Yamee Ebikes: Warning!

Warning! Be very cautious before executing any transaction with YAMEE. My bike arrived with MULTIPLE defects. Two serious safety issues. Two issues in the motor that left the bike inoperable. Shipping damage to the bike's frame. The rear air shock had a bad chamber, resulting in complete air loss. Will not hold air. I reported to Yamee within 12 hours of receipt. The motor on my bike cuts out under load, and cuts out under acceleration at 15MPH. Settings are set to a class-3 bike. I sent Yamee 3 videos documenting the problems. Initial discussions with customer support indicated they would send replacement parts. I rejected this option. I am not their bike repair service. I paid for a new, fully functional bike. Their sales terms and conditions clearly indicate they will refund or replace defective units. I requested an exchange for another bike (their policy). They refused to do this. And when I pushed them to follow their own policy, they went dark and no longer respond to my emails. Completely ghosted me. Their "phone number" goes straight to voicemail. My only option now is legal action, which is unfortunate. ENTER A RELATIONSHIP WITH YAMEE WITH EXTREME CAUTION. There are many better options out there. Save yourself this frustration.

Ordered a rattan xl from indegogo the…

Ordered a rattan xl from indegogo the bike didn’t arrive for months customer service did not behave in a way of any professionalism they kept passing me around which became very frustrating Eventually the bike turned up 4 months on when it arrived it was missing a set of tyres I ordered the company kept lying various silly excuses saying they didn’t fit in the box etc any one who’s had a bike from them knows the box is massive and would of fitted easily they they replied they will take 3 weeks do I want them still most of this is in broken English which drove me mad putting the bike together I started noticing damage all over inc a bent deraliur and paint chips loose spokes and bolts etc I was not impressed after weeks of complaining they said they would send me some stickers to cover the chips and refund for the tyres I mean come on stickers to cover the damage and a refund then they said bend the derailiur straight all in broken English I mean again come on then I noticed after I had the hangar straightened that the design of the frame was so off that the bike cannot select easy gear no matter what you did as the wheel tyre combo made the chain rub on the tyre wall plus it’s advertised 100miles no chance I did a fair test and 49 miles if your on low assist and level ground and light weight horse jockey build and that’s with the 17 ah battery upgrade all the complaining got me no where and emails started to sour both ends they even fobbed me off and said yamee will fix the issue turns out yamee are the subsidiary brand and rattan don’t now sell the xl indegogo they was equally unhelpful I’ll review them soon and explain but if I’m honest rattan aka yamee are not as good as the mate x plus mate x bikes offer a complete range of upgrades parts if that’s your thing rear suspension being one there 28 mph is not accurate more like 24 mph the computer settings are not informative and you have to scroll through you tube to get to know it a little the suspension is clunky and the battery rattles in the slot now the battery if you need a spare there £800 as there a special battery my advice is measure it’s a pretty standard connection and the same as a mate x which are half the price there’s now a Uk rep called Darren based up north but during the 9 months of emails ignorance and poor service I had no body and still no tyres do not buy ever on a debit card at the time I couldn’t use a credit after 6 months yamee started using PayPal etc a credit card they help with issues like this and in yamee use PayPal options they are a good bike if you address the issues mentioned but the bikes gears cannot work not matter what
