USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! Customer service is horrific and argumentative...definitely do not at follow the motto, "customer is always right". Repairmen are not familiar with popular washing machine and dryer makes. They will charge you a lot of money and leave a broken appliance. They are not honest and will rip you off.
If you mistakenly choose to use them, test your appliance to the fullest and only agree to pay after 30 days otherwise you will lose your money!!

wish I had read reviews these people have no hourly rate so say check each part on microwave oven ie main board service 92 bucks safety system service 78 bucks and electric wiring 70 bucks was on job 20 minutes don't touch this company with a barge pole.should be put out of business .expensive experience .

Appliance Gene (Kitchener) ... Technician arrived, well dressed, touched the compressor, performed a great touchy, touchy act, and due to the age of the freezer, deemed it was not serviceable, even though I wanted it repaired. He was very quick to write out the bill for $130's and was gone. I decided to call in another TechnIcian because I had done my homework and suspected that the well published problem, with this particular unit, was probably the issue. The freezer is now working no thanks to Appliance Gene.

I requested Appliance Gene refund some of my expense due to poor service. My request was first answer with the wrong information, and the second response did not warrant a response back from them at all.

Our dishwasher was leaking badly so called this company. Repair guy came two days later and I agreed to pay $290 for the labor to diagnose and repair the dishwasher. First mistake! He found a broken part in less than 5 minutes and quoted me $426 for a new inlet valve. He spent a lot of time telling us how Bosch parts are way over priced and that is how they make their money. Long story, but I found the original Bosch valve at a local parts dealer and paid $48 for it! Took me 20 minutes to install it.

Only after all this did I look for Google and Homestar reviews - they are almost 100% negative!

Bottom line, stay away from this company!!

Came out pretty fast and had a low initial fee but tried to charge me close to $400 for a $100 icemaker. I ended up ordering it myself and I had someone else install it. Still cost me less than what they wanted. I think they are a scam. I would NOT recommend them. Stick with the companies with a good reputation.

They did the standard $80 dispatch fee, waived if you accept the labour estimate (in this case $280). I asked how much it would cost to replace the washing machines tub and bearings as i was fairly certain this was the issue. He deflected, by saying it was repairable and that it would cost $1400 to buy a replacement to fit in it's place. Against my better judgement I accepted the labour cost and then after 50 minutes of work he came and told me the repair i had originally asked the repair price of would be $908. It's a 15 year old washer and he still tried to pressure me into doing the repair. The total costs would have been $1,350 if i had done them. He even tried to tell me that mine was better as it was a european model and that he could tell because the top was flat... I should have checked with BBB before calling.

All of the reviews on this site are totally true. We trusted these criminals to fix our microwave. Three months later it was still not fixed. They told us they had to order parts but the wrong parts came in. When the supposed right parts came in the microwave still didn't work. We have spent $1,000 on this debacle. We phoned another appliance repair service and they told us that it would be cheaper to buy a new microwave which we have now done. I want to report these scammers to the Better Business Bureau. If you have been scammed by these people, let's unite and demand legal action. I can't believe they are still in business ripping everybody off!

I'm currently out $850 on a repair for my washing machine. 3 weeks I've been out a machine. I paid for a service I never received and they sent me a broken part and said sorry. You're on your own. Why aren't there more reviews on other sites. I just found this after it was too late. Damnit.
Avoid these people at all costs.

It is a shame I did not find this site before I contacted the Appliance Repairman/Repairteam.
This company is an absolute joke.
First, they tell me that it would be an $80 service call fee which I assumed meant to diagnose the issue with my stove not heating.
The technician informed me that he needs to perform an end-to-end inspection which would be $280. As I figured this would be an in-depth process, I told him to go ahead. Less than 5 minutes later he tells me what the issue is (so much for an end to end inspection)
The $80 was apparently just for the technician to drive to my house.
The technician seemed to know what the issue was before even checking the back of the stove.
When I called them, they informed me that the $280 was to service the unit. What they did was not service it as it is still not working.
Suggest you do your research for other companies but would stay clear of these guys. I did not do this and am now out $300.
I will now have to call a more reputable company to fix my stove.

I also checked the BBB and they are rated an F (you can search for appliance repair and check for yourself as I am not allowed to post links in this review.) I will also write a complaint on the BBB about this company.

I wish I had checked reviews before calling the first company that popped up on my google feed. Don't make the same mistake that I did. I panicked. When Igor showed up he said that I had to pay by cash or debit. (I should have known right there to send him on his way.) Stupid me paid him on the spot. He said that if it didn't work (what he was doing), i would just be out the part. AND it would only cost me a couple hundred dollars. WRONG!!!! $584. + later and lots of calls/emails back and forth I finally got $164. back - it took four months of badgering the company. DON'T use this company. I was taken.
Last week my daughter's fridge broke down. This company did not get her business.

Like others in this site, my husband was scammed by this so-called company. DO NOT USE. The advice they give is bogus and they charge an obscene amount for the so-called assessment visit. A paltry amount is refunded. We think this is a false company. They also seem to go under the name Repair Team.

Absolutely useless. After paying $300 a rookie shows up & pretends to be a professional ends up breaking the machine down. Comes back & quoted me another $700 for nothing. Almost a $1000 for absolutely nothing spoke to Marcela the manager who’s supposed to take care of customers & got nothing. Don’t waste your time, don’t waste your money. If I can give a zero, I would’ve.

Do not use this company unless you want to be scammed. Out $500.00 and nothing fixed.

Tech came over April 14th to look at warm standing freezer - he thought it would be worth spending $316.40 and it should fix it. He never left a bill or quote if we needed a compressor repair in future. I've contacted him several times and he tells me head office should have contacted me for a "free" follow up appt. I emailed May 31, they apologized and said I would be contacted immediately....no contact until I called today...they made a generous offer of $1000 less $200 for compressor.....about the cost of a new freezer....I would give 0 stars if possible...I feel like I was duped

Worst customer service ever it’s been over a week and nothing resolved big scammers charged me $1800.00 appliance never worked properly and now stopped working customer service sucks no one knows anything

Brutal Service!! Do yourself a favor listen to all the bad reviews on here and go elsewhere. 100% scammers $270 charge to tell me i need a new machine. Don't bother calling to talk to anyone they could care less

I am out $650! I have been chasing these guys for 2 1/2 months trying to find out when the back ordered parts would be in and then when did come in, I have had three appointments set up where the gas technician did not show up. First one, they had no idea why he didn't come, second was for "religious" reasons, and the third no show was because he "got pulled off the road". I thought to check reviews at this point (my bad) and found all of these reviews on Trustpilot. I contacted @sylviaduckworth (Twitter, Instagram) and am joining the law suit! Please go to her blog page (her name dot com and put appliancerepairman in the search field) to get your money back and get these guys for good! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!

Unfortunately as many many others I also fell for this scam. They make a living off scamming people and conducting absolutely dishonest and misleading service. PLEASE STAY AWAY. I called about 5 times already to complain and speak to a manager, and have yet to hear back. I lost $300 and hope others don’t have to.
