Based - what a let down and did not deliver in the 3-5 days to a USA address!
When confronted was advise some items were no in stock, but no notification of this and advised them unless the order could be for this Sunday 26th, then I would have to cancel…
Their customer service is shocking and they keep using excuses but honestly have a care free attitude and would never use them again and would advise anyone else to think twice before ordering anything, I think their sleep in ratings is proof enough standards are slipping and they need to have a major rethink on how to deal with customers!

Your shampoo and conditioner are one of the worst ones I’ve tried. You claim it’s all natural so it’s good but it’s actually horrible at cleansing. You got conditioning agents in the shampoo that kill my wave pattern. And you have a quat in the conditioner that made my hair irritated. The clay is actually the worst one I have tried, it’s more medium shine medium hold. I bet I can find a better synthetic clay that performs way better and is safe.

I got the deodorant and the curl mousse. The curl mousse works great but took a long time to come. The deodorant took much longer to come even though I ordered them at the same time and it smells awful (I got the bergamot and vanilla). I also got a free gift which is the toiletries bag and that reeked of a rotting fish smell. Most of your guys products work great you just need to work on shipping times

I bought sea salt spray, texture powder, clay, and pomade. It smells good and most work pretty good but my problem is with the clay. It might of been just mine because watching other videos the based clay is smooth and easy to scoop. Mine is not, it is really stiff and when i tru to scoop a little out it comes out chunky and flakey instead ofof smooth and in one peice. Its a little similar with my pomade it’s a little flakey but it’s still good. Let me make it clear that i did not leave it out with the cap off it came to me like this. The clay still works but it feels like it’s harder to apply when it’s like that because spreading around is difficult. Is this normal? Please help me.

I originally had an issue with my order, but I want to update my review because BASED handled the situation very well.

Within just 2 hours of contacting their support, they responded, explained the situation, and provided a fair solution. My concerns were taken seriously, and the customer service was professional and helpful throughout the process.

Mistakes can happen, but what really matters is how a company resolves them. BASED resolved my issue quickly, and I’m very satisfied with the outcome.

Been using them since late 2024 and couldn’t go back to the old products they give similar results if not better than the other curly hair products in store and knowing that it’s not going to damage my health in anyway is good to know

I've been using Based for the last year, and I just wanted to leave a review.
In my experience, based has always delivered within their predicted time frame every time I've shopped from them, which is about 5 times now.
I cannot recommend a product more than based Bodyworks' products, they saved my hair and my confidence. If you are struggling with your hair, I recommend giving Based a try; their products really work. My last Purchase was their skincare Duo, and since my skin has never looked better. Before that, their hair clay and salt spray, which has really helped give my hair volume and keep it through the day, which I've struggled with previously.

Good service, good product, perfect.

I placed my order over two months ago, and I still haven’t received my package. What’s even more frustrating is that they completely ignore my emails. I’ve reached out multiple times asking for an update, but I’ve received no response at all.

This is one of the worst online shopping experiences I’ve ever had. Waiting this long without any communication is unacceptable. If there are delays, the least a company can do is keep its customers informed instead of disappearing.

I would not recommend Based to anyone. Poor customer service, no communication, and no sign of my order after two months. Save yourself the frustration and shop somewhere else.

I got based at target a couple days ago best order of my life I got the sea salt spray and my middle part went from strait to wavy and textured in 1 try

Based is a great company and the people will go out of their way to make sure your experience is a good one. They did as they promised. I would order from them again.

You’re misleading customers.

When I applied a discount code, the shipping cost increased by an additional $14. So instead of receiving the 10% discount promised by the code, I ended up with only a 1.04% discount.

I am very dissatisfied with this.
