Ascensus Opiniones 

Ascensus has been absolutely horrible, both from an HR leader position and as a customer. They are extremely difficult to work with and as a customer, trying to get a rollover, they sent the check to the wrong address after I confirmed a current address multiple times and then could do absolutely nothing to help. They could not stop or reissue the check so as of right now, I am out of tens of thousands of dollars. I would not trust them with a penny.

Like many others here, I'm a customer transferred from Vanguard & have found Ascensus, from online portal to customer service, to be absolutely abysmal. Needed to simply update my mailing address and there's no means to do in portal & no listed information for customer service.

My solo 401(k) plan was transferred from Vanguard to them a few years ago. Ascensus is horrible. The customer service sucks and is unprofessional. They never answer your questions. Also, their website is garbage and not user-friendly at all. PLUS, they charge "custodial" fees. FOR WHAT? They don't do shit. I am switching my account to Fidelity, who do not charge fees.

This is the worst company I ever met. In order to get my 401k Adoption Agreement, I have reached to:

Each of them asked me to email someone, or call some phone numbers, which I did, but none of them can solve the problem, by the time when I am writing this review, I still haven't got my Adoption Agreement. This company supposed not be existing!

Needed to get a distribution from my IRA, and received vague answers coupled with a smug attitude. However, on a few occasions during follow-up, I was patched to help in Alabama, and they were wonderful, thorough and very kind. My main person couldn't care less... as I could hear the tooth-sucking and nasty attitude. Their mantra should be--Get it ya D_mn self! Never use this company.

The absolute worse customer service. Got 3 different answers from 3 different people. Last one insulted me by telling me I didn't know how to count! Really?

This company stinks--don't know how much they paid Vangaurd but they couldn't get their own business I'm sure. Multiple errors, wrong emails, poor forms, lousy communication, terrible website...the list goes on--wish zero stars was an option!

i also was upset with vanguard when they transfered over my 401k to ascensus, BUT, after two years of using Ascensus, i have to say I'm pleased. it's a very easy to use site. just made my contribution for 2025!

My account was a transfer from Vanguard. Some of the Ascensus employees I have talked to have been very helpful while others have not. The website is very hard to navigate and sometimes impossible to find answers. ( Try finding your monthly distribution.) I had to look up the support phone number using Google. Ascensus is the worst financial platform I have ever used. It looks like it was set up by someone who has no expereience in finance. I have complained to Vanguard about it....one of the most unprofessional decisions ever made by Vanguard financial was to transfer client assets to Ascensus.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have been trying to roll two 401k together, both on vanguard. Ascensus has denied the transfer every time for 3 weeks now. I am even working with a broker to sort it out, so it's not like there should be a ton of errors. 10 out of 10 do not recommend. Do your employees a favor and avoid this company.

Vanguard switched me over to Ascensus two years ag0. Finding information on the website has been difficult and financial transactions are done via mail. Basically, if you have to transfer money, it will not be done electronically but sending information via the USPS and may take up to two weeks. I never had any difficulty with Vanguard transactions and could get them done in two days at the most.

Ascensus is so hard to work with. Just got off a 45 minute phone call with someone who knew nothing. She didn't know what the 529 Quickview was and said she worked for 529s... In the meantime I had to find what I was looking for, by myself. I wish she would have just transferred me to someone who knows what they're talking about.

Horrible customer service, poorly trained staff, disorganized processes. It took an hour and 20 minutes to make a contribution to my Simple IRA.

Ascensus will mislead you! Steer clear of them at all costs! They even lied to the BBB stating they had addressed my complaint when, in fact, it was 6 months later when they responded. The complaint was closed as “unresolved” and no resolution was ever offered. This is a horrible company to invest your funds with.

The guy assisting me was very condescending and rude.

Vanguard switched my account to these garbage thief's. Took me 2 months plus to get my 650k back from them anyway they could stall and hold it they did. Get your money away from them as fast as you can. State federal and local authorities should shut these scammers down !!! Just the worst financial service company I have ever had to deal with. Stay away !!! Get your money out !!!!O

Paid extra for my funds to be sent 3 day! Says on my app and the phone that I should have received in May 30th!! After sitting in hold forever, the representative stated that their syst is changing and the entire day of checks that were to be sent 3 day, went out regular mail. No phone call or email to let clients know! Also it’s been 8 days! Regular mail should be here by now!!

If I can give negative I would. Bunch of crooks!! Do not sign or give them authorization for auto pay. Even when terminated they will process payment and refuse to issue a refund!!

Terrible experience. High fees. And staff does not know anything when asked. Choose something else.
