Very insightful talk, honing in on specific concerns I had about entering the industry as a new UX/UI designer

One of the best talks I've had the pleasure to listen to and learn from. Michael has a very unique and engaging way of delivering his speech, and the content was super informative and helpful!

Michael provided a wonderfully engaging guest lecture for my class! He spoke through all of the worries I have about beginning my UX career and provided some incredible insight on the industry and how to set yourself up for success.

Michael gave a guest lecture for BrainStation's UX cohort today. Mindblowing may be an understatement. Not only is he an engaging and inspiring teacher, but he cuts out the fat, lasering in on core issues that will make or break our careers. What we learned from him in an hour is easily the most impactful UX training I have had. Michael doesn't hold back —he delivers tough love that we all need to hear so that we don't become complacent in our craft (and fall behind).

I plan to take future classes with Michael, as well as read his book! Highly reccommend

Michael’s talk was such a breath of fresh air and actually left me feeling motivated, excited and impassioned about what I do! His way of speaking is very direct, clear and concise and his honesty about his own experiences gives you a great lay of the land, especially if you’re just starting out. I left the talk with a list of actionable items I wanted to achieve next - I cannot recommend Michael enough!

Michael is made for public speaking. His talk on Breaking into UX/UI Design was compelling, inspiring, empowering and more. He broke his talk into three digestible chapters, sharing his own experiences and what he has learned from them. His advice was efficient, accessible and achievable, and ultimately made me feel ready and excited to get designing immediately! The kind of talk you want to put on in the background whenever you need motivation to get work done. Really looking forward to attending more of his talks and workshops in the future.

I have also benefitted from Michael's direct mentorship in regards to my freelance UX/UI role. Michael helped me more than double my day rate, taught me the ins and outs of working freelance, and ultimately gave me the confidence to make the jump. I can't recommend Michael enough to anyone who works in design.

youandi.london's digital design course was just amazing. Michael imparted so much information in so little time that i now have a clear road map on the ui and ux exercises, the do's and don'ts and how to structure my portfolio. It might be the best workshop I've ever been too! I cant wait to get started. I learnt so much, Thanks again, Michael.

I went to Michael last year as I was in desperate need of help with my UI skills. In our 2 hour session together he took the time to go through my work and explain in detail how to improve it, and what sort of things I need to consider when designing good UI.

Post-course he sent me resources to help build on the skills in my own time and since then my UI has gotten so much better.

In addition to the skills I've built over the last few months, I've now much more confidence in explaining and defending my design choices when working with teams or clients.

Would definitely recommend Michael's classes!

Great workshop! Inspiring session and I really understand what I need to kickoff my career in UX / UI.

Michael was fantastic in explaining the frame work of UI and UX design. As a designer myself Micheal broke down the core specifics in how to go about transitioning into a UI/UX designer. The workshop is broken into steps and is very insightful. I would highly recommend anyone who is thinking about moving into the digital industry.

Michael offered tons of practical advice about how to start practising and building the skills you'll need for the industry and dispelled a lot of myths about how to actually break into it. I've already signed up for the next one with Shaun. I left feeling inspired and confident that I could do this!

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!

I am a print designer of 20+ years and have felt recently I need to change my horizon. Have always been worried that at 42 it may be to late for me to get into the 'modern world' of all things UI/UX. Boy was I wrong!!!

Michael is an inspirational figure who explains everything with passion and destroys the myths that are attached to the industry,

I cannot recommend him enough....now it's down to me to implement what I learned and change my life forever!

PS. Bush Hill Park isn't the same without you sir :D

Absolutely amazing and inspirational. Currently I am in the print design field but no for any longer! Michael has given the best advice and guidance for myself to become of his standard. It’s time to put in the hours now. Many thanks Michael once again.

Very insightful and hands on workshop. Went through slides with information on UX processes/ideation. The session was also very interactive with opportunity to work in groups and implement processes presented in the slides based on a real world scenario! Looking forward to the next session!
