installed a new gas boiler. Despite numerous calls, they never came back to service the boiler.

Overpriced. Saturday evening before Christmas and panicked after finding a leak on the valve for filling loop in the hot press which caused pressure in boiler to drop and therefore not work. Baby and young child in the house so needed problem fixed ASAP. Knew price would be expensive as it was a Sunday morning job but €305 later after 20 mins work, I feel robbed. The guy didn't even pressurise the system after fitting the new filling loop, only for i called my wife to see if the boiler was back working as I was in work. She had to get him back in to top up the system and bleed some radiators. I would have been able to top up the system myself but was at work for the day, but the job should have been completed and then tested after. Feel like these companies take advantage of people to much in a moment of panic.

I wasn't going to write a review but when I got a message from them later telling me I would get a €15 voucher if I left a good review, that didn't sit right with me so here's an honest review

24 Hour Plumber have provided us with a very rapid, courteous and efficient service on a number of occasions. Most recently, Pamela arranged for Thomas to call to our home within an hour to deal with a problem with our downstairs bathroom. Thomas resolved the issue quickly and effectively. I will continue to call on 24 Hour Plumber for any plumbing problems.

Avoid at all costs. €440 to replace 2 radiators ( supplied all the parts myself) . 50 minutes of labour. Refused to provide a receipt of a breakdown of price. Scandalous pricing ripping people off ! Disingenuous. Avoid!

I rang Pamela on Sunday evening with water stains on my ceiling from my hot press & Darren arrived at 10.30pm, Darren did an amazing job and Pamela was so kind & helpful I would highly recommend as they are professional, helpful and timely, thank you Georgina

I rang 24 Hour Plumbing and spoke with Pamela about getting a new toilet and sink plumbed in where the old ones had been removed. She was fantastic – straight away she offered me an appointment for 7:30am the very next morning. Sure enough, Thomas arrived right on time.

He was excellent from start to finish, explaining clearly what he was doing and checking in with me throughout. When he discovered the toilet pipe was at floor level and needed to cut into the plaster, he explained exactly what he planned to do and made sure I was happy with it before continuing.

Thomas was extremely professional, sound, and respectful. He worked neatly, tidied up all the packaging, and even swept up afterwards – leaving everything spotless.

I’m extremely happy with the service. The efficiency, professionalism, and the way Thomas checked in with me as the customer really stood out. Highly recommend 24 Hour Plumbing – thank you!

I contacted this company in November 2024.
First through the form, then by phone. I specified multiple times that the pressure in my boiler was dropping, so there was a leak in the apartment I moved in a week earlier. I phoned multiple times and sent pictures. I should have brought my money somewhere else. That was the first key to understand that something was wrong. They sent me the plumber Jarlath Nolan around a week later. I was charged for a service and at the time I did not know what it was for, but it did not solve my issue. Means that I pay over 200 euro, but issue is still there.
After paying I receive a message where it is stated that I will get a 15-euro one4all voucher if I leave a good review. This is a horrible news itself I would never consider someone that gives money over good reviews.
Jarlath under pressure shows up again in December 2024 and finds the issue, but he needs to come back to fix it. Also in this circumstance, he borrows a usb plugger and a usb c cable that I thought I could get back next time.
A couple of weeks later that I spend chasing him, he finally comes back and fix the leak. The boiler pressure is still going down slowly but one of my colleagues suggested to let it go.
I pay again but this time for the actual fix. I don't get the stuff that he has borrowed back.
Six months later begging to get my stuff as I needed them, he brings the plugger to my place but not my 100w cable bought in Italy for my tablet.
I could not find another one here in the shops and I was suggested to buy that online.
I will never ever call them again and I can see multiple reasons not to do that.

Had a leak from my hot tank into my living room a day before going away for a long weekend. Called 24 hour plumbers, Ryan got the problem sorted ASAP and explained to me what went wrong and how to fix it. Very neat and tidy and competitively priced!!!

We had a sink with a semi-pedestal that broke, and needed it replaced urgently. We tried to do it ourselves but unfortunately the new sink did not fit on the treaded rods of the previous sink, as they were too long. There was also a tile behind the treaded rods that had a crack but was otherwise ok.

