SCAMMERS - Item delivered not as advertised.

I made an impulse purchase of a NyxCharm - Mystical Black Cat Head Sculpture on Instagram. I did no due diligence to check reviews and wish I had. Payment was slick and I received an acknowledgement email promptly - all seemed legit from a site with good vibes, allegedly based in Manchester UK.

Item that arrived is nothing like the item shown on the website. It appears made of stone, with natural colouration and a really aesthetic head shape. When my wife opened the gift, she asked me if I had made it!? A cheap plastic mouse-looking head in black, with some white lines painted on it to resemble markings, quality was appauling.

I reached out to Avery & Rose, assuming they had been let down by their supply chain. The email response was well polished with no reference to my photos or the fact that it was not the same item. They told me I must return the item at my cost as per the T&Cs to an address in China, they emphasised that shipping was at my risk and it might be better to keep it. When I rejected this I kept getting offers of a refund if I provided details, 10%, 20% then 30% refund if I returned the item and it arrived which I suggest would not.

Based on my experience this whole thing is a SCAM, based in China not Manchester UK. Please avoid. I am £30 plus packing out of pocket but ither items on the site are a lot more expensive despite all the discounts, which on reflection should have been a red flag. Gutted.

Very poor quality, took 10 days to arrive from China.

Bought a cardigan it didn't fit. Tried to return it but was told it had to be returned to China no warehouse in England even though the name on the site was Manchester. I was offered a refund of 15% originally. This site definitely states refund in 30 days so misleading. Terrible firm to deal with don't buy off them or you will end up out of pocket. I ended up 22.00 out of pocket with a cardigan that's no use to me

The cardigan that I’d ordered that was advertised was a pretty blue knitted cardigan. The one they sent me was huge made polyester and disgusting quality. Very ugly pattern. They are refusing to give me a refund despite not sending me the in correct product.please Do not use this company.! it’s a real scam.

Do not use this company. They completely rip you off. I ordered a cat’s head with bright eyes. The photo of it looked beautiful and could have been made of marble! But when it came it was cheap plastic. Not even worth £5. All what they sell is the same.

Was dubious would not arrive after reviews but was reassured. Not quite as pictured but is ok.

The same as everyone else. Terrible quality, poor sizing, Costly returns that o doubt could be trusted to be received. Wish I’d read reviews before ordering.

What a pile of shite! Don't buy anything off them. I put my Cat Head Ornament in the bin. Put it down to experience!

To all those who have been scammed by this false website. If you paid by cc you can get a charge back to them by contacting bank . Keep all details and receipts, and any communication you have had about returns . Photograph items

Don’t even want to give 1 star, absolutely shocking. The cardigan I ordered looks nothing like the photo at all and I will not be wearing it, if I can’t get it returned free of charge it will go in the bin. I ordered a lovely embroidered cardigan, the cardigan I received was a cheap printed cardigan.
Shame on whoever is running this scam of a company.
I have now received an email,about a return stating I cannot return to them but have to send to China at my own cost or they will give me a 15% refund, an absolute disgrace of a company

What a load of rubbish. My delivery went straight in the bin. I'd be to embarrassed to take to charity shop. Bought several pairs of shoes over£100 nothing like the photos advertised on Insta..... shambles

Really disappointed. The goods are NOTHING like what is shown on the website. Total con and I will NEVER be ordering from this company again. Impossible policy regarding sending back

Very pleased with my purchase, very stylish, well made and love the colours to choose from. Would definitely order again. Much better styles than found on the high street.

Kept well informed of order fracking and the trainers were a genuine offer and very good value for money

Absolutely disgusting, 1 star is more than its worth. 3 weeks to arrive. 2 cardigans so hideous I won't insult a charity shop by taking them. The reply from my emails was quick but offers insulting. They offered refund at my expense to China and ensured that they would take no responsibility for it arriving. The 10% refund and keep the things...same as previous reviewer..told them too keep it. DO NOT use this company. I feel really silly by being taken in by them, but lesson learnt.

I never thought I’d be a victim of online falsity, as from the outside, Avery & Rose look like a genuine online company, but actually, what they sell and what they deliver are two different things.

I bought, what I thought was going to be a marble looking spherical cats head, with beautiful hazel eyes that look like silk.

It was a plastic globe. Cheap. Nasty. And a con. And £30!

Complaining to the absurd non caring non yo team, I was offered 16% goodwill gesture of money back and then to send the item back to China.

Lols. What jokers. Appalling.

Received my item, not the quality as pictured and asked to return, told I could only return it to China a my cost. The cost is more than I paid and I emailed requesting details in Manchester as That is where it says they are based on the packaging and I get no reply. Do not buy their products which are showing as at a huge discount, but when you receive it you will most likely not even think of paying half what I did for my item. This company should be struck off and not be allowed to operate in the UK.

Needed to return one of three items as was too short. Told needed to return to China ! When ordering you are told it’s Manchester based…..really misleading . Offered so much off and to keep item ….Hello ! I told you it’s too short , no matter what discount is offered. They have you over a barrel . Definitely would NOT recommend .False advertising .
