Before you download the ZY Vega app, it is important to be aware of the following.
I have read the terms of use and the privacy policy. For a simple lighting control app, it collects a surprising amount of data: your location, IMEI number, list of installed apps, IP address, and access to the camera and microphone.
All data is stored on Chinese servers (Alibaba/Aliyun) and shared with third parties, including Baidu and WeChat. As a European user, the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) does not apply here. All disputes are subject to Chinese law.
If you still need the app, limit the permissions as much as possible, do not use third-party login methods, and consider installing the app on a second phone rather than your main one.
The hardware is great, but do approach it with your eyes wide open.

The Zhiyun Molus X100 has good light…

The Zhiyun Molus X100 has good light quality and build overall, but the battery life is extremely short. Even at 50% (50watts), with full battery charged, the battery drains very fast — only around 15 minutes of use. Replacement batteries are also quite expensive, which makes it hard to justify the cost.
Nice concept, but definitely not worth it if you plan to use it on battery power.

Ecological Nightmare!

I recently bought a zhiyan smooth 3, as an entry level gimbal. It was released in May, 2021, so only 4 years old. When I attempted to use the gimbal, I found that it can only be used with an app (my phone paired via blue tooth), but the smooth 3 is no longer supported by any Zhiyan app, making my gimbal an expensive piece of perfectly working junk. This is SO bad for our already fragile world - a shocking waste of resources just so they can make more money with the latest 'thing'. Makes my blood boil - I won't buy from them again.

Give up your privacy to use their soso products

The company is terrible, but it’s hard to find words for the quality of their software you will have to use for their products, ZY Play for gimbals. They want you to allow location services, send device information and when this in itself is not horrible enough to agree on the conditions I will copy below. Stay away from this company:

Content Criterion
Users are not all zhiyun-tech.com owed to publish information that:

(1)Opposes the cardinal principles specified in the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China;
(2)Harms the security and territorial integrity of the state; Leaks state secrets;
(3)Damages national honor and interests;
(4)Promotes terrorism and extremism;
(5)Incites hatred or discrimination among nationalities, harms the unity of the nationalities, infringes on national customs and habits; 
(6)Incites regional discrimination and hatred;
(7)Destroys the state's religious policy, promotes cults, and superstitions;
(8)Fabricates and spreads rumors and false information, disturbs social order, and undermines social stability;
(9)Disseminates or spreads obscenity, pornography, gambling, violence, murder, terror, or abets crime;
(10) Disseminates unconfirmed fights, rallies, marches, protests, petitions by uniformed personnel;
(11)Endangers network security, uses the network to endanger national security, honor, and interests;
(12) Carries out violence, intimidation and threats against others, and human flesh searches;
(13) Disseminates foul language and damages social public order and good customs;
(14) Infringes individual or organization’s legitimate rights and interests such as patent rights, copyrights, trademark rights, name rights, title rights, honor rights, reputation rights, portrait rights and privacy rights;
(15) Disseminates commercial advertisements or similar commercial solicitation information, over-marketing information, and spam posts;
(16)Deliberately comment in languages that are not commonly used in this website;
(17)Deliberately uses character combinations to avoid technical audits;
(18) Impacts the physical and mental health of minors or infringes on their legitimate rights and interests (people under the age of 18);
(19)Contains horror, violence, bloodshed, and high-risk activities, which are harmful to the physical and mental health of the performers or others. This includes content including but limited to:

(1)Any acts of violence and/or self-mutilation;
(2)Performance with dangerous instruments such as knives that may cause injury or death and endanger the personal and/or property rights of oneself or others;
(3)Encouraging and inducing others to participate in dangerous or illegal activities that may cause personal injury or death.
(20)Other information that violates laws, regulations, policies, public order and good practices, interferes with Lightollector's normal operation or infringes on the legitimate rights and interests of other users or third parties.
2. Account Management
(1)Your behavior and published content should comply with Content Criterion, and you must not publish the forbidden content listed above. Otherwise, the Lightollector Team has the right to interrupt or terminate the provision of Lightollector services (including paid services and free service) without any responsibility to the user or any third party, and you will be responsible for any losses caused. In addition, if your behavior violates this guideline, the third-party account that you have bound may be unbound, and the Lightollector Team will not bear any responsibility to the user or any third party.

