My experience with the ALGBRA bank app has been an absolute nightmare, riddled with inconvenience and incompetence at every turn. I'm compelled to share my ordeal to warn others of the sheer frustration they may encounter.
To start, the integration with Apple Pay was a disaster from the get-go. Despite successfully adding my ALGBRA card to my Apple Wallet, the functionality never worked. Even after receiving and activating my physical card, Apple Pay remained stubbornly dysfunctional. Each attempt to use it resulted in failure, forcing me to constantly remove and re-add the card, causing unnecessary hassle and wasting my time.
The final straw came when I attempted to make a payment using the ALGBRA card, only to have it declined repeatedly. Frustrated and desperate, I tried transferring the required amount to my other bank account to complete the payment. Yet again, ALGBRA's incompetence reared its ugly head, as the transfer failed without explanation.
What's more infuriating is the utter lack of communication and support from ALGBRA's customer service team. Despite multiple attempts to seek assistance, I was left in the dark, with my money inexplicably held in limbo. This delay not only disrupted my payment but also necessitated another tiresome trip to the shop, wasting precious time and resources.
In summary, my experience with the ALGBRA bank app has been an unmitigated disaster. From failed Apple Pay integration to declined transactions and inept customer service, it's clear that ALGBRA is utterly incapable of providing even the most basic banking services. Spare yourself the agony and avoid this app like the plague.

Yes I got the apple pay finally done after many attempts and thanks for the reply. Matt is helping me with the issue. And I hope the problem can solve in a short time. Would keep posted.

Received an email try making the transfer to the account you transferred the funds in from now
And I found that the funds is allowed to transfer.
Thanks for the effort for Matt and Zenia. Even though they choose to not response for yesterday whole day. But after the night, the problem solved. It is a scary experience and quite inconvenient during the course. If you are urgent in doing some payments . Think before you act.

Is there even any customer service. £360 was transferred out my account last night soon as I seen it I was on to email and live chat, it was out of hours granted so was just expecting a reply this morning. It's now afternoon and I still can't seem to speak to anyone. Soon as I've sorted this I'll be closing and running

An overseas ATM failed to dispense my money and Algbra's team was able to solve the issue in a swift and transparent manner. Truly appreciated and fully recommend Algbra. 100% trustworthy and enjoyable to use.

First off all I think personally I will advice you stay away from this bank as the customer services is so poor and u professional. Have had a friend send me money and all of a sudden my account is on a temporary hold … I have sent all documents required and still no response from no one it’s been a week now and still am not able to access my account also it has cost me a lot of problems in my personal life because I can’t do what I need to do.. where is my money please …. I will keep everyone updated once they sort me out… but as at now they are not worth using ….. MY ACCOUNT WAS FIXED EVERYONE …I have access to my money and everything been working fine .. THANKS @ Algebra

Had my account defrauded by over £100 they have refused to reimburse me…. They implied it was my fault and refused to escalate it and make good.

When I first joined Algbra, I was enticed by their claims of ethical banking and the promise of being part of a 'movement.' Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but ethical or revolutionary. Instead, it has been a journey of frustration, financial hardship, and a stark realization that what Algbra claims to stand for may just be a façade.
My account was put on hold shortly after opening it, an action that could be understandable if it was handled with transparency and efficiency. However, what followed was a series of unresponsive and inadequate customer service experiences that have left me in a state of considerable financial distress.
Despite providing all necessary documentation and repeatedly reaching out to resolve the issue, my requests were met with silence or inadequate responses. The irony of a bank that prides itself on ethical standards, yet fails to provide the basic tenet of customer service, does not escape me.
The zenith of this disappointing journey was their decision to close my account without a valid reason, alongside a promise to transfer my funds which, to this date, remains unfulfilled. The delay in accessing my own hard-earned money, especially in these trying economic times, speaks volumes of the gap between Algbra's marketed image and the reality of their customer experience.
To those considering Algbra for their banking needs, I advise caution. The allure of ethical banking is strong, but my experience serves as a reminder that a bank’s true measure is in its actions, not just in its advertised values. Algbra, in my case, has been a lesson in what happens when a financial institution's practice falls short of its promises – a lesson I hope others can avoid.

Algbra have frozen my account. This is acceptable as I understand that as a regulated financial institution, they have to do their due diligence.
What isn't acceptable, is that their support team are incredibly slow. They don't keep you up-to-date on anything that's going on, even when you've chased for an update. This is after having provided all of the documentation they have asked for. It's been more than a week with my money in the account frozen. Luckily, it's just savings and not money I immediately need.
Will defo rethink about using Algbra once this has been resolved.
Very kind and friendly team members. I paid for a service then the company no longer existed and they did not refund me for what I paid. I contacted Algbra and Lauren who was very nice helped me get my money back.

Genuine feedback, Nice bank and lovely initiative, Alhamdulillah.
However Customer Support could be much better; you could be waiting a day or more for emails to be replied to, no telephone contact to reach out to for support, only in app and email, even the email sometimes they don't respond, the times I've had issues,
Generally a good banking app , but 1.5 star for Customer support. I really love the app so i hope they do better in this department.

I had money in my account and I transferred to my Revolut account since last week Saturday and Algbra basically suspended my account on no explanation. I haven't able to get my money yet from them they have asked me to send them my other bank accounts statement which I already have sent last Thursday and still no answer customer support chat telling me to wait they have looking into this every time and they haven't replied to my from email from last Thursday. I am going to take them to court from tomorrow. Hopefully they have a great reason to hold my money for a week with no ground.
