If i could give 0 stars I would

If i could give 0 stars I would.
Extremely disappointing experience with Workforce Australia.
I was finally offered a job with Expression Australia, but before I could start, I was required to pay for a Working with Children Check and an NDIS Check, costing over $360. As someone currently receiving minimal Centrelink payments, this simply was not something I could afford upfront, so I contacted Workforce Australia for assistance.
I tried calling twice. The first time, I waited on hold for over 3 hours, with a recording repeatedly saying they may not even be able to reach my call and to try calling back another day. I called again the following day and waited another 2 hours. Seriously?
I then emailed asking for help and received an automatic response saying they were experiencing a high volume of emails and did not know when they would be able to respond. I needed urgent assistance because I had a job waiting for me which i would start the second week of September, but there was absolutely no way to speak to anyone.
In the end, I had no choice but to let the job go because I could not afford the upfront cost of the required checks and Workforce Australia was impossible to contact for assistance. It is incredibly disappointing and frustrating to think that I could have been working right soon, but had to give up the opportunity because the very service that is supposed to help people find and maintain employment could not be reached when I needed them most.
What is the point of telling people you are there to help them get into work when you cannot even get through to anyone for help? I had a job, I wanted to work, and I did everything I could to seek assistance. Unfortunately, I was left without support and lost the opportunity as a result. Very disappointing.

Call wait times are RIDICULOUS and customer service unhelpful.
Can’t have a simple question answered without jumping through hoops and did I mention the 1-2 hour wait time on calls?!

Dawa, Setareh, David and Fiona

I would like to do a shoutout to Workforce Hornsby in particular, the following staff Setareh, Dawa, Michael and Fiona. Wow did I hit the jackpot with Setareh, Dawa and Michael. Dawa is being transferred to Workforce Auburn what a loss she is going to be for Hornsby. It has been my pleasure and honour to work with Dawa over the last year she is efficient, kind, considerate, professional every adjective there is to describe a lovely kind person is what Dawa is. Setareh has also been so kind to me and professional. Michael I have had the pleasure of speaking with him on the phone and meeting him today in person for the first time. What a nice man. He is also kind and considerate and truly listens to you as do Dawah and Setareh. I also had the absolute pleasure of meeting with Fiona today who will take over from Dawa at the end of the month. Fiona was friendly and helpful, assisted me with adding an attachment to an email on a iphone. I know this sounds silly however, being technically challenged she just did it for me with a smile on her face and did not say no to me. Its so nice to meet such lovely people who are all so kind. I have yet to have the pleasure of meeting the other staff, however, I am sure they are all as nice as the above I have mentioned. I could not imagine anyone working there would be anything but. I am looking forward to working with Fiona in the future but am so so sad that Dawa is being transferred. She will be a great loss to the team at Hornsby. Setareh, David and Fiona you cannot leave you are stuck with me.

Shocking

Shocking, harrassive bullying and controlling, constantly threatening to cut your payments which is playing god with your life, the messages via email and text don't stop, it's my age that is stopping me from obtaining meaningful employment not my skillset or desire, they create mental anguish and stress,. You can only apply for work that you are skilled for , we can't just get up and move around Australia,
This unfair practice needs to be revised and fixed,
It's truly disgusting and wrong, I have never felt so dominated and controlled in all my years, workforce Australia does not care about anything but Thier KPIs
Even after making a written complaint about Thier treatment and attitude nothing changes.
Today 28th I waited 2 and a quarter hours for 3 minutes of Thier time all the while being told on Thier phone service that they provide a quality respectful service and also telling me that I was in a que and would be acknowledged shortly every 10 minutes, I found this whole call to be patronising and passive aggressive, the woman that took my call appeared calm, almost as if she had just finished a coffee and a chat.
I think that the customers needs and mental health need to be taken into consideration, a person should not be waiting on the phone for 2 hours as seems common after reading other reviews, or even one hour is way too long, they then expect you to be polite and respectful after you have given up half your day waiting and listening to what could only be called lies on their wait service. Not good enough,

2 hour wait not matter what time you call them. I called them 1 second after opening and still 2 hours. call them halfway through the day - 2 hour wait. At least get a service where you can input a phone number and they call you back? thats insane. No one is going to wait 2 hours.

Terrible phone system

Workforce's phone line system is terrible as is the National Customer Service line. No one has time to wait for more than 2 hours for a conversation with a real person. I cannot seem to get a proper answer even on email for my questions either.

If I could rate 0 stars I would

If I could rate 0 stars I would. 2 years ive been owed money for being sent to a couple jobs where I wasn't meant to be sent to. This is my legal right to be paid for being sent to work were no work is required. Tried again today and they say "I hope we paid you mate". After proving they didn't, they ignored me. They don't care because they know I won't take it to court because id loose more than I gain. Do not work for this company.

Workforce force Australia is an absolute absurd service. They are very slow at picking up the phone and they force you to do courses you have no interest in doing. They dont care about the way they treat you because they know we can't say anything otherwise they'll just put my payment on hold. VERY DISPLEASING SERVICE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYBODY.

Phone hold more than 1.5 hours

Been on hold over an hour as they approved a claim but the job plan won't load after four calls Centrelink can't help refer me to workforce wait times over a 1.5 hr wait still not through faceless organisation of hold music they are worse than any other govt organisation I've contacted and no office to get help as centrelink refer you back to them. Lodged formal complaint as trying to access a job plan and it's frozen and centrelink advised it not ticked off they may cut my pays which took four calls to fix. Almost lost my new job having to make all these phone calls they give you no other communication options they need online chat desperately for job plan issues or info Tech problems

Don't become Unemployed if you don't want to be treated like garbage…

This is the corrupt and discriminate job system that the unemployed have to work with in order to get a job and the way the system treats them is disgraceful. All job seekers have to look for their own jobs on line eg Seek, Jora, Indeed and the employment agencies do nothing. These mostly Arrogant and Dumb Employment Consultants don't listen to their clients or care whether or not you have an injury, they just want you to get a job so they can receive a big fat bonus. If you complain about your Employment Consultant or Job Provider nothing gets done about it but if the Employment Consultant complains about their client action is taken immediately and your payments are stopped. This system makes the job seeker score points for looking for jobs and doing other things like courses attending appointments etc and if you don't make your target you are penalized. Each jobseeker is allocated so much money from the Government to do training etc but when you try to do something the Employment Consultants try and talk you out of it so the money stays in their account. This system is Racist towards White People and if Aboriginal People were treated the same way as this system treats the Unemployed their would be an outcry and an investigation. The Unemployed are Bullied into doing sometimes worthless activities; Forced to sign jobplans that they sometimes don't agree with and are Threatened with having their payments stopped if they don't do what they are asked
