Totally Unreliable, We have lost a lot of money
Our flight to Santo was cancelled at just 4 hours notice, this wrecked our pre-booked holiday plans to go to the islands of Santo and Tanna. A whole grim day was wasted in Port Villa trying to find out if we a would be reimbursed. We have not been. Nor was a night in a hotel provided as was promised. In addition, due to Air Vanuatu's flight cancellation, (not ours), the hotel and Dive company, Pacific Dive, Santo then refused to refund our full payment of £1,100 despite not informing us about such a cancellation policy, as did the hotel, The Espiritu (£500) also sighting a previously undisclosed cancelation policy. We then had to cancel other flights we had booked with Air Vanuatu to the island of Tanna because we were advised that Air Vanuatu very likely would not be able to get us back to Efate in order to catch our international return flights back to NZ and then the UK, a loss we could not risk. Air Vanuatu did not reimburse these either. It's a great shame as Vanuatu is a wonderful place. Air Vanuatu is incompetent and dishonest, a national disgrace.
