exceptional professionalism throughout. David Anderson was recommended and is well reviewed and performs all the surgeries. I elected to have refractive lens replacements (both eyes) and was anxious about the whole procedure. The calm and unhurried approach and care taken to ensure the surgery and lenses were right for me was most reassuring. The procedure was a pleasure and the staff at the Wessex are superb. I am two weeks in now and am already delighted and am glasses free. Life changing eye surgery like this is a serious decision and the cost was not a consideration. There are low cost providers out there that I just would not consider.

I recently had an eye ablation at Anderson Eye Care to re-correct my vision, and I'm over the moon with the results! I'd previously had Lasix at another company, and it only lasted 8 years, and I was back to glasses, which I hated. Although the ablation was very sore for the first few days afterwards, I was warned, given lots of medication eye drops and very well supported by the specialist nursing team at Wessex Nuffield Hospital. I've just had my final check up with the delightful Mr. Anderson and my long distance vision is even better than 20/20! So pleased I had this procedure done, great overall experience and I felt so we cared for by all of the Anderson Eye Care and Wessex Nuffield Hospital teams

After having cataract surgery 3 years ago my eyes had gradually clouded over so Mr Anderson dealt with this with the YAG laser last week. It was so quick and within hours my eyes were 20/20 again. I can’t fault the experience. From the friendly, efficient office staff to the thorough expertise of Mr Anderson, it took all anxiety away. I can’t recommend Mr Anderson highly enough. I am like a child at Christmas now! Not only has my eyesight been restored so that I can drive, but I see colours so vividly now. Mr Anderson was very friendly and happy to answer any questions. He gave balanced advice and the procedure went very well. Intraocular lens insertion was a good fit for me due to my Inflammatory Bowel Disease and dry eyes.

I can’t praise Mr Anderson and Anderson Eye Care highly enough. I have had deteriorating vision for years but on 23rd August at the Wessex Nuffield, Mr Anderson performed left and right eye refractive cataract surgery with trifocal lens implants and I am thrilled with the results. I recently had lens replacement surgery at Anderson Eye Care, Eastleigh. Mr Anderson was highly recommended by a previous patient. I booked a consultation as I was finding wearing glasses increasingly inconvenient .
Mr Anderson talked me through basic eye anatomy and the causes of eye deterioration as we age. We then discussed my lifestyle and the choice of lens that would suit me. The surgical procedure was explained and a very thorough eye examination followed. For the surgery I was offered local or general anaesthetic. I chose to be fully awake during the procedure which was quick and miraculously pain free. Immediately after surgery I was free from glasses with perfect vision. Incredible.
It has been 10 weeks post surgery and it has been life changing for me. Every day feels like a miracle.
I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Anderson whose professionalism, attention to detail and friendly demeanour instil a sense of calm and confidence. All members of his team are so caring and friendly too. 100% recommend.

I am now over 6 months post surgery and it has been life changing! Being able to see without glasses since I was 6yrs, enjoying a trip to the beach for the first time has been amazing. Only have good words to say about both Mr Anderson and his team. Best decision I have made. My neighbour is following my advice and hopefully going ahead with surgery too.

Mr Anderson understood my nervousness given the post-operative problems I had had ten years previously with my left eye. He understood why I had put off for as long as I could (as advised by the medical specialist group monitoring my eye condition), the cataract surgery now needed on my right eye. Most importantly, he saw my clear need, having got to the point of rapid deterioration and severely reduced sight, for a rapid intervention.

He agreed to undertake the surgery without delay. The cataract was, as I was told afterwards, a dense brunescent - not the easiest, I am told to deal with.

The surgery and post surgery recovery were painless and almost immediately, post-operation my vision appeared to be almost back to normal. Within two weeks I had 20/20 vision in the eye. I do not think I could have asked for more.

I cannot commend the work of Mr Anderson and of the other staff at the Wessex Hospital enough. The whole process was very professional.

I would 100% recommend Anderson Eye Care. The whole process from the initial consultation through to the procedure and follow ups was brilliant. I would like to offer one piece of advice, if you need cataract surgery, don't put it off. It's completely understandable to be nervous about eye surgery, but David Anderson will put you at ease and will explain the procedure clearly and professionally. The after care is also exemplary.

I was provided with plenty of aftercare - quite an intensive eye drop schedule but I followed it to the letter and enjoyed a fast and thorough healing process. Excellent at every stage of the process from booking an initial consultation to having Lens Replacement Surgery to follow-up. David was brilliant as was the rest of his team.

I have keratoconus and have previously only been able to function when wearing piggyback contact lenses. If I was unable to wear them for any reason I was effectively blind. Now, my sight is so improved that I can manage with just glasses
