Avoid buying online, appalling customer service

Ordered 2 live daphnia 100ml pouches, and 1 pack frozen dapnia for one Betta fish. Paid for items including postage Live Daphnia arrived half dead, retrieve approx 30 daphnia. Contacted store and spoke to a very nice lady who said they would send out 2 replacement pouches that day and should arrive next day. By 5pm nothing arrived, called to let them know that and as it is Saturday, Royal Mail will not be delivering on Sunday and this will probably result in dead Daphnia again. A man answered and told me he pulled the replacement pouches because it would cost more for them to send. Told me to place a new order for two pouches and he will place 2 additional pouches for free and I have to pay for the new order plus postage again. I explained I only have one Betta and I don't need 4 pouches. He then complained about the cost of the postage against cost of daphnia and then offered to refund me £2 for one pouch even though I paid for two. He then shouted at me saying this was costing him more in his time than what it was worth and then hung up the call on me. I called back and mentioned consumer rights and he said 'do what you want, that's it' and hung up on me again. The order total including postage was about £12, not a lot, but the fact is the rudeness and not honoring the replacement that they had previously committed to is unprofessional as well as treating a customer with contempt.

So much better if people know the full story.

When you phoned initially, you where already on another call screaming about your air B&B having an issue and you threatened to sue the other person, this was nothing to do with us but your screaming whilst also trying to talk to one of our staff members was a little off putting.

Anyway as usual practice "K" asked for a photo evidence that you failed to provide which then doesn't help us sort why you had an issue.
Failure to assist us in this case basically means you wanted a freebie although already confirmed your delivery was alive but not as you expected !!

We then attempted to assist you later on with several options including quite a lot of advise on Betta's and their possible foods and keeping etc etc yes this went on for approximately 15 minutes.

Then you said ok I'll try and get some from a local shop !!
Cheers for that, we try to assist and then you suggest after asking questions you didn't want our advice and help, just a refund after also confirming the foods where alive with a few possibly dead.

Unfortunately we have a trust and belief issue, in your comments and as for the review. Well like a petulant child, you descend into trying to discredit us for as much destruction as you can cause (for £2.09). I'd rather give the money to a deserving charity out of my own pocket.

In the meantime, please use a local shop and see how far you get with your attitude and good luck with your Air B&B maybe someone will review negatively your Business for something that isn't there fault but maybe yours.

THE FLOATING PLANTS I ORDERED WERE DISAPPOINTING THEY WERE IN THREE SEPERATE BAGS BUT ONLY TWO OF THE BAGS CONTAINED ONE OF THE SPECIES EACH THE THIRD ONE WAS A MIX OF TWO SPECIES OF PLANTS IT WAS MOSTLY DUCKWEED I DIDNT SEE ANY OF THE SALVINIA NATANS

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE! There are so many other online pet stores that are a million times better - save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.

I ordered a UVB bulb and heard absolutely nothing for two weeks. When I finally chased it up myself, I was told it was out of stock and would be replaced with a different bulb. It arrived two days later smashed. I emailed with photos, showing the broken glass inside the box. I received an acknowledgement asking for photos of the packaging, which I sent straight away. Then silence.

Multiple follow-up emails went ignored. When I called, I was told the boss wasn't in and would call me back. He didn't. When I called again, I was told there was nothing they would do, apparently they'd sent out loads of bulbs, mine was the only one that had smashed, and to top it all off, I'd apparently opened the box wrong. I had cut it open about 10cm from the end to avoid pouring broken glass everywhere, which seems pretty reasonable to me.

Weeks after placing my original order, this is the outcome. No resolution, no refund, no accountability, just blame shifted onto the customer. I've since ordered the same bulb from another retailer with zero issues.

Terrible customer service. I will never use them again and would strongly recommend everyone else chooses a different business.

Hmmm, where to start.
Unfortunately it would be nice to give a better recollection of events.

The 10% UV tubes are out of stock with the supplier and probably now nationally and potentially worldwide as they are being fazed out.

We tried phoning you several times and left several messages (it would be nice if you actually answered your messages) to explain this and that fortunately we have an alternative for the moment.

After several message we eventually got though to you and you wanted the alternative.
We sent this in a virtually indestructible pipe for safety.
We then got a picture of the pipe all seems fine then we got a picture of a violently ripped open package and a tube smashed to bits and kind off unidentifiable !!

I find it difficult to believe your comments of the events, buy hey we try to look after people by sourcing alternatives, giving advice and telling them what's happening with the world.

Yes we try to go the extra distance for people, but when we identify an untruth and feel that we maybe "being taken for a ride", then sorry if this doesn't get you a free item that you may have broken due to mistreating the product.
Please use another online company, there are a few out there, maybe not millions but a few.

Been to aquamania today to get bits for our axolotyl and tank the staff there was fantastic so helpful especially frankie who went above and beyond to help us she literally spent so much time with us making sure the things we bought where correct and what we was looking for nothing was a bother she was more than happy to help we will definitely be returning in future for all our axolotyl needs 😀

I have relied on Aquamania to supply live food daphnia and bloodworms for my newts and goldfish for some time. Within the difficulties of transporting live food via the postal system they have been overall excellent. Very good communication on the rare occasion there is a problem
