Buyer beware. This is a scam. Despite advertising that the item is a hand-picked book with a goodreads score of 4.5 or better, what you get is a pamphlet advertising a book, and some cheap stickers and a highlighter from the dollar store. It makes me sick that I ordered two of these and wasted almost $60.

DO NOT BUY. I'm not sure why they say blind date with a book, as they don't even send you a legitimate book. It was a chapter or two from a book in a pamphlet form and the items they give you with it are poor quality. I would give 0 stars if I could.

The same as what happened to everyone on here, apparently. No books, just a couple of CHAPTERS from a Book. Pen that doesn't write, a bookmark and a sticker. So incredibly disappointed

SCAM scam, took 2 months and no book, totally fake advertising. Learned my lesson, shame on me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Like all the others, I found this to be a scam, but also a crime. I received a pamphlet with four chapters of a Nicholas Sparks novel with no copyright page. I wish it would be worth the effort to turn them in. I should've known what "Bookish" means.

Counterfeit product. Received a few chapters of a book, not an actual book. Definitely not as advertised. Took over 6 weeks to receive and now battling with PayPal to get my money back. They should be shut down.

BUYER BEWARE! This is a scam! As others have reported, this company does not deliver the items promised. I received an incomplete booklet (up to chapter 2) of a Nicholas Sparks book, a crappy pen, and some junky stickers. I was also OVERCHARGED and only received one item when I ordered two. I am currently disputing the transaction with Paypal. Do not buy from this "company." The fact that reviews aren't available on the site speaks volumes!

TOTAL SCAM!!! Sent total rubbish and an extract from a Nicholas Sparks book, not even a complete copy. Nothing like the advert at all. Will be reporting this website. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!

So I just got my "book" in the mail. And I'm really disappointed. This is Not what is advertised, not what influencers have shown in THEIR videos. This is an absolute scam and the should be ashamed of themselves. Scamming people out of their HARD EARNED money is the lowest of lows. The description reads "All books have a Goodreads rating of at least 4.5, but often higher! All books are brand new. All of the extra goodies included with your book may vary, but will resemble the same aesthetic that is pictured!" But it is NOT EVEN CLOSE, I received a snippet of a Nicholas Sparks book and not even considered the genre that I picked! If "Threw Weeks With My Brother" is considered a Dark romance, I have more questions for Nicholas Sparks... This is absolute garbage and have asked for a FULL refund.

Giving this company one star is one too many. I received a partial book by way of a booklet. The last page didn't even finish with a full sentence! I asked for fantasy and received a love story instead. The presentation was horrible. Everything just thrown in the envelope and shipped.

This company is a joke. Do not buy from them. I paid over $40 for blind date with a book and received a paper "packet" of ten pages of a Nicholas sparks book. They offered $11 compensation and that was it. I ordered after seeing TikTok’s and reels promoting this garbage company. They deserve NO stars. Total scam.

I loved the idea of Date with a Book, but this is a complete scam. False advertising on the website where all “reviews” and videos were even packaged cute. I ordered three gifts, and I ordered on 12/9/2024 and received it 1/10/2025. Should’ve known from the get go it was a scam as soon as I saw it was being shipped in Italy, but had a bunch Chinese symbols when it came up on PayPal and had HK for Hong Kong on my statement. I also didn’t get two of the genres I ordered, and like everyone else said, they give you a pamphlet book with two chapters. Cheaply made and a complete joke!

After emailing them about my dissatisfaction and wanting a refund, they tell me I got the correct order but as a sign of goodwill, they will offer me $9 refund. Absolutely not! Disputing it with my bank. Save your stress and most of all your money.

Coming to Trustpilot from now on to avoid this from happening ever again!

DO NOT BUY! HOW CAN THIS COMPANY KEEP SCAMMING PEOPLE? If I could leave ZERO stars I would. Seemed like a wonderful idea but I waited almost 6 weeks for a thin condensed overview pamphlet of “Dear John” ( not even the type of book I chose) a dollar store highlighter, a broken plastic flower, a piece of string, a sheet of awful brown stickers and some tiny post it tabs. Unreal. Contacting BBB.

I placed my order 12/9 and it's 1/11 still have not received any of the books I ordered I have reached out to them they gave me the tracking number to track them but all it says is in transit. I'm going to give it few more days if I don't receive them by then I will reach out for a refund instead.

Do NOT order. Utter scam. "Blind Date with a Book" ordered. Delivered was 2 pieces of crap stationary and a highlighter and no book. Delivered over one month after ordering. Customer service says the order is correct and offer $5. I paid over $50 for 3 books as gifts. Absolutely deplorable company and a scam, scam, scam. Reporting to the Better Business Buearu and State of CA next.

After more than a month of not receiving my items and emailing company and ending up with 2 different tracking numbers, I figured it was a scam. I want my money back.

I placed an order on 12/5/24 thinking this would be cute for Christmas gifts.. I attempted to cancel that day after feeling like it might be a bad idea. Could not get through to anyone via phone in the UK(I was under the impression this was a US company)or email. Account was charged right away. It gave me a tracking number that came from Romania, through customs and went to Illinois, on its way to NY. It’s now 1/10/25 with no further tracking, no response via email or a call back and no books. Highly doubt I’ll see any updates or hear from them…

I got scammed. Im usually good at looking at reviews but apparently bizarre is close enough to bizarre google auto corrected it and it looked legit.
Partial reprints of Nicholas Sparks books. Like they didn’t even try. It took over a month to arrive from china as well. Their website says satisfaction guaranteed or they’ll refund all your money. They offered me 5$ of the 25 I spent. Complete scam. They’re just a bunch of frauds.

Complete SCAM, absolutely GARBAGE! I ordered a thriller theme, and got a pamphlet for dear John!! Not a book, not a thriller!! Packaging doesn't look ANYTHING like it's advertised and it took 2months to arrive!! These people are the SCUM OF THE EARTH!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I don't understand how a "company" can do this to people and still look themselves in the mirror!! HORRIBLE, WILL NEVER PURCHASE AGAIN!!!

WORST company ever! I saw an add on Instagram and it looked like a great idea and so fun! Well I orderd 2 books, Thriller and horror, the orders were placed Nov 30th, one was just received Today, that in itself is ridiculous but let me tell you it's the cheapest crap I have ever received, literally $1 crap and it was the pamphlet, not a book and Dear Jon, not even the types I asked for! STEER CLEAR, VERY CLEAR UNLESS YOU WAHNT TO GET SCAMMED!
