Great experience at Available car - Sutton
Having never used Available car before I was slightly sceptical. However I found the whole experience very enjoyable.
Maddie from the Sutton yellow team who was warm, approachable and very competent. Her calm and knowledgeable manner made me feel relaxed and she dealt with my matter of fact approach really well. I was then handed over to Jamie who’s swift and efficient way of working me feel like I was in trusted hands. Jamie listened to my requirements and concerns and reassured me they were warranted and provided me with generous solutions. Even the hand over with Ryan was dealt with professionalism and ease.
I’m thrilled with my new car I love it and I will recommend Available car Sutton in Ashfield to anyone who will listen. I would def use them again.

Unavailable Car
Purchased a car and the initial experience in honesty was pretty decent, so much so I recommended a friend to the same branch, arranged a date for pick up and thought all would be simple.
Received a call to say they'd found an issue with the seat and they would replace it, my options were to either pick the car up as planned and return to get the seat fitted at a later date, or just wait, I opted to wait.
In this period I decided to take out GAP insurance via a 3rd party, who asked for the cars mileage, when I provided the insurers the milage stated by available car, they advised me that it was less than entered on the previous MOT and therefore I couldn't be insured (understandable).
I then queried it with available car who said they would rectify it but it may take some time. This is when their incompetence started to shine through, call backs never came, I had to endlessly chase and they then sent the car back to their supplier under an indemnity claim, so the car I'd purchased, paid a deposit for and taxed etc was no longer mine, and I didn't get a say in the matter.
They then sourced me a similar spec car and I arranged a date to come and see it, they left the original salesman to deal with me and hadn't handed over any notes, so the salesman thought he was getting another sale, when in fact I never completed on the original one. Awful communication.
They then tried to credit check me again which I had to contest, tried to make me pay another deposit for the new car and I still had to chase them for information, strangely every time I phoned they were just getting round to looking into my issues.
This whole process took the best part of a month, and the friend I recommended - they also had an equally bad experience with the same branch, with issue after issue appearing. The never even formally responded to my complaint either....
Finally got the car but at no point was any good will gesture offered and I had to chase any material loss myself, they showed no hint of being proactive and I will be telling everyone who is in the market for a new car, to actively avoid them, their processes and due diligence are extremely poor and I'm dumbfounded how they run a business like that.
It can't be a coincidence that we both had a dire experience. Avoid at all costs.

Great customer service
All staff was super friendly from the minute walked through the door to been asked what sort of car we was looking for. All staff including the sales team and handover was easy and smooth.

I removed my last review as I was promised that my issues would be resolved but I am afraid I was wrong.
I bought a 2023 car from Castle Donington on 21st March this year, owned it for 27 days when it broke down at night, unable to drive, no power and showing a malfunction that suggested a serious problem.
Under warranty I wasn’t too concerned until I tried to contact After sales which proved difficult with promises of passing a message and getting them to call back. When someone eventually rang they said I would have to get the vehicle recovered to them at my cost. Friday I posted a quite tame review expressing my disgust at having to sort this myself. Friday evening I get a call from a manager assuring me that this problem would be rectified as soon as possible on Monday and the car would be put on diagnostics to find out the problem……but would I remove the review.
Monday came and I waited until 12 noon to see if I would be contacted to let me know what the problem with the car was, then I called again only to get the same response, no one was answering and a message would be passed on. I asked for a manager which I got but he knew nothing about the car in fact he said he had been told I had driven the car in with the problem!! In fairness he did find out that they had ordered quite a significant part and it may or may not be in on Wednesday??
Meanwhile how am I supposed to go to work? I have to get someone to take me which means 4 journeys am and the same pm. I am on minimum wage and with fuel costs this is crippling.
I had asked for a full refund which is within the 30 days which so far has been ignored and the nature of the fault on a 3 year old car does not fill me with confidence to drive it again.
I asked for the Customer Care Manager to call me again as the fault needs explaining in detail so far nothing, but this review may prompt contact hopefully.
There is no urgency for communication from After sales when you have a serious problem with your car, but sales get a rapid response.

The staff was very helpful the only thing was that we we're hanging around a lot to see one staff to another. We were booked in for 11 to pick the car up and we just got there before 11 we were given a number and to take a seat and help ourselves to a drink. Nobody came to us until 11-40. This isn't a complaint just putting on how I felt. I'm really pleased with my new car. So thank you Available car .com
Sold a motability car with full service…
Sold a motability car with full service history to be provided with NONE. Tried twice now to get hold of it with no luck and now I need to sell the car it’s significantly reducing the price. Nobody wants to help aftercare is shocking.
Overall a positive experience
Overall a positive experience. Available Car won't do deals or throw any incentives into the deal. I wouldn't bother with the car mats they offer, very expensive. I was told the car I was buying had no mats and a set would be £200. I turned up, there were mats already in the car, so I think it was a ploy to sell a new set. That said, the car was presented in fantastic condition, had been fully checked and documented. The wheels were fully refurbed as well. The process was nice and simple and really friendly on site. I would definitely use them again the in the future.

Wasted time & left feeling extremely dissapointed.
First experience of available car was unfortunately a poor one.
I called up requesting to text drive a vehicle and made an appointment for a specific time.
I drove the 45 minute journey and waited to be seen.
Having given all my information I was then informed that I couldn't test drive the vehicle but they could drive me one round to look at.
I hadn't driven 45 minutes to just look at a vehicle which Is why I called prior to going so that I could specifically book a test drive.
Both the sales and reception staff had no clue about customer care. They did not know how to respond, no apology and didnt seem bothered at all that I'd had a wasted journey of over 1.5 hours.
Why someone couldn't have called me to stop me going over if they knew the test drive wasnt available made me extremely disappointed.
When you intend to spend over £20k you would expect to be treated a little better.

This was my first time purchasing a car…
This was my first time purchasing a car from available car and will be my last.
The first visit, I was there for 4 hours. When it was time to test drive the car, it had a flat tire. This wasn’t picked up by available car and was only noticed by myself.
On collection of the car a week later, I had paid a fortune for the diamond bright coating and was promised the car would be clean (look like new)as it was filthy on viewing. Unfortunately, the car was still filthy inside on collection.
Overall, a really disappointing experience.

Poor experience waited 11 days
Poor experience waited 8 days for the car after purchasing only to be told the day of collection it wasnt ready, was told had to wait another 3 days for collection. Had paid the £12k already and insured the car. Had sold my car that morning as was meant to collect new car so was left for 3 days with no car to get to work or get to school spent over £100 in ubers and taxis for 3 days. No apology for the inconvenience caused and my cancelled plans they couldn’t have cared less. 11 days to get the car ready after purchasing is a long time and pretty poor service to be let down and left with no car!
Repeat customer, highly recommended.
I've bought 2 cars from Available Car now and recommend them highly. Their cars are top quality and the staff are very courteous and professional. I find them to be efficient and diligent, basically hassle-free. From my experiences, I'd say they're a decent, reputable company.