2. Lightollector has the right to delete content that violates the above principles, and will appropriately punish the account according to the degree of violations and the number of violations, which may include deleting content, disabling features, deactivating accounts, etc.
3. In case of special circumstances (including but not limited to the stability of the server, the existence of malicious network attacks, and other situations beyond the control of the Lightollector Team) or the request of relevant government authorities, Lightollector reserves the right to suspend or cancel your account directly.

3. Others
(1)This guideline is an addition to Lightollector’s Terms of Use and has the same legal effect as Lightorllector’s Term of Use.

PeuBon vendeur.

Peut-être que quelqu'un a eu des problèmes. Mais tout va bien pour moi, j'ai commandé un stabilisateur pour la caméra. Premièrement, avec une première réduction, et deuxièmement, après la commande, le stabilisateur est arrivé le 3ème jour ! C'est en Europe. Le package est complet, tout fonctionne très bien. Bon vendeur.

This company may lack in communication but are a good company!

I read some of these negative reviews but gave them a shot anyway. Ordered two FIVERAY M40 lights from them. Got the receipt saying "2-3 days to process" and "4-7 days to ship"... I did not receive any updates after 3 days and couldn't get an update via email. On the 4th day I set out to cancel the order but before I could, the US Postal Service shows up at my door with both of the lights... which are awesome... well packaged, high end lights. I'll definitely order from them again.

Prodotti scadenti di bassa qualità e progettati male !! Ho acquistato un Crane 4 ..ho buttato via soldi funziona male la gimbal peggiore che si trova in commercio... Assistenza pessima come i loro prodotti... "Azienda" da evitare..... SCONSIGLIATI... Meglio DJI prodotti professionali e funzionanti

Do not order anything from here

I’ve ordered some products to be delivered in 3-7 days but didn’t hear back for 21 days. They didn’t deliver any tracking info nor responded to my emails/questions. Thanks to PayPal, I requested a refund and got my money back.

Did Camera Test, not one product passed.

Did Camera test recently, all their products sucked. This isn't about customer service, or delays in orders, it's about the fraudulent quality of their products. If it's not missing parts, it's the overbearing added weight of the crane 3, or their god-awful transmitters or receivers. I got these products for free, and now I know why. It's offending me they exist and will never purchase products from Zhiyun or their country of origin for that matter.

Bad service

Waiting for delivery over 1 month, after 1 month they told me to wait another month or ask for refund, i ask for refund it was quick, but customer service is terrible.

I Bought a Crane 3s smartsling kit when…

I Bought a Crane 3s smartsling kit when I got the kit was missing half the parts . I contacted their customer service and told me to send them picture of the invoice which I did and they had nerve to tell my I bought gimbal kit from a unauthorized dealer and refused to send me the missing parts or replace the whole kits . I will never ever buy another Zhiyun gimbals ever against.

Zhiyun Smooth X mobile gimbal...

I bought the Zhiyun Smooth X mobile phone camera gimbal from new which was an authentic genuine product from an authorised eBay store.
When I received this product it was okay and has included an app called XY by for it to work.
With only a few uses the Smooth X gimbals swivel mechanism completely snapped! The gimbal is now useless!
I contacted Zhiyun about the failure when opening and closing the Smooth X gimbal and was told to send it back to the manufacturer because it was still in its manufactures warranty.
I have been given a postal address in Walstraat, Germany, which I am to send the gimbal back to await a final response
I have now sent the gimbal back to Germany twice and covering the costs associated of the postage and packaging the medium size parcel from London in the UK.
It seems to be a problem with the address and is not able to receive the parcel or sign for the parcel at the address given to be by the Zhiyun tech support.

Zhiyun are terrible and offer a terrible customer service.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Avoid! This company took a preorder and after a month of waiting and chasing they told me the item would be shipped in 2 days. A week later they said the product is out of stock!??They then told me to take my money back and order it on Amazon instead for a quicker service, but for that privilege they said I have to pay more for the product because it’s no longer a pre order!

Sells on UK web site not UK

Sells on UK web site; says ships from UK warehouse but won’t give VAT invoice as “does not include VAT”.
So either the item doesn’t ship from UK or they are not VAT compliant.
Awful way to do business “official store”. Avoid unless you want to get hit by import and VAT fees on top.
