I booked the inspection through your website at around 9:00 am on Saturday. The website showed many available spots for Saturday, so I paid the extra weekend charge of around $55 and booked the inspection for between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm. I chose this time because the car was located on the Sunshine Coast, and I live close to the Gold Coast, so I needed time to travel there and attend the inspection.

However, at around 10:00 am, your team called me and said the inspection had to be done at 10:30 am, otherwise it would need to be delayed to a weekday. This was not suitable for me because I work full-time during the week, and the location is more than two hours away from me. I felt forced to accept the 10:30 am inspection, even though it was not the time I booked.

I was told that the mechanic would call me after the inspection and that the report would be sent to me, so I could review it and ask questions. This was very important because the car was not cheap, and I needed the mechanic’s feedback about the car before making a final decision.

The inspection was completed around 11:30 am, as I received your “thank you” email asking for feedback. I arrived at the seller’s location at 2:00 pm, but by that time I had still not received any report or any call from the mechanic. I waited with the seller until 4:00 pm. I then texted the mechanic to ask about the report, and he only replied that he had already sent it. However, I still did not receive anything.

I waited until 4:30 pm, but because there was still no report and no phone call, the seller cancelled the sale. It is now around 5:00 pm, and I still have not received any report or call. I paid $463 and received no useful service at the time I actually needed it.

Because of this situation, I lost the opportunity to buy the car. I also spent my whole day travelling, including around four hours on the road, and came back home with nothing.

This service feels like a scam.

I booked a roadworthy inspection on 03/02 and was told to fix two issues, which I did. I rebooked within the 14-day free recheck period and was told on the phone that the fee would be $50.

When I arrived, they suddenly demanded $150, the same price as a full inspection. This was never disclosed to me beforehand.

This is misleading, dishonest and a waste of time and money. I would not trust this service and I do not recommend it.

Clearly put in my initial request AND told 2 of your offshore agent that my A/C issue had already been diagnosed. It was a condenser issue and I just needed it fixed, which your website and the representative told me “yes but we need our inspector to come and diagnose first then we organise the repair”

Then you charge me $200+ for him to come out and diagnose the exact thing i told you was wrong with the car.. then proceed to tell me you guys don’t do those repairs.

You are money hungry, don’t listen to a word the customer says or asks and just try to push through another inspection for your $200 and to hit your targets.

Disgraceful service, I’m gonna plaster a poor review on every single review website I can find for your company… wish I read the google reviews prior to booking because it seems a common theme.

Absolutely disgraceful. Booked an inspection. Confirmed a date only to receive a text the day before advising of a rescheduled date a week later or pay an additional $88 to keep my original appointment. Scammers. Stay clear.

Cancelled my booking twice. Waiting for refund.

Booked and paid $182.40 upfront at 2pm Friday for a 7:30am Saturday roadworthy on a small car. Weekend rate was higher than standard, which I accepted. Received booking confirmation at 2:29pm.
7:30am Saturday, no one arrives. Two missed calls at 7:49am. I call back at 7:50am and I'm told Saturday bookings require an additional $88 premium. I explain their booking system showed available dates with prices, I selected Saturday, and no additional weekend fee was mentioned at any point.
I agree to pay the extra $88. Told no one is available until possibly end of day. I request a refund instead. Told refunds can't be processed until Monday, then 3 business days to receive.
After the call, I verified their booking system again. The only +$88 option displayed is for 1-hour express service, not a weekend surcharge. Screenshots attached.

ASAP Roadworthys caused me months of delays and extra costs through admin failures and poor communication. After repairs were completed, the attending mechanic told me the vehicle had passed and the RWC would be emailed — it never was. When I followed up (before I went overseas), the office told me it had already “expired” and I’d need to pay for another RWC. During scheduling (still before my trip), I asked if doing it after I returned would change anything and was assured it would be “no problem” and would pass, and that notes were recorded.

On my return, their mechanic had no notes and failed the vehicle on items I had already paid them to repair (rocker cover gasket and headlight hazing). Their attempt to blame the 3-month gap doesn’t explain the missing certificate, the claim it had “expired” before I even left, or why their own repaired items were failed. Management wouldn’t engage directly and only offered a token discount. I’ve escalated to QLD Fair Trading.

