It is a scam as others say. Items ship from China and are nothing like pictured which is a shame as the designs are nice. Material is cheapest polyester etc… have had a dreadful experience currently going through credit card charge back for false advertising.

How to get a refund

As others have said it’s an ebook clearly not as advertised however I did get my money refunded once I threatened them with taking it up with my bank and trading standards and I suggest you do the same. They initially said no refunds. I am considering still going to trading standards and urge others to do the same to stop them operating and cheating more customers.

Review specifically for specsavers at Home

Firstly it is important to note that all the specsavers are a franchise and I have had excellent service from both the Trowbridge and Melksham shops. This review relates in particular to the at home service. I warned them that my mother had Alzheimer's and dementia before they visited. I could not be with her when they visited but a carer was with her. They quoted to her frames worth £150 even though she hardly goes out anywhere and with a total cost with lenses of over £300. This was for varifocals even though my mother has not been able to read anything more than the odd sign she sees out for a couple of years due to Alzheimer's. She only uses glasses to watch TV. I questioned this at a spec savers shop and managed to get her glasses and lenses for £50. When I complained there was no apology if anything I was made out to be deficient as I had not told the company at time of booking that we wanted the cheapest option. Considering so many elderly are vulnerable and do not have anyone to question these quotes I think the company has a moral duty to consider cost when seeing the elderly in their homes.
Most are being fleeced as it is from care costs.
If it is written down she has Alzheimer's and your job is to visit elderly in their homes even a rudimentary knowledge of Alzheimer's should make you question whether that person is going to need glasses for reading. Really very angry about this and concerned for others who don't have anyone to look out for them. Exact date not known.

I have had similar experience I cancelled this subscription as soon as I had found a carer literally within days of enrolling but three months later find they are still billing me. Further more the carer we found only turned up once and I have since heard from another carer who knows of her that she has a very bad reputation so I do not believe they reference their carers well at all.

Many failed collections and bad customer service. Used them for years and have liked the…

Used them for years and have liked the fact you can easily contact them unlike some other companies but fed up with them now. I have had a few missed collections the latest said it had not been collected on three occasions so I had to cancel and rebook elsewhere . Meanwhile the place it was being collected from said it had been picked up yet no one knew where it was as the tracking wasn’t showing anything and interparcel said they cannot directly correspond with the courier companies. Not happy as parcel was over £100. It did end up at my house eventually then interparcel tried to get double the cost of postage out of me saying I cancelled yet still used the service which was not the case . They messed up and took no responsibility, further more their customer services girl was extremely rude to me snd told me to calm down when I had hardly raised my voice. Makes me think they get lots of irate customers. Won’t be using them again also noted after they were so much more expensive than booking with parcel force direct .

Do not use this service direct with Evri as if something goes wrong you CANNOT speak to anyone about it. If you insist on using Evri then use Interparcel as at least they have people on the end of a phone and live people via on line chats where you can sort it out. I have spent hours on the phone and via Evri automated bots trying to sort out a collection that was wrongly cancelled and I am literally crying with frustration and the long and the short of it is you cannot get through to them and all the cheats you find out on line so called hacks DO NOT WORK. In the end I went via paypal and they must have a system whereby you are automatically refunded as my refund went straight through. This suggests in itself they get masses of complaints. I suggest you try this with whatever payment method you used. Also be warned as if you google speak to an operator at Evri' a number comes up which you may gleefully call but it is a scam by a company based abroad (surprise surprise) called A2B telecom and they will take £6 for your call. You will go back to the ad in disgust and frustration and yes sure enough under the number in small letters is the disclosure that you will be charged. Its all a scam, all disgusting to offer a service and have no way to follow it up and what is most upsetting is we had a perfectly good open and honest postage system of our own via Royal Mail which we stupidly privatised making it a horrible place for its staff to work such are the new rules and pressures on them dictated by people just wanting to make more profits at the expense of human happiness and job satisfaction. So next time you get upset about the Royal Mail strikes give this some thought. Here endeth the sermon!

Really impressive company

Really impressive company. Quick communication and dispatched my kit very quickly as my daughter needed it for a DOE walk. The first aid kit had her name on the front which was a lovely surprise as we didn’t think we had ordered in time for this service. Wish more companies were like this!

Disgusted

Disgusted. Had delivery slot of 6-8pm we waited in an empty house until 10 at night when we realised they weren’t coming at all. No updates nothing. Furious, dreadful shoddy service.
