Constant emails

Constant emails, I don't mind being notified of sales or promotions, but the constant emails after you view something on this site is ridiculous. Asking you to come back, better buy soon, only so many left, and for the most part the items are out of stock, not any in your size, or a color you want anyway. If you try and explain this you're immediatly removed from their list, you get a nice email telling you this. If you try and explain you didn't want removed you immediatly get confirmation of your removal. The text list really should be avoided, if you email the company email provided it can't be viewed, or there is a problem, then you start getting emails from their privacy team, telling you that you may unsubscribe. Customer service seems nonexistent, then you get a list telling you your rights about your data, opting out, correcting, or deleting, you when you change, opt out, or request deletions, you are informed that your state has no laws governing this, and the matter is closed, if you think this is in error you can call a member of their privacy team. Well, you can try I suppose, good luck, it seems that this company cares little about your particular tastes, or privacy, and is only intrested in making a sale, doesn't care how, and while I do very much like some of their products, others make the same things, or very close and I'll shop elsewhere

I bought my Brother in Law

I bought my Brother in Law, Nephew and myself duty belts for Christmas last year. And although I have not heard them speak on theirs I am extremely pleased with all aspects of mine. Keep up the great work I can hardly wait to try some of your other products. LoVe Always, Brother Bruce Dunkin

Customer service is not good

Customer service is not good. They sent me order colored item, and refuse to ship out new order until they have a return. This is why I go with first tactical instead of these guys. Good products but company is going down hill.

I have 4 tactical SOMS roller bags

I have 4 tactical SOMS roller bags. 2 iof the 4 the bumpers on the corners have fallen off from light traffic work. One of the roller wheels failed.
Quality seems to be going downhill unfortunately.
And they don’t offer spare parts.
I Expected better for the price.

I love the 511 Stryke pants and have…

I love the 511 Stryke pants and have ordered multiple different times. Besides the fact that women's pants now have left handed zippers, they are durable and have sewn in front pocket liners. I LOVE this! However, 3 out of 5 orders placed with this company have come in wrong - wrong color or wrong style. They will correct the problem but you need to pay close attention.

Refuse to un-reserve the amount paid for items not in stock.

European branch sells items that are out of stock and backorders them indefinitely. They just keep refusing that they have reserved the amount from my credit card. However, amount is still reserved after so many days. I cannot do nothing but wait for the amount to be released automatically after 40 days. Dreadful customer service experience. Too bad that their products are quite good, especially the discontinued items (the older the design the better).

I have been wearing 5.11's for many…

I have been wearing 5.11's for many years. Even continued to wear them after I left law enforcement. This last order was very disappointing though. The pants now have left handed zippers. I called customer service and was told that all women's pants going forward are switching to the left handed zipper. This makes absolutely no sense to me. Left handed zippers were created back when women were dressed by servants, and I think it's safe to say that women dress themselves nowadays, so why 5.11 decided to go back in time and change their zippers is beyond me.

Our agency ordered several 100 polos to…

Our agency ordered several 100 polos to decorate in there facility. We usually use a local embellisher, but decided to give them a try, since we were ordering direct from them. It took over two months to receive our order. We were quoted 3 - 4 weeks. Their customer service had no clue when the order would be processed. When contacted the gal sounded lost and confused on when our order would ship. She estimated another week, but in reality it took 3 more weeks to ship. Use a local embellisher if you can. Just because they are a big company doesn’t mean they are better. Plus the quality of the embroidery was substandard.

Overpriced junk, terrible service

Item showed processing for over a week. I called to cancel the order with an order rep and apparently that has to be sent to corporate...lol. what a joke. Perhaps it needs to be cleared with the CEO after that. I didn't have time to wait for another 20 mins with crappy elevator music so I opted to email for cancelation. Another full day later I'm getting emails that it shipped, but when you actually click the tracking only a label has been created. Also, there's a 5.11 store in my city of Antioch CA and those guys seem to be too good for customer service. Perhaps I'm too brown.

