Fantastic experience with Zimbl. The car was delivered clean and ready to go, the range was excellent, and the whole hire process was effortless from start to finish. Collection afterwards was just as smooth. Great company to deal with and I’ll definitely use them again.

The app was very easy to setup and use, and service swift and fantastic value. I was able to hire an MG4 SE at very short notice, and it was both perfect for my needs and a lot of fun to drive (they also have a good set of options for other types of vehicle hire - my partner rented an electric van from them recently too).

The car was dropped off and picked up from my door, and the assistance and communication from Zimbl in guiding me through using the car was amazing, personable, and one of the best aspects of the experience.

I love what they're doing with regards to more eco friendly hire options using a part/fully electric fleet, and again, would thoroughly recommend them and use their services again. I'm hoping to see their operation expand nationally so I can use their services more further afield if needed in the future.

Wir haben Carsharing von Zimbl in den letzten 3 Tagen mehrmals verwendet und sind äußerst zufrieden. Wir hatten eine Unterkunft in Barford St. Michael und konnten kein Taxi für die Strecke von Banbury zum Ort finden. Glücklicherweise sind wir auf Zimbl aufmerksam geworden. Es funktioniert genauso wie man es von Miles oder Bolt in Deutschland kennt.

Wir sind einen sehr gepflegten elektrischen Nissan Leaf gefahren. Man muss wissen, dass die Handbremse nicht in der Mittelkonsole, sondern im Fußraum links hinten neben der Bremse ist.

Auch mit deutschem Führerschein darf man diesen Service nutzen, allerdings werdet ihr von Zimbl kontaktiert und müsst ein paar Fragen für die Versicherung beantworten.

Die App funktioniert einwandfrei. Allerdings ist außerhalb von Banbury der Internetempfang manchmal sehr schwach, sodass man aufpassen muss, wo man sein Auto abstellt, weil man es ansonsten nicht öffnen kann, wenn keine Internetverbindung besteht.

Ebenfalls hat mir gut gefallen, dass man während der Fahrt auch die Miete verlängern kann. Als Bezahlungsmittel kann man eine normale Debitkarte hinterlegen, d.h. man benötigt keine Kreditkarte wie man es von Autovermietungen kennt.

Vielen Dank auch an Richard, der bei Rückfragen sehr schnell über WhatsApp geantwortet hat.

Polite communications, easy sign up, questions answered quickly. Absolute must for anyone wanting hourly rental! Will definitely be using again very soon 👍🏻

Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish! Second time using Zimbl to move house - this time with a much bigger van! Everything was explained perfectly and nothing is ever too much trouble for Richard and the team… even when someone manages to accidentally end the hire in the middle of the booking! I am really impressed with this service. The car was delivered on time with a good briefing on how to use the vehicle as never used an EV before. Very easy to drive and an enjoyable experience.

One thing with the EV is there is no messing around refilling the vehicle once you have finished with the booking. Just hand it back.

The app is super easy with the key on the app. Just click to lock etc.

I found myself in a car emergency and Richard's efficiency, care and commitment to my booking was far above and beyond anything I could have imagined. I have always found the nature of hiring cars unfriendly, over priced and full of admin hassle. Once Richard showed me how to charge and use the car - I absolutely loved it. It was so easy. The MGs are really comfortable, the App is extremely user-friendly and Richard very kindly took my calls with a really caring and kind manner and there was nothing he couldn't do or help me with. I honestly have been blown away by this service - everything from start to finish was fantastic, reassuring and just really polite, kind and helpful. I am now a convert and regularly booking the car for work and pleasure. Thank you for helping me when I was knee deep in car stress - you came to the rescue and completely turned around my EV way of thinking. Super grateful.

