the complaint and explain what has happened.

I would not recommend this firm based on our experience so far. The lack of communication and customer care has been extremely poor.

Absolutely five star - I cannot recommend Woodstock's Zoe Turner and James Brittle team warmly enough. From first to last, I was given excellent advice. The team is friendly, personable and generous with its time (Zoe even took a Teams call during her annual leave). My problem was resolved with minimal expense. I had a complex tenancy issue, with an elderly tenant with substantial health issues, for whom my flat had become wholly unsuitable and whom I had given notice to expedite Council assistance with sheltered housing. Council at first maintained that rehousing was subject to formal eviction proceedings. Zoe made a very helpful contribution to my email correspondence with Council. It was at Zoe's advice that I held back with formal eviction proceedings. My tenant has now moved to assisted Council accommodation without having to face court proceedings, while I have been spared the substantial costs of such proceedings. I very warmly commend Zoe Turner and James Brittle.

Charlotte Davitt and Rachael Aydemir competed our conveyancing for the sale of our previous property and the purchase of our new home.
They were both amazing, from the date of instruction communication with us at all stages. Towards the end due to a set completion deadline by developers they were fantastic at ensuring our sale and completion happens on the set date by putting the right amount of pressure on our purchasers solicitor. We would have no hesitation in recommending them and thank them both for all their hard work.

Extremely disappointing experience with Woodstock Legal Services, and unfortunately I cannot recommend this firm.

We were part of a lengthy property chain and were unfortunate enough to be directly affected by the delays caused by Woodstock Legal Services. Their handling of the chain was extremely poor and ultimately held up exchange and, even more seriously, contributed to the transaction not completing on the agreed completion date.

Arooj Lodhi was the solicitor dealing with the chain, and communication was consistently far below the standard you would expect when dealing with something as important and time-sensitive as a house transaction. Responses were often not provided in a timely manner, updates were difficult to obtain, and there appeared to be very little urgency despite the significant impact the delays were having on everyone else in the chain.

What was particularly frustrating was the lack of anyone available to provide meaningful updates or take ownership of progressing matters. It was incredibly difficult to get any sense that the situation was being treated with the urgency it required.

I want to be clear that this review is not simply about Arooj Lodhi as an individual. The wider issue is with Woodstock Legal Services as a firm. A legal firm should have the appropriate systems, communication and oversight in place to ensure that one transaction does not cause an entire chain to stall. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

The consequences for those of us further along the chain were significant. We had removals arranged, plans in place and were ready to move, only for the transaction not to go through on the agreed completion date. This caused considerable stress, disruption and additional costs that could have been avoided.

When you are dealing with a property transaction, delays have real and immediate consequences for everyone involved. There needs to be clear communication, urgency and accountability. Unfortunately, our experience was that none of these were evident when they were needed most.

We were not Woodstock’s clients, but we were the unfortunate people in the chain who had to deal with the consequences of their handling of the transaction. Based on our experience, I would strongly urge anyone considering using Woodstock Legal Services to think very carefully about whether they are confident they will receive the level of service and communication required for such an important transaction.
