Stay away
Crazy that all their 5 star reviews come from within 1 week of each other and then immediately stop. This company uses predatory pricing and will continue to charge you after you stop using them. It's impossible to vet the therapists, who work remotely from all over the world. The company is registered in the US but is run internationally from Bali, (where they invite their SLPs to come work for a week), and has zero customer service. If it feels too good to be true — it is. Find a more local SLP for 1:1 time with your child, and you'll thank me for it later.
Edit: the owner of BetterSpeech is erroneously calling this review fake. I’m using a pseudonym because I am currently considering legal action with a number of other former BetterSpeech customers. I am not “Jonathan Dane,” whoever that is, but it appears BetterSpeech clearly has enemies if they feel the need to try and erroneously dox people.

Hi Michael — we'll address each point directly because the claims here are factually inaccurate and important for prospective clients to see corrected.
A few clarifications for anyone reading: (1) On reviews: our Trustpilot reviews come in consistently every week — anyone can verify this by sorting by date. (2) On vetting: every Better Speech SLP holds an active US state license and an ASHA CCC-SLP credential; credentials are verified at onboarding and re-verified annually. (3) On location: Better Speech is a US company registered in North Carolina and our SLPs are US-licensed practitioners practicing under their state license. Our founder works remotely from Asia, but no clinical services are delivered from outside the US. (4) On customer service: we respond to every support email within 1 business day and to every Trustpilot review within 7 days.

Where do I start?
Where do I start? My son asks for Ms. Maria all the time. Even though we had once weekly sessions, he looked for her multiple days a week. She was able to captivate him for 30 minutes and improve his speech greatly in a very short time. Interacting with Ms. Maria has been life changing for our family because now that he can understand us and communicate with us more clearly, he is more confident and his behavior is much better. We are so grateful.

My therapist was amazing. She was cautious to not let your expectations run wild; however, having someone with the speech therapy style of Dr. Mort Cooper, someone who believes a person can completely stop stuttering, could be advantageous.

Lori was awesome
Lori was awesome. I would definitely see her for my daughter again in the future. She was nice and friendly and really helped my daughter improve over the time they had sessions. I have also learned some valuable tips from her and am happy with how it all went. It is simply about finances right now I can not afford this service anymore.

Perfect online source for SLP.
Great Speech had been perfect for my son. We live in an area that is rather remote and don't have many SLP options. Great Speech has given us early intervention for our child. Our therapist is fantastic and has been working well with my toddler to keep him engaged in the session and work with us as parents.

Better Speech has unethical business practices
We got a speech therapist through Better Speech. She was good. We liked her a lot and felt she was helping our daughter.
Her therapist was not earning enough money through Better Speech and decided to move on to a different company.
She had already built a relationship with our little girl and we wanted to continue. However, Better Speech threatened legal action of she continued to see us.
Our little girl is heart broken.
We will not be using Better Speech.

Your therapist decided to move and work for a school, and we offered you to switch to a wonderful and highly experienced SLP that would pick up exactly where your previous therapist will end, and we trust that your daughter will love her too - but you decided not to.

Mixed Review
As a contracted SLP working for them I do enjoy using Zoom and the documentation system (most features). However, the library of activities needs to be further developed to meet the needs for all clients. Unfortunately, there are some issues with the office/billing department, marketing/new client referral process, and communication within the company that I believe still need improvement at this time. Otherwise, I really enjoy the diversity of clients I have received over time.
