AirRide is the UK’s leading air suspension specialist, providing premium air suspension solutions for cars, vans, motorhomes, pickups, and commercial vehicles. If it has suspension, we can likely fit air suspension to it! Our Story AirRide started in the early 2000s when air suspension was first gaining attention in the UK. Inspired by custom U.S. car builds featured in magazines, we saw an opportunity to bring air suspension technology to British roads. Back then, our custom bodyshop customers wanted the perfect stance, low for show, but high enough to clear speed bumps and avoid damage. Traditional coil springs meant compromising between looks and practicality, but air suspension changed everything. With the ability to adjust ride height at the touch of a button, it became a game-changer. As demand grew, air suspension became our sole focus, and today, that’s all we do. Over the years, we’ve expanded our expertise from performance cars to motorhomes, campervans, commercial fleets, and heavy-duty vehicles, offering tailored solutions for each. What We Offer We provide: ✔ Full air suspension kits for a wide range of vehicles ✔ Custom air suspension setups for specialist applications ✔ Self-levelling and onboard compressor systems ✔ Upgrades and replacements for existing air suspension ✔ Expert advice and support to ensure you get the right system for your needs Whether you need better ride comfort, load support, or the ultimate stance, our systems are designed to deliver. Why Choose AirRide? ✔ Over 20 years of air suspension expertise ✔ High-quality components from trusted brands ✔ Solutions for all vehicle types, from classic cars to modern commercial fleets ✔ A customer-focused approach, helping you find the perfect system ✔ UK-based support with in-depth industry knowledge From enthusiasts looking to slam their car to motorhome owners wanting a smoother ride, we make air suspension simple, reliable, and effective. Find out why thousands trust AirRide.co.uk for their air suspension needs, we're here to help you ride your way!

Unpaid CCJ

I am still waiting for payment of the the county court judgement 425MC288 made against the proprietor and his company for the non supply of my airbags which he sold to another customer while my parts were at his premises in 2023. Beware you will not be able to pay by credit card so will have to rely on the courts for protection if anything goes wrong. In my case this has not worked so far.

Contacted airride for a price for new front struts as one is leaking, Kristine suggested I try a new set if O rings first which I ordered from stock. These have cured the problem For only £15 rather than £800 for the struts. Also followed up the order With a useful fitting guide pdf. Great service all round

Service above and beyond

Contacted AirRide for advice as to approach fixing the faulty air suspension on what was a VW Caddy formerly converted for wheelchair compatibility I.e. pneumatic ramp and rear air suspension to lower the back for the ramp entry.

They went above and beyond, asking for, and reviewing photographs to analyze potential solutions that would also align with different budgets and such.

One doesn’t experience this type of brilliant service and assistance very often and this level of care gives great confidence to customers trying to arrive at solutions in the quite technical world air suspension. Big thanks!

My Soggy Motorhome

My motorhome, a Swift Sundance 600s dating from 2004, had rear suspension leaf springs that were actually inverted - that is to say bent downwards at each end. This was no doubt due to 18 years of continuous load. Leaf springs are supposed to go on holiday occasionally, having the load removed so that they recover their shape. The consequence of having sagging leaf springs like this is excessive roll on cornering and a back end that occasionally impacts on the road when going over a rough piece of road, like a railway crossing, for example. Not to mention a continuous rough ride shaking the back, rattling the pots and pans and even your teeth filling at times. So Air Ride seemed to be the answer. Take out the bump stops and bolt them in. Would it be that simple? Would it cure the problems?

Yes, and yes. Removing the bump stops was, surprisingly, dead simple. They were not at all rusty and unscrewed easily. I took off the back wheels to get access, which is much better than rolling about on the ground underneath. Then pop in the bellows, secure them, put the wheel back on and Robert is your father's brother. All that remains to be done is the compressed air pipework. I had opted not to have fancy on board pump, gauges and electrical wiring, just two Schrader valves on a bracket which I positioned out of the way in the gas compartment.

To start with I put in 80psi which was too much. The back end was kicked up maybe 3" higher than before and it looked ridiculous! Eventually I dropped it down to 30 psi and it looked right. I've now driven the vehicle about 1000 miles since fitting (which is why this revue is so late) and I am delighted with the improvement. The leaf springs are smiling too! Body roll is almost eliminated, the ride is smoother and quieter and no more risk of grounding going over rough roads and tracks.

This is a fantastic product, I couldn't be more pleased with it. Five stars Air Ride, you deserve them.

Air Suspension System

Ordered air ride suspension system with a twin needle gauge kit for a Fiat Ducato Motorhome. I had to chase the company as it took weeks to arrive. The air bags were good quality and straightforward to fit, however the twin needle gauge kit was a very poor product. The gauge didn’t fit in the mounting bracket, T-pieces missing and there was no ptfe sealant for the fittings on the rear of the gauge. When I managed to assemble it (after I had filed the mounting to get it to fit) it looked very untidy and bulky because of all the pipes and fittings. I contacted the company with my concerns and they agreed that I could return the gauge kit for a refund. There are much neater gauge kits on the market for your air suspension.

Stay away!!!!!

