Camera arrived exactly as described and sales person made efforts to ensure I was able to track its arrival. He also moved swiftly to ensure I got it in good time.

Having recently lost a buckle on my binoculars strap I spent several painful minutes scouring websites inc. using prompts in Co-Pilot and faced futility or extra cost at every turn. The outcome was always a new strap and then the uncertainty of whether it would be compatible or not. Enter York Camera Mart who quickly recognised the issue and offered two ways to solve - a brand new strap that they offered to fit there and then at a comparable price to those options offered online with the added bonus of instant availability and no delivery costs or a free replacement buckle. One of the guys disappeared off while I was talking to the other one and emerged triumphantly with a replacement buckle cannibalised from the store room. The price - that was the best bit - free and fitted there and then. Really does show why sometimes the best solution is local.

The website would not allow me to pay. Contacted the staff and the situation rectified in no time. Varna arrived in a couple of days due to it being a weekend. Camera is awesome and replaces my Nikon P950. Great staff and great experience..

Went in (very sheepishly) to get my sensor cleaned as the 2nd hand eBay camera I've been using wasn't in the best shape. The assistant couldn't have been more helpful and told me he'd have it done the same day and reassured me it was salvageable. Even offered to drop it off at my work place down the road. Upon collecting the camera and leaving the shop I noticed a tiny spec on the image finder and he was kind enough to remove this too. Would definitely use these chaps again based on this experience alone. Top notch (Not to mention he was even kind enough to give the body a shine up included in the cost!)

I enquired in store about a pair of binoculars as a gift for my son. The assistant was very helpful and explained what I needed to know. I placed an order on line which arrived promptly and well packed. All in all, the service and products are excellent.

Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. I went into the shop and they took the time to talk to me and work out what I actually needed rather than what I thought I wanted, which made it far less expensive for me. I then went away and ordered it through their online shop to save me trying to carry my purchases home. The online process was very efficient and speedy. Live hundreds of miles away but will be using them again for any future purchases.

I have been looking for a used G9 camera on various website's and then came across York cameras. Spotted what I been looking for and ordered it. Placed the order on a Saturday and it was delivered Sat evening by a member of staff who just so happens to live in the area.Really pleased with the service. Great customer service, purchased a new bridge camera and a telephoto lens for another camera. Staff explained fully on how to use, even let us try them for weight, handling, balance etc. Couldn't fault service. Nice to see shop with actual goods, so you can get a feel of the products instead of buying on line.
