It would be helpful to be able to list a good time to take/answer phone calls. I work in a profession where it is not appropriate to have my phone on me and only have short windows of time to make or accept phone calls.

The reason for the switch was an easy one - the rate is almost as low as anywhere and there are no fees.

Switching was easy too, Athena were great to deal with over the phone and via email.

Easy to deal with, fast approval

Better communication from legal stream dept. Poor communication.

Very easy and quick to refinance. Easy user friendly hub and helpful informative emails and texts that keep things moving.

Overall very good experience. The team are incredibly friendly and personable. Only slight issue was the ambiguous timelines for the loan approval when it came to processing from the bank's solicitors.

Athena were great to deal with and when things got tricky with settlement I was able to speak to people that could help me quickly.

Great rates, Average everything else.

If you are after a low rate with no fees they have what you are looking for. If you are looking to have any sort of features managing the account go elsewhere.

I was willing to look past the lack of an app or offset account initially. After the product and features have been announced but not delivered I am finding myself looking to move to a bank that charges for them.

I recently had a call with their abrupt staff and I've decided to move on.

I'm placing a value on my own time and the features & service other banks offer.

Applied for refinance loan with Athena. Overall easy experience. Just be mindful that being an online only setup some information on the web app may not appear right away when uploaded. Athena team was however helpful when chasing this up with them.

I have been impressed with Athena and the loan application process. The LVR interest rates are attractive and a great idea. Communication ways has been great as has been the communication. I am dissatisfied with redraw procedure and will be moving on.

As a first home buyer Athena is the first lender I’ve dealt with and they’ve taken the stress out of the process. When my properties digital valuation came back short they managed to turnaround a physical valuation within 24hrs and provide unconditional approval, all within my contracts cooling off period. I was so so impressed and felt the stresses of buying a first home were truely understood by their team! Communication is also great, and love the text message feature!

Recently moved my home loan. When my previous bank recieved the transfer request the gave me a better rate then what i was moving to athena with but thats exactly why i decided to move... big 4 taking the p#ss and preying on laziness to keep gauging working familes. Tech was a little painful moving but well worth it in the end. Athena might be digital but always easy to speak too. Highly recommend everyone to move.