Have contacted trading standards and got advice from The Citizens advice bureau as purchased and paid in full for a suspension kit for my Merc sprinter. Was told 8 weeks from payment date somewhere in July 23. Anyway fast forward to March 24 and multiple emails claiming staff shortages and “another 2 weeks” the kit has not showed up. No refund from Airride as they are complete con artists.
To be clear, I ordered through another company who refunded me but they have not and refuse to refund that company still.
You only need to search Companies House and you see how many companies the director Phillip Christopher CHAPMAN has dissolved and you will understand what this con artist is about.

Kit was purchased with promises of 6…

Kit was purchased with promises of 6 weeks delivery. 12 weeks later the kit did eventually arrive with no comms in between.

Kit was supplied with the wrong brackets, contact was attempted via phone and email however no response till a week later when an out of office appeared. A week after the out of office expired (4 weeks since the wrong brackets were supplied) a response was made. By that point the vehicle had been on the ramp for too long and alternative brackets had to be purchased - £250.

Kit now installed - the reservoir supplied needs filled 3 times to inflate the bags. New air tank purchased - another £500.

The compressor supplied is also vastly underspecced and is louder than the engine on my 20 year old defender. A competing air bag firm pointed me in the right direction, now fitting 2 larger compressors which run 15db quieter, a huge difference. Another £500.

Airride controller is specced with the wrong lines, as confirmed by the US manufacturer. This means a slow inflate and deflate. I’ll need to rerun the lines and hope that adapters solve the issue. If not it’s a new controller. Running new lines will be around £200. If it’s a new controller that’ll be another £1,500. Really hope it doesn’t come to that.

Still no response from Airride. Asked for a partial refund due to the wrong brackets but no joy. I’ve contacted the supplier of the air suspension controller and the air bag company so they’re aware of the company they’re dealing with.

Another thing to be aware of is they seem to be in a habit of creating new companies. As you’re asked to transfer via bank transfer you could be in a fair bit of trouble if they fold the company again and haven’t supplied your kit.

All in all it’s made one of the modifications I was most excited for a right hassle start to finish. These don’t come cheap, would recommend really having a think about whether to use this firm.

This review contains a considerable amount of incorrect information.

Steven may have been the victim of unscrupulous and unnecessary upselling by a third party. He also attempted to Blackmail the company with – “give me money back or I’ll give you a negative review”.

Steven ordered his kit with no promises in relation to a delivery date. Our best guess was 6 weeks, but this was absolutely not guaranteed. We kept him informed regularly with over a dozen phone calls and emails logged – this could in no way be truthfully described as “no comms in between”. He was offered his management immediately but declined.

The kit was delivered with the correct brackets. A minor adjustment is needed to one bracket on some LandRover vehicles, but it takes around 2 minutes, and is very simple for any installer to do. A picture of the bracket from the customer shows that it was being incorrectly fitted and no new brackets were needed, it simply needed to be trimmed and installed. We never have any problems installing this kit ourselves, and no competent installer has ever reported any issue with the kit to date.

We offer an unparalleled level of technical support via email, phone, and video but we do occasionally need time off. Steven even sent a nice email to say how important it is to take time off! During the summer we had a very well publicised shut down (on website and email autoreply) as we do every summer.
The tank supplied was a 200psi 2.5 gallon tank as it fits easily under the vehicle and will do one full lift of the vehicle with ease. A second tank can be chosen if desired, but it certainly won’t cost £500. Another way to improve performance is to change max pressure from 150psi to 200psi in the menu! This is free.

We supply the awesome spec Viair 444C compressor and focus on reliability and durability over cost or noise. The compressor although loud is well below the noise level of the LandRover engine, and no-one who ever heard a LandRover running would think his claim credible!!! The spec on this fabulous unit is a maximum of 200 psi, 100% duty cycle at 100psi, and its all metal. To say it’s under speced for the job is simply an error of judgement and shows a total lack of knowledge of the industry and basic engineering. It’s used on 4-ton vans and motorhomes where it performs very well. We sell quieter compressors (from Viair), but they are a more costly option. Steven was warned about the noise BEFORE he ordered and offered the more costly quieter version, but he declined.

The airline supplied with the controller is supplied by the US manufacturer in the box. It is used on 90% of all our kits and again larger than the sizes used on OEM manufacturers. We use ¼ line as standard because it’s easy to install and safe to adjust whilst driving. Larger lines are available as an extra cost option. This option was not chosen. This system will adjust the height of the vehicle around 10 times faster than an OEM air equipped vehicle. Upgrades are available at extra cost but not an option that was chosen by Steven.

Steven is correct we never respond to blackmail threats.

All customers are able to pay for their kits on the website using credit cards. Customers are not “asked” to pay by transfer but choose to do so because it is slightly cheaper, and more secure. We prefer website card sales as its less work for the office.

Steven ordered our entry level digital kit but despite it being the cheapest digital kit we offer comes with a very impressive spec.: ALP 3P ¼ controller, 200 psi, 100% duty cycle all metal suspension grade compressor, 200 psi all aluminium tank, 160 psi ultra-high capacity bags and 6mm thick best on the market brackets. Options for upgrades are available for quieter compressors, bigger tanks, bigger lines but as can be seen on our website and our YouTube channel the blue vehicle with exactly this specification adjusts at a reasonable speed without these optional upgrades.