Only score 1 star as 0 star is not possible.

Dont Use.

These guy charge a premium inspection fee and cant give you a time slot when the hob will be. You have to wait all day.

Then there business model is to fail your car so they can charge an additional $88 reinspection. They make no mention of this fee until you need reinspection. You then need to wait all day again.

Dishonest and misleading

Ultra tune charge $99 for the whole service including reinspection.

This company is a scam.
I paid for a roadworthy on my caravan which they inspected without me being present.
They failed it for alleged broken Electric Brakes (not a requirement for a road worthy) and loose bearings, with no phone call to discuss.
I paid a mechanic to fix the defects and he physically showed me that there was no problem.
I'm pretty sure they didn't even attend the caravan.
Don't waste your time or money with this company

These people are scammers. Take your money and don't provide a service. Pay up front and then don't show up. Then when they do show the next day don't read the instructions you give them to find you.
As I was driving away I watched all the gas leak out of my car- when I told them about this they told me my car was already smoking and they tell me they have video evidence that my car was but can't provide it when I ask for it.
Won't give me a refund - they obviously are liars and are scammers.

Scam Alert - they quote on their website 1 price and then send a bad invoice link and charge a different price.

If I could give this company a zero i would. It made me pay $275 for assessment and re-gas even without doing anything yet. Then the guy who quoted me only took maybe 10 minutes to check it without doing anything. Then referred me to a 3rd party mechanic… then they charged me again for re-gas when i have already paid for it to be done. And the phone receptionist is no help, useless and zero customer service.

Then they have a window of 9-4pm… how pathetic is that when they have the option on their website that you can select a timeframe

We had an inspection on our caravan and no issues other than a flat battery on an emergency break. The man told us if we just go to the local Super Cheap Auto and grab a battery and we can meet him at his next job in the Palm Beach area. His words were that he just needs to see the little green light on and it is all good to go. We asked for the address where to bring our van and he said to call the office when we are ready and they will tell us where to find him. When we called shortly afterwards the office lady told us we have to pay a reinspection fee! No mention of this at all at our first inspection and held the certificate back until we paid the additional fee. Absolute SHARKS! If they had been honest at least we could have sorted something out while they were doing the first inspection which took over an hour so there was plenty of time to get a battery.

I paid the higher premium for a booking and they said that this wasn't possible on the and there was a time frame only. This is not what I paid for.!
they refused to acknowledge that this was the case. This has lost us a likely car sale. The person that rang us wanted information that we had already given.
We cancelled and will go elsewhere

as others have said, it's a scam. booked aircon regas at 0930 with the ASAP urgent within 60 minutes. no one turned up. after 5 hours, when i went home, i cancelled my booking and asked for my refund. got a message from a technician at 16:20, saying he would be there in 14 minutes. rang them to make sure they cancelled and said i expect my refund. 24 hours later, still no refund. no i have to spend money to escalate.

i can only assume that all these 5 star reviews, are fake

Do not use this company!!! Incorrectly failed roadworthy. Company does not respond when followed up regarding problems. ACCC now involved due to how absolutely terrible this company is. Stay well away....

They failed my car where the car did not deserve to be failed, I took a UVP drove to another mechanic and got the RWC just fine. I ended paying them more because they come to you, then wasted money on Permit and finally to pay another mechanic to do it again.
I reached out trying to get a refund, but they stand by their wrong decision, so I guess one less client.

Idk about these negative reviews but i had to sell my Patrol & Rover back in AUS quickly and the buyer was getting impatient about the roadworthy certificate. Every workshop I called was booked out for 2-3 weeks minimum - absolutely useless when you need it done ASAP.

Found these guys online and honestly thought it was too good to be true. Same day service? Mobile inspection? Yeah right...

But Mick from ASAP actually showed up at my office in Surfers Paradise within 2 hours of booking. Professional setup, knew his stuff about Range Rovers (not all mechanics do), and had the inspection done in 45 minutes.

The best part? Certificate was in my email before he even left the car park. Digital, ready to send to the buyer immediately.Saved my $35K sale and probably my sanity. The buyer was impressed with how professional the whole process was too.

If you need a roadworthy and don't want the workshop runaround, just call ASAP. Worth every penny.
