Can’t beat them

This was the third bike I purchased from bikes direct and unlike the other purchases this bike was poorly assembled and in mediocre condition at best. The assembly appears hurried and mistakes are taking months to sort out. I had been very pleased with all the bikes I purchased on the website in the last few years, including a beach cruiser and a nice road bike. I was even recommending the site to all my friends. I'm being much more cautious now. I was happy with the quick response from the service help that emailed me back quickly but didn't really offer a ton of help.

I had the bike less than 2 months and have already had to replace the tires. The tires started cracking after the first ride.

The bike I ordered was a value bike. The components work well enough when not stressed i.e. shifting under strain. The bike was equipped with Sram’s base model drivetrain (1by 11) and Shimano hydraulic brakes. Frame is double butted Reynolds strong kinda heavy. No pedals which is standard but an upgrade could be offered making the purchase stand out over other competitors. 1by12 would have been a better offering. I do Like the mixed components in this case. Price considerations with the drivetrain offered; could be better. I only know that now after putting a couple hundred miles on the bike. Hope this review helps.

Great bang for the buck. I now have five Motobecanes from BD and they have all been awesome purchases. Two mountain bikes (HT and FS), one fat bike, a road bike and a gravel bike. I'm very happy with all of them!

The bike had some cosmetic scratches for which I got a 10$ refund as a aolution and than I explained the support an issue with the derailleur adjustment sticker being misleading and the fact that the bike is totally unadjusted at delivery and they sent some videos but not really addressed my question.
I think overall the bikes are a good deal but I think a better attention to the quality of the adjustment would provide a better customer experience.

29er fat bike rims fit perfectly, they where true and not damaged.
