Dion and Aaron have done a fantastic job for me, recently selling one of my investment properties. From the first meeting with Dion to the last email with Aaron they have been treating me with a lot of respect, they have been very fair with the entire process, they kept me in the loop with all the developments, they used they own handy men to ensure that my investment property was ready for the sale campaign and then ready for settlement and together we have come to a favourable outcome that could have been expected in these challenging times.
Besser + Co are also managing two of my investment properties and since they took over from Castran Gilbert, I could see improvements in the way they are doing business.
I will not hesitate to use Besser + Co for future real estate business

Terrible agency that mismanaged my property resulting in years of unpaid council rates. Will not recommend anyone using them unless they want to pay council penalties and interests on top of being charged management fees.

Addendum: their reply try to make it sound like I switched agency but it’s not true. They just changed the name of the agency. The staff remains unchanged.

I would highly recommend Dion & Aaron when it comes to selling your property!

We went with a bigger firm at first who made us some promises they couldn’t keep and also created some unrealistic hopes just to get us onboard.
Long story short, we quickly kicked them to the kerb once we realised that we were getting taken for a ride.

We immediately contacted a whole list of different agents and eventually came across Besser & Co who immediately made us feel like we were valued and nothing was too big of an ask from that first phone call.

It was within a few days of contacting the team that we had the property online across all platforms with the most professional photos & videos plus a for sale sign out the front. This timeframe was almost unheard of!

Even though we had high expectations, Besser & Co did not sugarcoat anything and were extremely transparent from the start which we really appreciated!

Dion & Aaron did everything they could and worked extremely hard on this campaign & through a big list of potential buyers and eventually got us the positive outcome that we wanted.

We are also renting a property through Besser & Co currently, while looking for our next purchase and it has been seamless to deal with Dimmi & the rental team.

Thanks to Besser & Co, we no longer think all Realestate agents are the same!

Initially i encountered issues with how their team miscommunicated information regarding the extent and cost of the shared fence repair, but in the end, the managing director showed his sincerity by getting the tradie back to fix his poor workmanship and negotiated with him to get some of my money back. The managing director offerered to personally take on the refund delay by the tradie and pay the refund on their behalf.

We applied for and were approved for an apartment on Clarke St, Southbank, but just before we were able to move in there was a freak sewage backup through no fault of the rental provider; the timing couldn't have been worse with our wedding day coming the following week. Besser + Co. went above and beyond what was required of them and did everything they could to get us into a new apartment as soon as possible. They impressed us so much that we decided to stick with the lease and wait for the cleanup. Thank you so much to the Besser + Co. leasing team, and especially Ella Frankiewicz the Operations Manager who has stuck with us every step of the way and showed us that she really cared about our situation despite being extremely busy and under pressure. She has been truly exceptional and an absolute pleasure to work with. Thanks for saving the day Ella!

I rented through Gabby Mercuri at Castran & Gilbert in the first instance. Property: 309/77 River Street, South Yarra; then the rental side was transitioned to Besser & Co - Gabby still being my main contact. Gabby has been an amazing agent through the many years I rented the property. I could not wish for a better experience. I would not hesitate to contact Gabby for any rental needs in the future. Although there were some difficulties initially in moving things online, Ella was super patient and efficient in resolving the issues. Our property management has recently changed and we could not be happier. Thomas (property manager) has been polite, available, prompt and thorough in following up on all queries and concerns. I met with 4 different agents before deciding on Besser. Loved the small agency feel with the personal touch and Dion was the only one who offered video included in the package which was something I really thought would help.

I also liked the reviews on Trust Pilot which seemed much more genuine than the reviews on other sites where every review had perfect spelling and grammar and just looked edited to me.

I was very happy with the service throughout the process - I was kept up to date with how many people attended each viewing and whether any of them were interested. And anything that he organised for me - like cleaning, he passed on the actual cost without a mark-up.

Due to COVID, the auction got delayed but Dion was all prepared for this and moved everything forward smoothly. When the date finally came, not enough people turned up for the auction so we had to cancel it on the day which was a pity -but the property was sold for more than I asked for just 2 weeks later.

All in all, would highly recommend Dion and Besser.

I'm sorry to say that my experience leasing a property from Besser & Co for 2 years was genuinely horrific. distressing, and unprecedented. After 20 years as a tenant in Melbourne without any problems whatsoever, I was shocked and distressed by my experience renting from Besser & Co. Their conduct was so disgraceful that on 2 separate occasions the VCAT tribunal granted me a restraining order against them (an unusual and in this case necessary step). Besser & Co were bullying, aggressive, incompetent & unprofessional. They did not complete urgent property maintenance (meaning a window between the loungeroom and a public alleyway was broken for over a year, posing a serious security risk). They bullied us into having 28 open inspections in a few months without compensation, and attempted to bully us into having illegal inspections during Stage 4 lockdowns. They reduced our elderly neighbour to tears by abusing her in person and attempting to force her into displaying a For Sale sign across her fence which would have blocked the light into her apartment. At every step they were not only incompetent but malicious. I cannot stress enough how unusual, unprecedented, disgusting and horrible their conduct has been.

I can’t thank Dion and his team enough for the campaign he ran. The communication was second to none and I was able to achieve a result that I didn’t think was possible. If you are looking to sell your house, I would not hesitate in choosing Besser and Co. Thanks again Dion
