I would not use this company again.

I purchased a small component to fix my dishwasher and paid for the expedited shipping over the weekend and the part came later than expected. We should have had it early on Monday and then I think it came on Tuesday but it was already past due. Reported this to request a refund since the person that I was doing the job for decline my service. The request for refund and return of the part went unanswered for over 48 hours. Following all parts of their requirements wasn't enough. Apparently. I would not use this company for purchases in the future.

Expensive Design Flaw

I installed a new blue star range in 4/22 and the gas regulator malfunctioned in 1/26 and had to be replaced. I can understand that even high-end products can have defective parts that do not hold up. Blue Star either could not or would not explain why they placed the gas regulator behind a RIVETED panel, requiring a very expensive fix. It is extremely poor engineering to place a commonly replaced part behind a riveted panel. I would not recommend purchasing a Blue Star range for this reason. I also expect a reputable company to be willing to discuss design anomalies.

Do not buy Blue Star stoves

As a senior citizen I stretched to buy a BS stove so that I could develop a new revenue stream as I am aging out of conventional businesses. The stove arrived with some burners not working (I had the delivery service document), scratches, the door did not catch properly, and also the kick plate was slightly bent away from the machine. I asked the delivery service, since it was still morning, if they could return to the warehouse and come back with another stove. They stated they could not and as it was the day before Thanksgiving and I was hosting I could not be without a stove. I immediately called Blue Star with all of these concerns who right from the start were unwilling to swap out the machine but instead insisted that they would just send a service tech out to correct. Paying almost $6000 for a stove I believed (and still do) the stove should've been in perfect condition. There have been ongoing issues since the purchase. Blue Star still refuses to do the right thing and insists they will only repair what is obviously a defective unit. Since I was given no option I had service come out and replace the igniter November 2025. The igniter just failed again.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. I was so excited to have our custom Dual fuel 48” stove with griddle and hood when we moved into our new home February 2024. I read the paper manual and did the seasonings etc. went to use the griddle and it never heated up enough to even make pancakes. I of course called the place we purchased it from and they had a service tech appt set up. Blue Stars regional manager Nick came to our home with a repair tech. Nick said he started on the repair side and it was an easy fix. Just needed to check a few things and make some minor adjusts and it was fixed. Well we have now had 9 service calls and everything has been replaced several times. After this last repair it worked to make pancakes in the morning and thought it was safe to have friends over for Philly cheese sandwiches which we have always made on our previous Viking griddle without fail. The griddle never heated up even after a 1.5 hours time to melt the cheese. They promise to take it to management and call back with a resolution and of course Allen never does. I have had a 1/4 of my stove not work since it was installed. It will be almost 2 years with no resolution! This is beyond unacceptable. Stay far away from Blue Star appliances. They apparently don’t care about their brand, name, reputation or customers to own up to poor quality.

Stay away from BS, major safety issue, read recall..poor product

Stay away from BS. They have serious recalls on gas leaks. Happened to my family. There is gas build up and door explodes open. My wifes hair caught on fire. Read about their recall. Technician said hey have lots of more issues with the oven. Mine I had to spend another
$500 to get more parts replaced...They contacted BS to alteast cover the parts and they said no...Very cheap company that only cares about the bottom line.. Read about the lawsuits they have...sad to see a good product run to the ground...

BlueStar Refrigerator

I purchased a refrigerator, range, and rangehood from BlueStar. The range and rangehood are fantastic, but I had some issues with the fridge. The fridge is a 36″ PRO Built-In Refrigerator/Freezer Left Hinge. My problem started when the refrigerator was not used often because it was in a vacation home. It started producing too much condensation around the doors, and mildew grew. I kept cleaning it, but the mildew stained the rubber seal and created some corrosion stains on the metal.

My solution was to keep the house as cool as possible to avoid the issue. However, the hinges started to rust away. Once I noticed that the screws were rusting away, I contacted the company to see what could be done.

I waited two hours on hold on the phone to speak with a rep, but once we made contact, communication was pleasant, and it was easy to send them pictures of the issue. In addition, it was easy to continue communicating via email to coordinate between the service visit and the results of the visit.

Once the need to replace the hinges was established, the company agreed to send a pair of hinges at no cost to me, and I would be responsible for the price of the service visit and the labor cost for replacing the hinges. The interaction was cordial; the rep. understood my situation and did not have to convince them of anything.

The replacement parts arrived quickly, and I appreciate that BlueStar covered the cost of the hinges outside the warranty. I expected them to do so because the appliance is too expensive to have that kind of issue. I have other refrigerators of different brands and have never experienced condensation issues in the same environment. According to BlueStar this was an environmental issue. I can also add that perhaps the size of the appliance requires more ventilation.

