A very helpful agent who I spoke with.…

Spoke to customer support regarding the specification of there doorbells so I didn't purchase the wrong one. They were very helpful and supplied all the relevant information.

They work!

Fast delivery and easy set up as I already have outdoor cameras. These were to watch the dogs while we’re out as they tilt rotate and zoom.

Arlo Doorbell Fails at Core Function - Formal Complaint Ignored


I have submitted a formal complaint regarding my Arlo doorbell, and have raised several cases, which suffers from a persistent 15+ second live-view delay that prevents real-time communication.

This device is a security and intercom tool. The delay means I cannot see or speak to visitors before they leave, making the product unfit for its intended purpose.

I have a fully documented support history including troubleshooting and network optimization:
• High-performance fiber connection (500/50 Mbps)
• Manual 2.4GHz channel assignment to eliminate interference

Despite emailing executive contacts, support team and setting a formal 7-day deadline, I received no response.

This is a serious failure to respond to a consumer complaint regarding a security device. I am still open to resolution, including a replacement unit capable of real-time performance or an alternative resolution.

Arlo, please confirm receipt and escalate this immediately. Ignoring this complaint is unacceptable for a product marketed as a reliable home security solution.

Pessima società, un consiglio spassionato per tutti rivolgetevi ad altri marchi.
Ho 2 vecchie Arlo Q Plus e siccome non erano usate da un po’, non si sono aggiornati i firmware e così ora che voglio ricollegarle non mi è consentito perché i nuovi server non accettano telecamere con vecchi firmware e non potendole collegare, non mi è possibile aggiornarli…

To begin, please run a speed test to ensure your upload speed is sufficient, as slow upload speeds can prevent the firmware from updating properly: https://www.speedtest.net/

Additionally, make sure the cameras are positioned close enough to your router and that they’re receiving a strong Wi‑Fi signal. A weak signal can interrupt or block the upgrade process. If you’re attempting to initiate the update manually, please try doing so from both the Arlo Secure app and our web portal via a browser at my.arlo.com.

If you need further assistance, please get in touch with our customer service. If you're located in Italy, just follow these steps:

Good hardware but very expensive subscription costs each month and what you get for that cost is minimal compared to cheaper products out there

Good hardware but subscriptions and the most expensive out there. You can even download footage and have to use your own third party app to do this. Arlo need to look at the rest of the home cctv market and understand what you can and more for less cost. Netgear need to wake up.

I have been having a series of problems…

I have been having a series of problems with doorbell and camera not working. I have spent a lot if tome on the phone, chatbot but never completely solved the problems. The last try ended with them connecting me with Kamal - who I know is in the US, (he previously told me he could not help me), and asked for my card details. As I am paying £50+ a month, I think my support should be covered by that. Impossible! I am thinking i need to leave them. I want a technician to come and reset my system, but they are not interested.

Arlo is by far the worst company I have…

Arlo is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. 2 months to deal with an issue and still not. resolved.
The use a call centre in Morocco called Diablo, who have very little knowledge and absolutely no decision-making ability. I now assume Arlo the company is 1 guy sitting in the back of his parents' house; this is certainly not a real company. I have contacted Amazon about them and asked them to stop stocking Arlo. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

SHOCKING SERVICE, STAY WELL CLEAR!!!

They overcharged me for my service plan, been chasing them for 2 weeks, I have been on hold for 1 hour x 5 times, eventually spoke with someone this morning who sounded very junior and told me there was no escalation path apart from her!!

Really Annoyed. Live view lost !!

I have 3 cameras situated in my unmanned workshop 30 miles away. Live view has stopped and needs a firmware update. I have tried to do this remotely and each time (taking 5mins) it fails to do this. I have to travel 30 miles to reset and update the hub and cameras. Its a joke and very expensive too....

Excellent Help but Difficult to Make Contact.

Once I got through to speak to Mohamed, he looked after me exceptionally well and resolved all my problems. He was very attentive and patient with my own shortcomings and now I am a very satisfied customer.