Wrong Items Shipped Multiple Times

I ordered two EDC flashlights and some other items. Twice they messed up the order, and made it a hassle to try to fix it (I shouldn't have to re-order the same things 3 times). I had to return the wrong items by going to a UPS store right before Christmas, which I don't really have time for. This was the third attempt, first order was never sent, second order had the wrong product, this time it was correct. It was shipped fast however, barely in time for Christmas, though I had to wait for it before leaving the house for Christmas celebrations. 511 Tactical seems to be having personnel or system issues, and further their customer service doesn't take ownership of the customer experience. Whenever I even think of ordering, it gives me a sick feeling and I find another source. I understand mistakes are made, but many other retailers quickly fix it, make it right, and often give a token to express that. 511 has poor leadership culture, rigid systems and no improvement feedback loop, which means I won't be back any time soon.

5.11 Tactical at Miami, Fla. does not honor return policies

Due to the short time frame, being the holidays so close, I went to a physical store here in Miami, located at:

3887 NW 107TH AVE, Suite 107
Doral, FLA 33178

to exchange a Rush MOAB, backpack, that I bought online, which by my mistake, I chose the wrong color, black instead of sand. The store manager, for starters told me directly and in a very rude way, “my store, my rules, I don’t have to do anything with 5.11 Tactical policies…”
I explained him that all I needed was to exchange same item for a different color, to which he said, in that case he could receive the item, discounting me 25% of what I paid for, and buy the desired color, paying it at full price…
I bought it on Black Friday, paid $79,99
this gentleman was offering me $59,99
and I would have to pay $105,00 for the same item, just to change color…???
I strongly believe 5.11 Tactical should check out this kind of behavior, for it goes in detriment of their image.
I asked manager for his name, his answer was: “why do you care about my name if I don’t care about yours…”
Not much more to be say, I believe you will understand that I kept the item, made a 180 turn and left the store.
Seems it is a common abusive practice of this particular store, for what I had been reading on reviews.

Great products when they decide to ship…

Great products when they decide to ship them. Order showed processing for over one month. When I called customer service said she would send message to warehouse. Item shipped next day but month after originally ordered.
Gave them another try and 1 item showing pending 1 week later. Called customer service and very rude guy told me item was on back order.
Love the gear but from now on I will order from third party. Midway , academy, etc…
5:11 has horrible inventory system and order fulfillment is not good.

Terrible service .. just god awful

While the products are great .. when you get them, the last three orders ended up being cancelled due to no inventory .. why can’t they get it together ? If something isn’t in inventory, why take my payment and then send me an email over a week later saying the items are out of stock? The last one was almost a month before I had to message them to see where my order was only to find out they thought my purchase was a fraud ???? What ??

No apologies

I placed an order. I received an email signed by Patty Downs saying: "I just received notice that your order was cancelled. Unfortunately, we do not have the inventory. "
Not even an apology.
Now I will fight to get my money back, I hope they do not give me a hard time.
What a complete waste of time this company.

Absolutely horrible customer service

Absolutely horrible customer service. Ordered items on 9/26. Expected items to arrive within 7-10 days. Product still hadn't arrived by 10/2, so emailed them and asked for updated status. Reply on 10/3 saying that Items were delayed and status would be updated soon.

Still no update on 10/12, so did virtual chat, was then informed matter-of-factly that the products were backordered and would be cancelled. What an absolute waste of time this entire process has been. I was going to use the items on a trip, but am now out of time.

Do not buy anything from this company. Other reviews like mine confirm that fact that they don't care about their customers. There are other choices out there - buy from them instead.

Customers don’t mattet

I give it a two because the quality of products are great but the customer service and option for speaking on behalf of what people want, sucks.
I’ve been hoping that 511 would come out with the Moab rush 6 in a backpack option because slings are not good for my back. When I called customer service, I was given an email for “customization” only to get a kickback email that said that I didn’t have authorization to contact them. So I called and was told I could get transferred to the department only to be talked to like I was dumb for thinking I could get the Moab rush 6 in a backpack style. Then I called back to try and provide feedback only to be told that it would go no where.

After my time being wasted and being treated like I me or my inquiry didn’t matter, I’ve been left with a bad taste in my mouth which is a shame because my husband and I were big advocates and now I’m completely turned off. I guess I’ll be shopping elsewhere from now on.
