Brilliant engagement ring for my now fiancé. Lovely staff, affordable and brilliant service. Very happy and would happily recommend. I'm thinking of getting our wedding rings from here too!

Avoid Austin Blake

Avoid Austin Blake – repeatedly misled, ignored, and still no resolution

I purchased an engagement ring from Austin Blake Nottingham and the in-store experience was excellent at first. Unfortunately, everything that followed has been unacceptable and has heavily impacted what should have been a special engagement for me and my fiancée.

Below is the exact timeline of events to show just how poorly this has been handled:

• 29 December – Returned the ring to the Nottingham store for resizing and was told 2–3 weeks.
• 29 December – Confirmation email stated 2–4 weeks.
• 15 January – Called Customer Services; told the ring was at the workshop being done.
• 22 January – Emailed Customer Services for an update; received no reply.
• 26 January – Called twice; staff said they were unsure where the ring was. Told I would get a call back; no call was made.
• 27 January – Called again after no call back; again told I would be contacted; nothing happened.
• 29 January – Called the Nottingham store and was reassured the ring was “definitely at the workshop” and not to worry.
• 2 February – Found out the ring had never been sent off at all and had only left the Nottingham store the previous week.
• 2 February – Spoke to the assistant manager, Trevor Bernard, who admitted the mistake, said he would raise a formal complaint and keep me updated.
• By 11 February – Still zero contact from Trevor or Customer Services.

To put it plainly: I have been repeatedly misinformed, promised call backs that never happened, ignored across emails and phone calls, and left completely in the dark. Staff knew the ring had been sitting in the store and still chose not to notify me, even while I was contacting them multiple times for updates.

My fiancée had her ring for four days, and we are now approaching two months without it due to their errors.

This level of dishonesty, lack of communication, and total absence of customer care is unacceptable. I would strongly advise others to avoid Austin Blake entirely based on this experience.

If I could go back in time, I would never have purchased from them.

Engagement/wedding rings

Bought engagement ring and me and my wife's wedding rings from here.

Staff were really nice and welcoming, understood what we were after for our budget and we were both happy with the outcome.

Had a order issue with engagement ring (diamond i ordered wasn't actually available) wasn't the shops fault but was resolved quickly.

Would recommend to everyone.

Staff at Austen Blake Nottingham are…

Staff at Austen Blake Nottingham are brilliant from start to finish first with engagement ring 💍 went in with not a clue and walked out a happy man with a ring personalised to my liking cad design made for me and kept me up to date with the making of the ring with picture updates

Then second time I went in for a surprise wedding ring for the missus to add to the one she ahead already decided on
staff kept it a secret and same again from start to finish real good customer service very helpful

Would highly recommend Austen and Blake Nottingham

All staff are very helpful and knowledgeable

We went into the store to try on a…

We went into the store to try on a couple of rings with stones in different sizes to see what looked best. We dealt with Matt in the Nottingham store and he was super helpful and patient as we made our decision. He was also great at the ring collection letting us know we could contact him if we needed anything at a later date. The ring is beautiful and we are super happy with the service we received. Would highly recommend Austen and Blake to anyone!

Engagement Ring

My husband and I were in search of a new engagement ring due to my previous ring being damaged. We had the most amazing time learning about natural and lab constructed diamonds along with a service that made us feel very special. Matthew was exceptional!

Poor communication

First sales assistant quite brash and pushy, the sales assistant when we went to collect (Trevor) was great though.

We had to send a ring to be resized (it was broken in this process). We were told we'd need to go back to store to collect the replacement but the ring was sent to our house with no prior warning/communication. While this was more convenient, we didn't know it was being sent so thank goodness we were there to accept such an expensive delivery.

Super service from start to finish!

Shivarni at the Nottingham branch was super helpful with my recent engagement ring purchase. I went in with a rough idea but realistically I had no idea how much choice there would be. She was supper helpful in showing me different designs, bands, diamond options etc and in the end picked a lovely looking ring, the ring was then ordered and help for a week or so ready for me to pick up and take on holiday for the big proposal. Shivarni then reached out after I returned to see if a resize was required or not.
Super service from start to finish!

We came to just look around…

We came to the shop to just look around but the amazing Kirsty , at Nottingham spent 3 hours with us showing us different designs . She was patient , friendly and always had a smile . We felt were in safe hands and ordered our engagement ring . A month later and the ring arrives , it’s gorgeous ! Kirsty is a super star and for anyone so so so lost with the whole engagement ring market then come and see Kirsty 💍
