Blackmoor is one of very few Nurseries in the UK offering gardeners the opportunity to buy fruit plants direct from our Nursery. Blackmoor Nurseries is part of Blackmoor Estate in Hampshire which has been run by the Selborne family for several generations. At Blackmoor we are very proud about our heritage and history, and we’re absolutely passionate about our fruit plants. We have been growing them at our Hampshire based estate for over 100 years. All of our staff have been trained to the highest level in both the growing and packing of our plants and we all strive to produce top quality fruit trees and soft fruit plants. All orders are subject to rigorous quality tests at every stage of growth, and throughout the processes of lifting to packing. Roots are soaked and covered before shipping which means that each plant reaches the customer in prime condition. Our customer service team are all Blackmoor Nursery people and are happy to provide expert advice either by phone or email. They are industry experts and are always happy to share their knowledge and tips about how to get the very best from growing fruit.

Good healthy trees
Good healthy trees, had several before, and we collect them as we live nearby. This time it was a Bramley cooking apple with a rootstock suitable for growing in a half barrel (with five caster wheels for easy movement) on our patio area in our small garden.

Delivery came on day specified
Delivery came on day specified. I'm happy with both apple trees-- they look healthy and strong although dormant right now. Against a third tree I bought somewhere else, they look that bit sturdier. Particularly pleased with the 3 yr old Bramley. The other is Katy.

The experience with this nursery was excellent as usual.
One again I received the most beautiful tree & fruit brushes.
I was kept fully informed about the progress of these plants & when they were on the way.
They were beautifully packaged & attived in excellent condition with no damage at all. The delivery companys progress with the delivery was brilliant & I was kept fully informed when it was going to be arriving. The delivery company had fully understood what was in the package & how fragile it was.
I love this nurserys plants my rhubarbs that I purchased last autumn have done so well & i fully expect these recent purchases to perform well & produce plums & gooseberrys next summer I can't wait.

The tree arrived ready to plant out…
The tree arrived ready to plant out with the stake I had also ordered. You kept me informed of how the tree was developing and so when it was ready for transportation.
It would have helped if the packaging had been labelled so the delivery firm understood it was a tree. From the footprints on the packaging, the driver had walked all over it and the box was dented.

However, I'm genuinely sorry to hear about the condition of the packaging upon arrival. It’s very disappointing to know that the delivery firm was not careful, and I apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused.
We do put a label on the packaging to indicate it contains a live plant. This may have been missed by the delivery driver.

Superb comms and super-fast delivery
Superb comms and super-fast delivery. Exactly what I needed to stake my freshly moved fruit trees into their new locations. Would highly recommend as the tree stakes that are sold by the usual culprits were next to useless.

Quality plants and great service
Although I couldn’t find a way on the online order form to specify delivery dates I couldn’t do, it was sorted out easily by phone. When they arrived I was so impressed by the standard of packaging. Nothing was the slightest bit damaged, so different from most I’ve used before. The plants appear to be top quality with an impressive root growth still intact and I’m looking forward to the fruit next year