I love cooking in this vacation home because of the BlueStar appliances. I have experience with Fisher & Paykel products, and I can tell you that once you try a BlueStar appliance, you will never want any other brand.

I am removing one star from the review because all companies should be able to care for customers in less than two hours of waiting on the phone.

3 month old 36” Bluestar door panel…

3 month old 36” Bluestar door panel glass shattered during a 7 minute cook at 425 degrees. Delivery of part replacement and repair will take at least a month. I received an automatic reply when addressing my concerns via email. I’m not confident repair will fix the problem. Unit at the very least should be replaced. Buy another product.

I have had a wonderful experience with Bluestar Ranges…

I have had a wonderful experience with my new Bluestar Range. Purchased at the end of November after thanksgiving. I was told it would take 5-weeks to be shipped from the East coast, it was made clear to my salesperson that the piece come in undamaged. For the cost of the unit, I expected perfection. The salesperson assured me it came packed on a pallet from the factory, and would be opened upon its final delivery to me. I was contacted a week early to informed me the unit had arrived and was ready for delivery. The unit came the following Thursday as schedule my delivery was scheduled to arrive between 10 am and 2pm. The delivery company arrived at 10:30am with everything as expected. They disconnect my old stove and range hood, installed a new hood, and then installed my new Bluestar Range. The cleaned up everything up from the installation process, during the process they replaced the gas line connection, tested for leaks, leveled the stove, pushed it into its final position. The reached the levels and made final foot adjustments. They tested everything to ensure all burns, oven, and the convection fan all working correctly. It took the installation crew about 3 hours to get everything all setup, tested and cleaned up. I couldn't have been happier with the way everything went. Since using my new Bluestar I have nothing but good things about this range its fantastic and has elevated my ability to use my professional cooking skills in a home setting. I simply love it; great range!......

We just purchased a house with a…

We just purchased a house with a Bluestar range that is less than 4 years old. It's been disappointing, to say the least. There are many problems with the range. The burners do not light, the oven temperatures are not accurate, and worst of all, customer support is unresponsive. The range also lacks basic features, like convection cooking. For $13k I expect more. We now have to replace the range with something that can actually be used in homes for people that can cook.

We’ve had our eight burner range for 10…

We’ve had our eight burner range for 10 years and have had nothing but problems with it since early on. Customer service is a joke. You would think spending $14,000 on the range would entitle you to proper customer service, but it does not. You were also think that it is constructed well, it is not. I would go with another high-end brand, then blue star. I tried to share this with Blue Star today, but was put on hold for over a half hour.

I purchased a 36” platinum stove in…

I purchased a 36” platinum stove in February, because i was told the price was going up 10% in March. ( now they say it’s going up in October). They would not sell it to me direct, and told me who to call to buy it. They shipped it across the country to the wrong address. ( I only live a couple hours away). Bluestar said they had nothing to do with it, even though they told me where to buy it, and would not help me. Then it finally showed up damaged and missing the hood in August, six months after paying for it. Again bluestar claimed they had nothing to do with it and i had to work it out with the shipper and the distributor. I refused the damaged range. Then the distributor asked if i would take it back and they would refund some of my money and fix it for free. I agreed. When it can back i fixed all the damage except the bent and broken parts myself. And temporarily hooked it up to test it. (Still did not have the hood for a proper installation). It worked one day then the oven quit working. Again i called bluestar and they refused to do any warranty work “ because it was not installed by a licensed installer “ ( which you cannot do without the hood, and they already agreed to fix it). After many phone calls and emails i was put in touch with their regional manager who assured me that it would be fixed by his best technician. Instead he kept messaging me to try this, and try that, even when i kept telling him that it does not work right. That it did for a day. I tried some things as suggested by their tech and was able to get the oven to light, but it will not come up to temperature. It’s now October. 8 months after i have paid for the range and put many hours of my labor into a range that i was assured,(even wrote a contract stating so) that would be fixed for free. Now they are telling me that it’s normal for the oven to not come up to temperature, because it is so big. And I still do not have a hood. For $10,000 i expect more than a broken oven and a stove top that you cannot use because you do not have a hood to go over it. And the range had striped threads on several bolts. Poor fit and finish throughout. Plastic folded in the sheet metal bends that could not be removed. Just incredibly poor quality for this much money. I am incredibly disappointed as i am sure anyone would be. Stay away from bluestar. They are very expensive junk with zero customer support.
