Recent activities around my household had encouraged my girlfriend and I to look into home protection. We searched online and although neither of us had heard of 1st security, we read the reviews and decided to give them a call. I'm very pleased we made that decision. 1st security was a breeze to work with and everyone we have spoken with has been very helpful and knowledgable. The DIY system was very easy to install and only took a few hours to do. In order for the contacts to sit flush with one another, I did have to make a few notches into my door frames and decided to place my touch screen on the wall, not on a table top which is the way It comes in the box, meaning I had to install a wire from the touch pad to an electrical outlet I added in my basement for it to plug into. Being an electrician, I perform these tasks on an every day basis making it simple for me to do so. That being said, the average homeowner may not have the same abilities or skill sets I have, making it a little more difficult for them to achieve the wall mounted look of the touch screen shown on the video they have on their website without getting an electrician to come in and fish a wire and add an outlet. That's the only negative thing I have to say about the installation, other than that, the "peel and stick" system they have is great. All in all, working with 1st security was a pleasant experience and would recommend their service to anyone looking for an easy, reliable, good looking security system in their home!!!

The initial estimate over the phone was honest and realistic. Was not pushed into getting anything I didn't need. The field service tech who performed the installation was courteous, professional, efficient and very informative. Follow up service has been great. Great value and an even greater system. I'd recommend 1st Security USA to anyone in a heartbeat.

Time will be the judge as the system was put in a few weeks ago, but so far so good.

So far so good. Is a home security business with great customer service. Their real test will come in the coming months when I need support and after using the monitoring service.
