Ordered a deck and still hadn't been shipped 3 weeks later. After several emails, I received a reply (from a generic info@ address) from an unnamed person at the company saying the deck was unavailable. I asked if I could exchange. Received no reply. Another 3 weeks later, I asked for a refund. No reply. After several more attempts at contacting YOW, 6 weeks passed and I had to raise a dispute with my bank. 10 weeks have now passdd and I still haven't been refunded. They have my money, I have no product.

For the price of the skateboards I was expecting the designs to be screen printed and good quality. Even tho they are cool, they are badly printed on the board. Kinda disappointed

The product is great but you need to be very careful when ordering from the main company website for UK customers.
I, and I'm guessing many others, did not take enough notice of the potential shipping costs small print. The price you see on the website does not include UK import tax. My parcel was therefore held by UPS at customs until I paid the considerable additional charge.
I haven't had the same experience with any other online purchase so wasn't expecting it. Very disappointing.

Still waiting for my board, it was due last week.

1. The website doesn't explicitly warn you about import fees because they know it scares away potential buyers. There's small text saying, "Customs Fees not included," which is vague and doesn't convey the necessity of paying a 20% VAT before delivery.

2. They could calculate tax based on the price tag of your board, but they don't do it, seems to be a deliberate effort to mislead.

Awfully unpleasant experience. It's a terrible brand, and I would never recommend it.

The whole process was painful and full of undisclosed costs.
I bought skateboard for £215, they advertised the price in € 'subject to import duties' but failed to mention that they had reduced the advertised price by 21% to remove EU VAT and not accounted for 20% of UK VAT - which made the board look to be advertised a little cheaper than elsewhere (as you might expect purchasing direct from a supplier) but when you add up all of the tariffs and charges you later get stung with it turned out to be a bad deal.
Once the order was made the shipment was put through DHL with a €15 charge for delivery.
Only after the goods have entered the UK did I get a notice that i had to pay "import charges". Now there are no import charges on a skateboard, they were referring to VAT (which they knew about when I placed the order).
They served a value notice for the board which was higher that its actual value so they inflated the VAT I had to pay (I should have paid £42 VAT and they charged me approx. £49). They also charged €11.50 in 'brokerage' fees for the privilege.
I couldn't return the goods as they had already entered the UK and the import duty had been incurred.
A £215 board ended up costing approx. £275 once all was said and done, and I couldn't even choose to give it back once the costs were known!
At checkout they know how much VAT is due because they know what the value of the goods are, and VAT is 20%. They know what their import brokerage fees are too, but they refuse to tell you and stick you with a bill when it's too late to refuse.
Would not use again.

If other importers know their costs at checkout, this company can too.