I have just had my first van hire experience with ZIMBL today and I couldn't have been happier with it!
From start to finish the it couldn't have been simpler.
I downloaded the app and registered my licence a few days before as I was expecting it to take a while but it was a very smooth and easy process.
I had called Richard before as I had a few questions to ask about how the process worked as I thought there had to be a 'catch' as there usually is with hire companies. He was very helpful and answered my many questions!
It really is so easy, ZIMBL bring it to your door (or wherever you want), they go through the details with you then you use the app to say that you are happy with the condition and you are ready to start the hire... you start the hire through the app.
The van is very clean and tidy, good size for moving a double divan bed and base with absolutely no issues, it's simple to drive too with it being electric and automatic.
There is no large deposit to pay or hidden costs it is literally £8 an hour then can be hired out in 15 min intervals and you pay the 30p per kwh after the first 5 so in my case my hire was 2hrs + 1kwh for £16.30 total price, fantastic!
When I was done with the hire all I had to do was put the key back in the van, go to the app to lock it up and finish the hire, ZIMBL then collects it... simple as that! 👍
I really wouldn't hesitate to use ZIMBL again and now I'm registered all I need to do is just book it! Thank you ZIMBL😊

Amazing service! I bought a mattress from a local shop and they tried to charge me £25 for the delivery. I met Richard who rents this electric vehicles by hours and I could collect my new mattress and dispose my old one into the recycling center. I paid only £16 to drive a brand new van for a couple of hours. I will use this service in the future. Thank you!

This was my first car hire by the hour, on an App. I do not have a car at the moment, so I thought I'd give Zimbl a try.
Richard was super helpful & explained everything when he delivered the car. I found all aspects easier than expected, the App is intuitive and easy to use. The option of extending the booking in 15 minute increments was great, as I ended up using it twice. Overall, an amazing service. Highly recommend!

This is a great service, had my first hire the other day, booked the car the day before, Richard dropped it off & talked me through it as I’d never driven an EV before, the car was great, affordable, communication excellent and app easy to use, will definitely be hiring again.

I needed a car at very short notice today and decided to try Zimbl. I am so impressed with this service. It took a few minutes to make the booking in the app, the car was delivered l, I had a demonstration from Richard on where everything was on the car and off I went. When I had finished using the car I left it at the place (chosen by me at booking) locked it and completed my hire using the app. So easy, I am absolutely delighted with every aspect of this. It made what could have been an extremely long and stressful day so easy. Thanks Zimbl

I recently got rid of my car as we had 4 cars on the drive. Mine wasn’t used often. I thought I’d try ZIMBL out to see how efficient and reliable they are. I wasn’t disappointed, car delivered before the time I needed with time to go through the details and check the car over. You take over the vehicle via your phone so can add more time and finish your time at your convenience. It’s a great service that I will use when needed and works out so much cheaper than having my own car. So pleased it’s a local service. Highly recommend.

Signing up was straightforward and from there booking was easy. Booking is by the hour so is great for us as we've downsized to 1 car. Delivered and collected to/from our home with a comprehensive tour of how everything works. The car is fully electric and thus automatic but is very easy to drive. By being able to hire by the hour it means I was able to only hire for the period I actually needed. Good value for money when you consider the cost of keeping a second vehicle that just sits on the drive. Highly recommended.

I received a great offer from Zimbl for a five day hire for £299.00. I hire cars frequently, rather than owning a car, as I only need vehicles when travelling outside of my local area and I usually hire from the more well known hire companies.
I had a guest from outside of the UK and I planned to take them around a few areas of the interesting areas around Oxfordshire and Warwickshire. On the face of it, the bigger companies seem to offer good value, but by the time you've taken optional extras and insurances into account, they're not such good value for money.
I'm using electric vehicles whenever possible these days and I really like that you can hire from Zimbl by the hour (which I haven't taken advantage of yet) and that they'll take care of the recharging for you at an extremely competitive price! I've hired electric from some of the bigger companies previously and one of the worst issues is having to spend about an hour charging the vehicle before handing it back; not convenient at all! With Zimbl, there are absolutely no extra charges or fees and the customer service has been superb.
The only mild criticism that I have is that the MG5, being an estate, is not the most exciting car to drive, but it's very roomy and easy to handle. I'm looking forward to Zimbl adding additions to their fleet and I'll definitely be hiring from them whenever I need a car in the future.
