Ordered a DVD on 10 May. It was a gift ordered in plenty of time - three weeks before it was required - so I thought it'd be fine as the item was showing as in stock on the website, and turnaround time was stated as fov working days.

After hearing nothing for ten days I emailed them. They replied saying that the item had to be ordered in especially for me and there was no timeframe for its arrival. Huh? It's *still* showing as in stock on the website, so why does it need to be ordered in?!

Appalling service and now I'm left without a gift for my daughter and no time to get it elsewhere.

Always a good experience using banquet records for pre orders and existing stock! My go to, and will always recommend to friends and family x

I ordered a signed vinyl; the shipping was a bit slow, but that was expected and justified, as they also explained in the order confirmation email due to the overwhelming number of orders. The package arrived with perfect packaging. // everything was great. Thanks

I’ve ordered from this company and contacted them several times regarding vinyl stock etc, can honestly say you would spend a long time searching for a better, friendlier and more informed collection of people.

It took 3 and a half weeks for my order to arrive! I live locally. I was instructed to email regarding my order then to whatsapp when I called regarding an update on my order (as I hadn't heard from Banquet Records). I was informed I have to wait until the 12th May for my order to arrive. The Customer Service is poor. On a plus note the vinyl arrived. It was tracked 48 and wasn't despatched 2 weeks ago. I received the confirmation email over 2 weeks ago said it had been despatched then. I placed my order on the 14th April. I understand RSD can be busy and hectic but over 3 weeks wait isn't good

I've had two really negative experiences with Banquet Records online orders now, which is a shame because their physical shop and events are great. However, their online customer service is really not good.

I pre-ordered a vinyl with special delivery for release day, but it was dispatched late and won't arrive on time.

When I enquired, I received an unprofessional and inaccurate response claiming it had already been sent. After some back and forth with Ben which was not particularly helpful and did not acknowledge any issue with their communications or system of handling mail orders, it only showed as received by Royal Mail after I asked for a refund, so it won't arrive on time. I also paid special delivery but it seems they have used a cheaper Royal Mail service.
This follows a previous issue where a warped vinyl only resulted in a frustrating partial refund offer, after emails back and forth (again with Ben) including sending videos of the problem.

While their physical shop might be fab, their online order service and customer support are poor, and their online stock system seems unreliable. Avoid it.

My Record Store Day 2025 purchase arrived beautifully and very securely packaged, with a couple of handwritten cards inside. As always, a pleasure to buy from :)

Thank you Banquet Records for making RSD stock available online after RSD weekend for those of us not near a record store on release day. Purchased the title I was after from Banquet Records web store. It took a couple of weeks to arrive but this was not a problem for me. The store kept me informed throughout-huge number of orders and working through them. Received another email when my order was dispatched and record arrived safely couple of days later. Very well packaged with extra cardboard inserts to protect the record in the post, and a friendly note inside thanking for patience with dispatch time.
Absolutely delighted with my purchase, positive experience, 100% recommend this store. Thanks again :-)

I only wanted one thing on Record Store Day, and even getting to my local store super early and making a rushed drive to another store, I came up empty handed. In desperation I hunted online and found that Banquet had what I wanted available on the Monday evening online shop. It was a rush, as clearly it was a popular item.. but I snagged one. And then the waiting game started. Now, I do absolutely understand that they are an Independant shop, that Record Store Day is a big deal, and Easter isn't great for deliveries.. so I will confess I was a little concerned when it took 3 weeks to turn up. But turn up it did. safely packaged in pristine condition. So yes, fantastic, you just need to be patient

Have used Banquet Records many times over theyears and they have always provided excellent service. If i have ever had an issue they have resovled it very quickly and efficiently - thanks

I was delighted with every aspect of the order I placed with Banquet Records.

Both the record and delivery were reasonably priced.

My order was acknowledged almost immediately, I received updates about its progress, including its despatch date and when it was delivered I could see that it had been packaged securely.

This site is a total scam. Tickets for a show my wife and I wanted to see went on sale at 11:00:00am April 30. Clicked on tickets at 11:00:02, page informed me at 11:00:03...sorry, this event is sold out.
That's impossible. It's either clickbait, or this site caters to bots.

I've used Banquet for a few years now and have never had an issue. It's nice to support a real record shop.

Ordered a Shed Seven album on RSD and have nothing but positives about Banquet Records. The album was despatched timeously and arrived in perfect condition.

Biggest compliment I can give is that I will definitely buy from Banquet Records again

Pretty awful experience. Ordered some vinyl in good time for my son's birthday. I have had no response at all. Rang the store and was told that they have no visibility of mail order and, "don't I know that they are an independent that does as best as they can". Had a go at me for "being cheeky" and left me feeling like I wouldn't ever want to deal with them again, which is a shame, because I spent many a happy afternoon browsing and buying vinyl in person in my teenage years and this experience will drive us to Amazon.
