Yuruma Journeys is a community-based ecotourism initiative managed by families from the Indigenous community of San José de Uchupiamonas, in the Bolivian Amazon. Situated on the shores of Lake Santa Rosa—the largest lake in Madidi National Park—Yuruma was established as a sustainable alternative that combines responsible tourism and local job creation with the protection of the region’s extraordinary natural and cultural heritage. We offer authentic nature-based experiences in some of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet, including jungle excursions, wildlife observation, interpretive hikes, canoe trips, and cultural experiences connected to local communities. In addition to our offerings in Madidi, we also operate programs in the Yacuma Pampas, allowing travelers to discover a wide diversity of landscapes and iconic species of the Bolivian Amazon.