We called 24 Hour Plumber, and Gavin came out to the apartment. He was gruff, asked us several times for tools that he should have had with him, and proceeded to a) cut the treaded rods too short resulting in the new sink not fitting, b) removed the tile without our consent and refused to replace it, and c) left the place an absolute mess with silicone everywhere.

After he left, we tried to contact the company but they did not answer. As we were now left with a mess for a bathroom and needed the sink, we called another company, that had to install an entirely new bracket in order for the semi-pedestal under the sink to fit, at great cost (5 times the price).

We then contacted 24 Hour Plumber again to explain what had happened and to ask for a refund for not only not doing the job they were called out to do, but causing damage by cutting the rods too short and removing the tile. We should have asked for compensation for what we had to pay extra but didn't, we simply asked for the fee they had charged us.

A very rude receptionist kept telling me "he did a good job so there's no reason for a refund but I'll have someone contact you tomorrow".

Tomorrow came and went, I called back and was met with a dismissive tone but yet again told "tomorrow."

After this was repeated 4 times, I was understandably frustrated and asked why the "boss's wife", as the receptionist put it, wouldn't respect my time and simply give me a call back, as was promised several times. I was told to "shut up" and "what the hell do you want me to do".

I then finally get a call at 20:00 on Saturday (the next day), where the "boss's wife" tells me that she stands by her staff, that they did a good job, and told me to stop calling otherwise she would call the Gardai.

I am at a loss for words. I have never, ever been treated with such blatant disrespect and wanton disregard for a clear mess up, with photos and all.

Never use them. The plumbers we used to fix their damage were polite and professional - these people will never stand by their work and always look for the cheap way out.

Great service from Gavin. Helped with a blocked drain. He was on time and knew what he was doing. Good to deal with.

Arrived at my 92yr old nan's house to tell her the boiler was obsolete and not fixable - which is fine. Proceeded to then stay 4.1hrs(yes, 4.1), and hand her a bill for €900 including over €400 for 'labour'(despite him saying it was obsolete and couldn't be fixed)

Had a burst pipe late at night. Darren arrived within the hour and sorted it fast. Fair price too. Wouldn't think twice about calling them again.

They were prompt, professional, and fixed the issue quickly. The plumber was knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, and ensured quality work.

Angel and his colleague were very friendly, arrived right on time and worked efficiently and very cleanly. They also took the time to explain to me the two different issues that were happening with the radiators in my living room. Great experience.

The problem with services like this one is that the prices have gone up and the quality has gone down.

They did two thirds of the work well and the other third needs to be redone.

Expect no after sale service .
If they don't do a job well you will likely end up having to pay someone to redo it.
They ignored the message I sent a couple of days after the job was done, even though there was a read receipt showing they opened it.

Before you leave the good review that they send a message asking for, make sure you check all the work out completely for a while before leaving that review.
They offer a €15 voucher if you leave a good review, which tempts you to prematurely leave a great review before you have properly tested the work they did.
I never received this voucher despite leaving the good review.

I called them again yesterday to ask them to redo the job that wasn't done effectively and to make sure the materials they are using are tried and tested by them so the problem doesn't happen again. I fully expected to have to pay the complete amount as if it is a new job
What I didn't expect was for them to be so argumentative and defensive. They even accuse me and the other people who use my bathroom bathroom of damaging it and told me that if I had called them on the day the work was done then they would have redone it .
I decided to use a different service instead, mostly because of the attitude of 24 hour plumbers.

I think, the best chance of not wasting your money and time is to check all the recent reviews of potential services you could use to reduce the risk of being disappointed and frustrated instead of relieved that your plumbing problem is fixed despite it being expensive.
I think, good services can turn bad and visa versa, so be careful and research before hiring.

Sorry to say how very disappointed we were with this plumbing service. They installed a water pump in our small counselling practice in Dublin which never worked properly (or at all, often leaving us with no water and/or constant noise). It went from bad to worse with poor/no communication and an apparent refusal to follow up or take any responsibility for fixing the problem. We had to resort to finding a completely different plumber after more than a year of hassle, who had to replace the pump and associated equipment costing another/extra €3k! Please be very careful when dealing with this service.
