Stay away from these crooks...I to test-drive a discovery sport last Sunday and in Monday paid a £500 deposit.. we agreed I would collect the car yesterday ( Saturday) but on Friday I received an email from them saying that the car had been recalled and my deposit would be refunded... Since then Radio silence... Nothing. Not answering calls,text, email, WhatsApp nothing. I went to the showroom yesterday morning and there was nothing, no cars no people, nothing. Now I have informed the police as these thieving lowlifes have stolen my £500 and god knows how many other people they have done it too...
STAY CLEAR, DO NOT USE THESE THIEVING SCUMBAGS!!!!
This dealer could disappear very soon: they’re late filing their Confirmation Statement to Companies House, removed from AutoTrader & cars “in-stock” volume on their website has reduced from an average of around 80 vehicles to 30. I’m not surprised as reading other reviews from other dissatisfied customers on here and Google, the amount of poor press and possible liability is likely to be mounting.
Without a shadow of a doubt, the WORST COMPANY I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Aftersales is where they stand head and shoulders above anyone for utter incompetence - on numerous occasions, they demonstrated either a deliberate or negligent failure to comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 legislation, making me take them to court.
To cut a very long story short: I discovered a serious fault with the vehicle I purchased from this dealer within 6 months of purchase. 2 independent vehicle inspection reports (from different, qualified assessors) stated the fault would have been there at point of purchase. Dealer has refused to accept liability - very poor to no communication, tries to belittle your knowledge to avoid you taking things further. They’re obligated to advise you of the ADR process in the event of a dispute - despite me asking for this, it was not provided. They offered a derisory “goodwill” gesture as part of the ADR process. So I, like many others I’m sure, have started court proceedings.
In summary - they probably do sell some decent cars, but I would say this is more about luck of the drawer rather than anything to do with the quality of the dealership. If something goes wrong with your vehicle - don’t expect them to act reasonably or in accordance with the law. However, know your rights and follow through - don’t let them try and belittle your knowledge or doubt your claim as it’s either just a tactic to delay/avoid settlement or they just simply don’t know what they’re doing!!!
Don't use this company. Unreliable and the staff are a joke. Sold me a car with so many issues and have taken this with the FCO and to the motor insurance bureau. Still waiting on them. Disgusting service and they don't answer your calls or emails
Bought a Audi A5 tfsi Quattro from Adam Automotive, to be honest I am happy with the spec of the car.. what I’m not happy about is… yes they didn’t pressure me but I felt like I was dealing with 18 year olds with no knowledge at all… car was presentable but not cleaned like you would if hoped, they are quick to take a picture of you and say how wonderful they are and how happy you are on instagram, I contacted they the day after saying the interior lights aren’t working.. response ahh they were working when we did our checks… hmmm I’m smell something… so I said well they aren’t working and clearly weren’t when I took the car away… oh maybe a fuse we will pay up too £100 for diagnostics took it to one place £60 needs further investigation, they told me to take it to Audi at £140 an hour they found the fault at faulty light module nee unit required, £400 plus fitting.. they whisk only pay for £100 diagnostic and the part not fitting. Took me ages to get the money from them which I was so nice as they are the type of people that if you rub them up the wrong way they wouldn’t pay anything.. never got back to me so so so unprofessional I chased all the time and they only called back once.. something a professional company would have taken care of, and they say it’s a good will gesture lol! If I lived closer I would of taken it back and say fix it foc of my money back!! Aftercare customer service does not exist !!! Be warned….check the ca all over before you buy!! Quick in no car quick out. Get your money and that’s you done ! Would never buy again from them. Rant over !!!
Absolutely shocking after sales service. Still trying to resolve issues with the car at point of sale 6 months later. Never respond to emails, never call back have had to chase and chase with very little response.
Extremely poor customer service and the warranty offered is practically worthless and despite several issues being flagged, they have not been covered and I am out of pocket.
Do not use.
Very unprofessional, reserved a car and then they sold it to someone else. After checking their reviews, it looks like they have a history of doing this.
Found the staff to be rude and unprofessional, when I asked why they did this.
If their pre-sale customer care is like this, then can you imagine their post sale care!
I went and bought a car in June 18 from Adams automotive.
The main bloke seemed very polite and helpful but that was until I made the payment.
I specifically asked for the logbook to be send out to dvla as soon as possible because I needed it for travelling abroad which was booked in mid July. They confirmed and said yes and we will place the application for you online for your V5C . Turned out they couldn't so they sent out a V62 application like 2 3 weeks later . Kept calling dvla for an update on my v5c logbook. No record of it at all 1 month latet still no record kept calling this lot but obviously it wasn't their problem anymore.
Anyway so i lost my first holiday which was all booked out because of this and not necessarily their fault. So i applied for a second v62 at the post office and sent it of . And turns out that there was something wrong with this logbook god knows what . So dvla called me up to say that this logbook will be processed in the 8th of August. And today finally I received
12.08.2023 2 months after i purchased the car.
I lost almost the summer holidays because i couldn't drive the car out of the country with my family. Even though this car Even though overpriced with 1 bold tyre faulty tail light which couldn't be fixed .high mileage 140.000. The keypad of the controllers faulty full of little dents all around. I totally regret buying this car from here .
Great customer service from Martyn. He was very thorough and answered all questions I had. He even arranged to pick me up from the train station. The car is in good condition exactly as advertised and was immaculate inside and out when I collected it. I would definitely recommend this business to others. Had a great experience from start to finish.
