Purchased a 12-speed XG-fitment cassette. Looked fine at first and was cheaper than SRAM, but after only 60–80 miles it started creaking badly. Airbike refused to accept it back and wouldn’t acknowledge any fault with the product.

Replaced it with a SRAM cassette and the noise disappeared immediately.

Money completely wasted. Avoid — the small saving upfront will cost you more in the long run. Poor product quality, poor customer service, and very poor communication. I’m now planning to report the issue to Trading Standards.

I ordered a cassette but unfortunately it didn't fit. In response, Airbike have been outstanding in trying to help with phone advice, sending out an additional lock-ring and ultimately granting a full refund and allowing me to keep the cassette. Excellent service - highly recommended

Thought I'd try an Air Bike 11 speed cassette as I'm sick of paying stupid Shimano XT prices for cassettes that the Peak District destroys in 6 months. So glad I did - smooth changing, no chain chatter and less than half the price of XT. A real bonus is that it comes with a 50 large ring, which the Long Cage XT Mech has no difficulty handling. With a green bike it looks really cool too!

I bought a set of Air BIke Uk's own front suspension forks for my sons mountain bike for Christmas from the Air Bike Uk Ebay shop.
One month later they failed and the seal blew off the top of the fork while the bike was sitting in the house drying off after having been washed.
I contacted Air Bike Uk and they could not have been less helpful and immediately laid the blame with us as the user.
After a lot of explaining and going back and fore with them we got nowhere - they weren't willing to refund and take the faulty forks back or send out replacement forks and take the faulty ones back. As it turns out there seems to be a lot of other people who have had issues with these forks too so i would definitely NOT RECCOMEND the product itself to anyone thinking on going down that route.
Also looking at other feedback there seems to be a pattern of if the product is ok then its good feedback but if there are any issues with a product then people seem to have had the same issue as me in that Air Bike Uk are not interested in resolving the problem.

I bought a rear cassette to complement my SRAM drive train. It arrived promptly and fitted the hub perfectly. The gear change is smooth and precise, wouldn’t know it wasn’t t from SRAM.
At half the price it represents great value!

The item has a clear fault and the seller was contacted. The products for most may very well be of good quality, despite having many and having an issue with one, the customer support is abysmal.

Sadly, it seems that the "customer support" representative is actually the CEO of Airbike.uk - completely unprofessional and I'll be releasing a video detailing the exchange.

I cycle thousands of miles per year and as such bicycle running costs can be high. I usually buy ultegra cassettes to match derailleurs and shifters but at £60-65 a pop I decided to look at alternatives, I came across air bike on eBay and took a chance and bought an 11 speed cassette,which incidentally was half the price of my usual purchase. Well I can safely say after riding with it for several hundreds of miles it shifts at least as smoothly as the shimano and is comparable in weight. This for me has been a game changer and I will definitely be buying my consumables from air bike, and urge you all to do the same.

Delivered a wheel which was not true and suggested it was damaged after delivery. Refused to take a look at the wheel or engage further. So took my money but took no responsibility for the poor quality of the product.
This is an edit - since I posted this review the business owner sent me a petty, immature and abusive email, which evidences where his priorities lie, rather than engaging with customers to resolve issues constructively.

Noticed when considering buying from this company that their website was using misleading stock level information, I can only assume with the goal of making the customer rush the purchase. I thought I would make contact to ask why they do this and to offer feedback, pointing out that this kind of misleading tactic doesn't inspire trust in a business. All I got was a smart asre response and some abuse.

Absolutely 5 star products and service. Value for money is exceptional 😀

It’s Friday the 10th of Nov and a cassette I’ve ordered as not arrived .
I’ve emailed them and the response is :-
We’re currently away on our winter break and will sort it out on our return , January the 3rd !!

Okay , after submitting a negative experience the company contacted me to sort the situation , which is good .
Turns out the cassette had not been despatched for whatever reason , which is bad .
On a positive note I have recieved the cassette which appears to be of good quality and good value for money .
The company have requested me to update the review of my experience .
Have I had a positive experience service/efficiency wise ? No
Is the product good ? Yes
So from negative 1 star to a average 3 stars is where we’re at .

I love these products and this company do a great job and keep bike parts affordable and they look cool too! Speedy delivery also. Excellent customer services!!

AirBike XD cassettes will only fit *some* XD hubs. Those made to SRAM’s correct technical specs. will not accept their cassettes.

XD standard freehub bodies technically specifies that the splines are all the same size. All pre-2017 hubs had this specification. Aftermarket companies (who cold-formed their freehubs) just used the blanks from Shimano HG, which have a (wider) timing spline machined to XD standard. (The timing spline was used in HG cassettes/freehubs to ensure that each of the individual sprockets were aligned properly relative to each other, which is not required on a 1-piece XD cassette?) Most manufacturers have now moved to using HG-type XD freehub bodies, but this is technically wrong and won’t work with lots of (mostly older) wheels (though Superstar Components still use the old standard on their new wheels, for one). I have made AirBikes aware of this, but they brushed it off with a passive-aggressive response.

Additionally, the aluminium on the lock-ring is cottage-cheese soft. I manage to shear some teeth off mine (using a Park Tool FR-5.2GT cassette tool) when removed it to service the hub bearings.

To me, this seems functionally identical to products by Sunrise and ZTTO available on AliExpress for $29.99. I wouldn’t pay the extra to AirBike for the sake of customer service because they are completely uninterested once the product fails.

The owner will undoubtedly post a response below explaining how I’m rude (which is true), but I began be being polite and got the brush-off. Use them if you want to… but I wouldn’t. It’s a budget product repackaged to look premium, IMO.

Edit: I pointed out the issue with the XD cassette via eBay on 19 December 2022 - the day they arrived. The second paragraph above is copied verbatim from that e-mail. At the time you said you "[r]eally appreciate[d] this information", but ignored the bit in the same e-mail about a partial refund.

Buy of these guys if you like. If there are no issues with the item, they're A1, but they don't stand by their products when they prove to be faulty, as you can probably tell from the tone of the response. I've just bought a new SRAM XG1150 from Lordgun Bikes for £75.

I have phoned twice and emailed once to try to sort out an issue with 11-34 cassette that I have just purchased - but despite your out-of-office voice message ( over the last weekend) I am still awaiting your call.

Arrived next day, fitted with ease, looks good and feels plush

Purchased a wide range cassette from here to see what the impact would be on my riding, without going to the expense of a top of the range product. Found the range prefect, the cassette performed exactly as shimano, I don't see a need to go back to the original! Plus it was in stock!

Response time was great to e-mail enquiry. Stephen was really helpful on the telephone. Product was delivered quickly and is great.
Excellent service, price, quality of product and experience all round.
