this was a first for me, and the young man from youcompare Shane was very nice and very patient with me. l felt verycomfortable with him. However he did say that paperwork would be in the mail within 10 days and lm still waiting. l did receive a letter from agl unless thats what he was talking about.

Polite operators but incompetent job…
Polite operators but incompetent job done - the set up for a simple transfer of energy providers was completely wrong and cost time and money. I had to personally sort out the faults again. Not impressed and will never use them again. They also did not call back on a booked callback call to initially complete the sale and job to top things off.

I was told that as my 2 properties did…
I was told that as my 2 properties did not have solar Origin would give me a 28% discount.
I currently had a 21% discount on both usage & supply which I told the "You compare" girl. What I wasn't told by her was that if I went to 28% I would lose my discount on supply as 28% I found out later by ringing Origin only applies to usage
"You compare" should lose your commission as I have now cancelled 28% and reverted to 21%

The customer service person was very…
The customer service person was very polite, however, it took sooooo long to complete. Also, I find it very difficult to understand someone who may have an accent. This was annoying at times, I am sure for both of us. Me saying, 'can you repeat that, or I'm sorry I didn't understand, and the service person having to repeat themselves. The terms and conditions which need to be read to the customer, takes far too long and honestly it becomes difficult to stay interested and listen properly. I would rather sign up on line than go though the process again.
Dealing with UCOMPARE
Dealing with UCOMPARE electricity is important to know THAT YOU NEED 1 HOUR ON THE PHONE AND BEFORE ANY AGREEMENT WITH THEM be sure you know the following to compare CURRENT AND NEW RETAILER:
Curreent Rates of the Retailer (current and new)
Discounts for Loyalty ( %??)
Discounts for Usage Rate per KWH (%??)
Discounts for Supply Rate per day (%??)
Discounts for QLD Electricity Rabate (Rate per day)
In my case I was told only of the Usage discounts and misleading to be extended to the others discounts.
Therefore do not forget to clarify fairly the 5 Rates and Discounts above before you do the deal with UCOMPARE OR YOUR RETAILER
Each time of contact
Each time of contact, the mobile phone coverage was very poor, and very hard to hear. I would prefer land line, which we don't have now.
